Hot Hot Hot Weekend!

The Atlantic Film Festivals 's Summer of Spielberg kicks off Friday with our old friend E.T.. Hit the Halifax waterfront (just past Bishop's Landing) for dusk to check it out, and the season schedule is here.

Pride Week is officially on and the awesome Queer Acts Theatre Festival returns to the Bus Stop Theatre with shows Thursday to Sunday, including the sketch comedy Jet Legs, Lee-Anne Poole's Country Song and Evan Brown's couple dramedy Litmus Road. Twelve bucks a show or $35 for the whole thing. Grab the schedule here.

MUSIC

The annual Evolve Festival is on this weekend in Antigonish. Featuring Xavier Rudd, Skratch Bastid, Classified, July Talk, A Tribe Called Red, Slowcoaster, The Stanfields and a bajillion more, you can still grab day passes.
