Canada Day in Calgary is at Shaw Millenium Park starting at 10am.
There will be a Pow Wow at Olympic Plaza featuring drumming, story telling, crafts and cuisine from the First Nations Community, the Grand Entry is at 1pm.
There are activities planned along Stephen Avenue, Fort Calgary will hold a Canada Day celebration from 9 - 4, and the fireworks will go from the Centre Street Bridge at about 10:45.

Banff Lake Louise:
Canadian rapper Classified performs in the Shaw Amphitheatre at the Banff Centre Sunday, gates at 4, show at 5.

The day kicks off at 9am at the Royal Canadian Legion with a pancake breakfast, there will be a concert at Mitford Park from 5 - 9:30pm. More details are on the Town of Canmore website.

Spoiled kids myth
Writer and lecturer Alfie Kohn takes issue with the idea that kids these days are spoiled. His new book is called "The Myth of the Spoiled Child: Challenging the Conventional Wisdom About Children and Parenting."
