ideacity is a three-day gathering of minds held each June in Toronto, produced and presented by the Canadian media innovator and pioneer, Moses Znaimer. This episode deals with the latest ideas from a new breed of entrepreneurs. The speakers include: Geordie Rose, founder of D-Wave, on the freaky future of quantum computing; Tasha McCauley, faculty member of Singularity University, on the Telepresence "Bot," a portable robot you can send anywhere instead of yourself; Jack Andraka, a 15 year old high school student who invented an inexpensive test for pancreatic and other cancers; and Cody Wilson, law student and anarchist, on why he posted the design for a printable gun on the internet.
