Alistair MacLeod

Alistair MacLeod185.jpgIf you're in the market for a new story from Alistair MacLeod, you have to accept that patience is a virtue.

Alistair MacLeod's entire published output consists of just 17 short stories and one novel over the course of 28 years. But obviously he takes the time to get it right - because he's among the best in the world at what he does.

Alistair is originally from Dunvegan in Inverness County, Cape Breton, NS, where he still spends his summers. The rest of the year he lives in Windsor, ON, where he used to be a professor of English.

Steve Sutherland spoke to him from our Windsor studio.  (runs 18:03)

Alistair MacLeod passed away April 20, 2014 at age 77
