Joella Foulds

joellafoulds185.jpgAs the Artistic Director of the Celtic Colours International Festival, Joella Foulds oversees every aspect of the nine day event... all 45 concerts in 35 communities around Cape Breton Island. She co-founded the Festival back in 1997, shortly after she left CBC Cape Breton where she hosted Information Morning.

Celtic Colours has drawn thousands of visitors to the Island and generated millions of dollars for the local economy. Last year alone, 18,000 people came to the Festival and spent over $6.2 million in the region.

Joella Foulds grew up in Manitoba. She has an honourary doctorate from Cape Breton University and was named to the Cape Breton Business Hall of Fame in 2006. (runs 15:27)
