Igor Stravinsky and Aaron Copland
Two of this year's most momentous musical anniversaries are about spring. This month marks the 100th anniversary of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, and 70 years ago Aaron Copland wrote his masterwork, Appalachian Spring. Michael Enright talks to Robert Harris about how The Rite of Spring changed the world, and to Eric Friesen about how Appalachian Spring became a quintessential American classic.
