HPV vaccine in Calgary Catholic Schools
The Calgary Catholic School Board is revisiting the issues of offering the HPV vaccine in its schools. Girls in Calgary's public schools can already receive the human papillomavirus shot, but girls in the Calgary Catholic School District don't have the option. Calgary Bishop Fred Henry supported the decision in the past, citing moral and religious reasons. Last night the board decided to survey parents on their thoughts. Mary Martin is the chairwoman of the Board of Trustees for the Calgary Catholic School Board.
