Using a slave chain to teach students history
A high school teacher in Tatamagouche is using a disturbing item from the past to teach young people about the history of slavery in Nova Scotia.
The North Colchester High School teacher has found an old rusted chain. It was discovered in the basement of a house in Port Greville. It's believed to be a slave chain from the 1800's.
