Sentenced in scalding case

A man formerly of Lakeville has been sentenced to four years in prison for scalding a toddler with hot water. 23-year-old James Parker-Thorne received a four year sentence (minus time served) in a Moncton courtroom Thursday for scalding the girl in bath water nearly three years ago. The girl's mother spoke with reporters after the sentencing.
