Christian chaplains only

Last week, CBC learned that the federal government is cancelling the contracts of part-time non-Christain chaplains at federal prisons. Zia Khan is a Muslim Imam and the director of the Centre for Islamic Development in Halifax. He was one of three Muslim Chaplains serving federal prisons in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia until the contract was cancelled last month.
