Olivier and Rejean, two members of Le Vent du Nord came in today to do an interview with arts reporter Jeanette Kelly.
We wanted them to do a little performance for us, but they didn't have their instruments. So they improvised, putting a stool up on a table in the Homerun hallway and doing a toe-tapping rendition of one of their songs.
They tell us it's an old Quebecois kitchen party tradition to put the fiddler up on the kitchen table, so he could play the music and tap his foot, and everyone else would dance around the table.
Scottish band Breabach is on tour in Quebec.
They stopped by our studio for an interview with Sue.
And they also sang a "wee song" in the Homerun hallway for our Web journalist Tanya Birkbeck.
The Good Lovelies are our in studio musical guests today.
Between their interviews with Sue, they were hanging out in our hallway lounge, doing yoga and getting crazy in the control room. And, catching it all on an iPhone video!
Here's the video from Kerri Ough's iPhone:
