Dr. Gail Eskes of The Brain Repair Centre at Dalhousie University in Halifax is accepting submissions for the "Dalhousie Story-Writing Competition"... the stories will be developed into a computer game to aid individuals with attention and memory problems after a stroke.

The Travelling Terry's are made up of two ambitious friends, 23 year-old travel journalist/writer, Sam Vandenberg and 19 year-old travel photographer, Cameron Shaughnessy. They're traveling across Canada in an RV, and blogging about their trip. They've started in Ingonish, where they're working for the summer at the Keltic Lodge.

Students from across the province will have the chance help create a cyberbullying awareness campaign by sharing their ideas about the problem.
The province is asking students to submit videos, music and other art for an ad campaign to raise awareness about the problem of cyberbullying.
Students will have about six weeks to submit their work on the Unlike Cyberbullying
website. The concepts and ideas will be judged, and the student or group that submits the idea chosen will work with the province to create a public service announcement that will run during the 2012-13 school year.
The deadline is July 13.

The Savour Food and Wine
festival takes place in Sydney, May 17 at Centre 200. Tickets are 59.00 each + tax.
Music camp is a weekend of instrument, dance and songwriting workshops, with open jam sessions, interpretive demonstrations, and a Saturday night concert. Featuring fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, songwriting, and tinwhistle - with instructors JP Cormier, Roger Stone, Hank Middleton, Anthony Rissesco, Darren MacMullen, Paul Davis - and on-site luthier Johannes Sturm. The square dance session will be led by Roddie's Square Dance Society and caller Colette Sampson MacLean.
Cost is $195. ( $150. if you register before May 01) per person for the weekend event including much food and entertainment and all workshops.
