ON STAGE: Richard Rose on FORESTS

A few years ago writer Wajdi Mouwad astonished Toronto audiences with his play SCORCHED. The award winning production at Tarragon enjoyed an extended run, and garnered a lot of attenion for the playwright from Quebec. The script for SCORCHED was then adapted into the screenplay for the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated film INCENDIES.

Can lightning strike twice? Tarragon is hoping so. Tomorrow night the theatre company opens the English language premiere of Mouawad's next play FORESTS. It's the third in a series of four works that includes TIDELINES, SCORCHED, and SKIES. Laura di Battista went down to the Tarragon to speak to returning director Richard Rose about what's familiar, and what's different, about the new show. Find out more at the Tarragon Theatre website .
