1. Bubbles first and foremost, Prosecco Toffoli or Champagne Pannier.
2. Rose wines: Sweet like White Zinfandel or dry like Castello di Ama, best with food.
3. Lighter reds: Gamays or Merlots or if you prefer fuller bodied with a heartier meal certainly cabernets from Napa or Malbecs from Argentina.
4. Sweet wines: discovery of the month is Gagliano's Quebec project Vin de Glace de Frontenac.
