Daniel MacIvor
Daniel MacIvor is one of Canada's most prolific playwrights. He also acts, directs and promotes all things theatre. He grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
His plays have been performed across Canada and at international theatre festivals from New York to Australia.
Daniel MacIvor received a Genie nomination for his screen adaptation of his play "Marion Bridge" in 2004. He has won the Governor General's Award for Drama - an overall award for excellence at the New York Fringe Festival, and Canada's richest prize for theatre, the Siminovitch prize, worth $100,000.
