Enjoy the week-end!

Movies: This is the End, something that I think will use the few good
parts of Judd Apatow movies for something decent, and just try to
avoid Man of Steel.

Carbon Arc's third anniversary screening happens Friday at 7 with
National Parks Project: 13 filmmakers, 39 musicians, 13 National Parks
and will be introduced by John Walker who made one of the films.

On Saturday the 15th Zac Crouse will screen his documentary Paddle to
the Ocean at 1313 Hollis, made in the aftermath of his friend's
accidental death while kayaking. Zac is a musician and he made a
companion record as well.

It's Greek Fest weekend!

Get out and enjoy the weekend!

This weekend seems like a good one to spend at the movies, and Carbon Arc has Laurence Anyways, Xavier Dolan's third festival hit, about a transgender man, on Friday at 7 at the Museum of Natural History and the Oxford is showing Whatever Happened to Baby Jane at 1 on Sat-Sun for its anniversary series.

The Stages Theatre Festival continues this weekend. I highly recommend the beautiful and hilarious The Perfection of Man, a weirdo sketch comedy compilation with a very sad core. Also playing: Treasured Stories by Eric Carle from Mermaid Theatre (for the family) and the one-woman show Kingdom from Newfoundland. On at Neptune Studio until Sunday.
