Using Bags to Fight Bugs
At City Hall Monday, councillors on the mayor's executive committee were getting ready to talk about the plastic bag fee.
Not about repealing it.
About doing something to make sure the money goes to worthy causes.
Councillor Michelle Berardinetti wants the committee to ask city staff to look into ways of convincing businesses to to turn over their bag fees to various causes - fighting the Emerald Ash Borer, for instance.
She joined Here and Now's Laura Di Battista with the details.
