Hip Hop Summit

Throughout the month of March, CBC celebrates 25 years of Canadian hip hop with the "Hip Hop Summit". One of the highlights is a March 29th concert featuring big-name artists including K'os, Shad, Classified, Cadence Weapon and a veteran from the early days of the genre, "Maestro Fresh Wes" Williams. We spoke with him on Thursday's show.

CBC is not only broadcasting that concert on Radio 1, 2 and 3, but is offering listeners the chance to win tickets to see it. Check out the contest entry form at the CBC Toronto community page. CBC Toronto will be drawing two winners a day throughout the contest entry period. Entries will be accepted until March 22.

On April 1, everyone is welcome to come to the CBC Atrium at 250 Front St West for a celebration of hip hop with breakdancing, live visual arts, beat boxing, turntabling, panel discussions, a hip hop exhibit and more.
