If you stir black coffee and remove the spoon, then pour cold milk into the cnetre of the swirl, a dimple will appear. But if you pour in warm or hot milk, a dimple will not appear. Why?
Cold milk is more dense than the coffee, so when you pour it in, it sinks and creates that dimple. Warm milk is not as dense so it doesn't sink.
