Robert is an award-winning broadcast journalist with more than 30 years of experience in public and private radio and television. In addition to graduating from Algonquin College in Ottawa, he attended Carleton University where he obtained a Master of Journalism degree. Prior to rejoining CBC, this time in Radio, Robert was a Senior News Anchor and Political Affairs Specialist for the Global Television Network. Before his stint at Global, Robert worked for 10 years with CBC Television, reporting on national, provincial and municipal politics. As well, Robert has been a regular contributor to TV Ontario's weekly political program.
Along with his responsibilities at CBC, Robert teaches Journalism Law and Ethics at Centennial College in Toronto. He has also taught Radio and Television News Production at Ryerson University.
Away from CBC, Robert enjoys discovering different parts of the world with his wife, Pat. Relaxing at home includes cooking and reading political biographies.
