Natalie MacMaster200.jpg

From small stages at community halls in Inverness County, NS, to the set of the Tonight Show and large and prestigious venues around the world, Natalie MacMaster has honed her craft and carried her brand of Cape Breton fiddling to thousands of fans.

The 39 year old mother of four grew up in Troy, Cape Breton, steeped in music, in a family brimming with talent.

During her career, the Grammy nominated, Juno award winning fiddler has shared the stage with many world class artists... but she never forgets her Cape Breton roots.

Steve Sutherland spoke with her from the CBC's Glenn Gould studio in Toronto where she was working on her 11th album, "Cape Breton Girl". (runs 17:39)
