Teaching multiplication

Alberta's math curriculum does not require teachers to drill students on times tables. Over the past five years, Alberta has been phasing in a new math curriculum. Marj Farris has been teaching math in Alberta for 31 years, she's also the president of the Mathematics council of The Alberta Teacher's Association.
