ST. URBAIN'S HORSEMAN
|SEPTEMBER 19 & 20 AT 8pm
WINNER of the Governor General’s Award, St. Urbain’s Horseman is a complex, moving, and wonderfully comic evocation of a generation consumed with guilt -- guilt at not joining every battle and at not healing every wound.
Jake Hersh (David Julian Hirsh, Naked Josh) is a television director of modest success, a faithful husband and a man disgraced. His alter ego is his cousin Joey -- a legend in their childhood Montreal neighbourhood. Nazi-hunter, adventurer and hero, Joey is the avenging horseman of Jake’s impotent dreams. When Jake becomes embroiled in a scandalous trial in London, he puts his unadventurous life on trial too. The two-part miniseries also stars Selina Giles (V for Vendetta), Elliott Gould (Ocean's Thirteen) and Andrea Martin (Black Christmas). It airs Wednesday, September 19th and Thursday, September 20th at 8pm.
