Open Air

This week in the Hot Air time slot comes the first of 2 shows highlighting the CBC Vancouver Musical Nooners series.

"Open Air" hosted by Radio 3's Grant Lawrence will feature music by the young, rootsy, pop band, Redgy Blackout. The Sojourners (pictured) bring an impressive gospel blues sound to the show and a brand new Latin band called Locarno is profiled in their maiden voyage on CBC Radio. Led by Juno award winning guitarist and singer, Tom Landa, Locarno creates a fresh and authentic sound that you won't want to miss.

Incidentally, if you love to show your appreciation for good music in a vocal way. Give us a shout...literally. Attach your best mp3 formatted whoop or holler into an email and send it along to Open Air. We promise to include your creative vocalizations in our upcoming show on August 13.Whoo hoo!
