Doug Dirks talks to Mariatu Kamara, she was just thirteen years old when she lost her hands in a rebel attack in her home country of Sierra Leone. She now lives in Toronto, where she works for UNICEF Canada representing children in armed conflict.


Mariatu Kamara is one of the subjects in a photo exhibit called "Eleven Women Facing War" running at the Military Museums of Calgary until December 2nd.
