Acid Attack

CNN's Anderson Cooper is trying to help a Longueuil woman get treatment for her scars. Tanya St. Arnaud was disfigured in an acid attack last summer. Her former boyfriend has been charged in the attack. Cooper has arranged for her to be flown to Florida for the treatments which should reduce the look of the burns. Dr.Jill Waibel is the Chief of Dermatology at Baptist Hospital in Miami. She will be performing the procedure for free.

Best Buy

Best Buy has closed 15 stores across Canada---including some Future Shops. Four closures in Quebec---they include the Future Shop at the Forum de Montreal, as well as one in Laval.
The company says it is restructuring to deal with the realities of the market. Esmael Amin worked at the Forum Future Shop---he was laid off this morning. He talks to Homerun's Sue Smith.

Today Richard Henry Bain's court proceeding was delayed for the third time.He will have to wait until next week for a court ruling on whether he is fit to stand trial. Bilingualism and the Brain

Turns out being bilingual is not only good for communication--it's also good for your brain. A new study from the Journal of Neuroscience found that bilingual seniors can switch from task to task faster than those seniors who only speak one language. Pap Test

The Canadian Medical Association released new guidelines about pap smears.
