A Tribute To Billy Strayhorn

Billy "Sweet Pea" Strayhorn wrote some of the best loved songs in jazz, from "Take the A Train" to "Lush Life." Strayhorn was Duke Ellington's frequent collaborator, and often lived in his shadow.

Strayhorn passed away at on May 31, 1967. This week we shine a spotlight on the soft-spoken composer and arranger, with an encore presentation of our tribute to the man and his music.
