Canadian video artist Jillian McDonald spent much of the past
year as 'artist in residence' at Glenfiddich Distillery, in the
highlands of Scotland. As a Burns' Night tribute to both Art and Whisky,
IDEAS host Paul Kennedy visits her in Dufftown, and watches while she makes single-malted art.
is a young Canadian conceptual artist who was born in Edmonton and raised in Winnipeg. She is currently living in Brooklyn, New York, and teaching at Pace University, where she co-directs the Pace Digital Gallery
. Her work encompasses elements of video art, net art, performance art, installations and photography. Last year, she was one of eight artists from around the world to be awarded a residency at Glenfiddich Distillery
, Dufftown, Scotland.
