Jazz Mentors!

This weekend on Hot Air, we'll pay tribute to teachers & mentors. Jazz musicians are always happy to talk about the players who have influenced them and helped become better players. We'll find why Hugh Fraser picked fellow trombonist Slide Hampton, why saxophonist Mike Allen looks to guitarist Sonny Greenwich as his mentor. We'll also hear from singer Dawn Pemberton, bassist Jenn Hodge and many more.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
