Gordie Sampson

When country super stars like Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Martina McBride step on stage to perform, there's a good chance they'll have a Gordie Sampson song in their repertoire. The Big Pond Native makes his home in Nashville now where he's helped write songs for some of the biggest names in the business.
He won a Grammy in 2007 for co-writing "Jesus Take the Wheel", for which he also won a Juno. He's also won several East Coast Music Awards and Canadian Country Music Awards. And when he isn't writing for other artists, he writes a few songs for himself. He released a new album this summer called "Almost Beautiful". (runs 17:34)
