Biography

Tara Thorne is a journalist from Lantz, NS.  She spent seven years on staff at The Coast and remains a regular contributor to the arts section.  In addition to her weekly slot with Don and Liz on Thursdays, you can occasionally hear her on Q with Jian Ghomeshi, where she talks about television, and on CBC Radio 3, where she talks about hot Halifax bands and shows.

In her copious spare time, Tara writes and directs short films and plays, including I said the loud part quiet and the quiet part loud, Gracious, and the Atlantic Fringe Festival sellout Law & Order: Musical Victims Unit.  Tara also plays bass in the indie rocke band Bloodsport (Yes, like the Van Damme movie!)
