Cold virus and cancer

A recent study says there's a new weapon in the fight against cancer, it's a common cold virus. A team of researchers, including one based here in Calgary, has just completed a study of colon cancer patients, and the results suggest that cancer killing viruses could soon become a widespread treatment option. Matt Coffey is a cancer researcher and the Chief Operating Officer of Oncolytics Biotech, Incorporated, a Calgary biotech company that develops cancer treatments based on viruses.
