Football in the CBRM gets set to kick off Minor Football is making a comeback in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality after a 5 year-hiatus. But the volunteer association behind that hopes you'll pick up the ball and run with it. It's looking for financial and volunteer assistance. CAPE BRETON DISTRICT HEALTH AUTHORITY Volunteers Needed Volunteers are needed for the Meal Assistance/Feeder Programs at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and Northside General Hospital. Volunteers will assist with or feed meals to patients daily. For more information on this program, contact Volunteer Services at 567-7293.

Now Open: Howie Center C@P Site The Howie Center C@P Site, located in the Howie Center Fire Hall, has been re-opened to the public. The site provides free high speed internet access as well as other computer services and support, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. They are accepting registrations for their upcoming Adult and Senior Computer Basic's Program! ACAP E-SWAP ACAP Cape Breton coordinates e-swaps - they accept used computer equipment for redistribution. This diverts electronics from landfills. If you or your business would like to donate working computer equipment to the e-swap, drop items off at ACAP Cape Breton, 582 George Street, Sydney, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All items will be redistributed back to the general public free of charge on the day of the swap. Please Note: All hard drives will be erased & formatted by ACAP's Information Technology staff before redistribution.
