Laura Di Battista is the host of CBC Radio One 99.1 FM's Here and Now.

A highly respected Canadian TV News Anchor and Health Specialist, Laura is an award-winning broadcast journalist with a 20 year track record anchoring CityTV's CityNews At Noon, and reporting on a regular basis for CityNews as the health specialist. A graduate of Ryerson University, Laura is a strong journalist, with an insightful voice that resonates a real passion for the city.

Rising above over 100 hopeful applicants who applied for the position after Matt Galloway left to take over as host of Metro Morning, Laura is trading her work in front of the camera to move behind the microphone for CBC's afternoon drive program, rekindling the flame for Here and Now as Matt did for Metro Morning.

Laura is a life long resident of the Beaches, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
