The week in TCHC

A tough week is coming to a close at the Toronto Community Housing Corporation. On Monday, the city auditor revealed numerous examples of reckless spending and untendered contracts that may have cost the city millions.

Civilian board members at first ignored Mayor Rob Ford's call to step down. Then, at an emergency board meeting on Thursday, they resigned en masse. And earlier today, two of the four councillors who sit on the board - Frances Nunziata and John Parker - followed suit.Still, CEO Keiko Nakamura is hanging on to HER position - for now. So is former CEO Derek Ballantyne - who now works for another city agency, and the two tenant board members. City Councillor Maria Augimeri has also said she will defy the mayor. All that could change on Tuesday though, when city council meets to tie off some of the loose ends at the public housing agency.

Joining us now to explain where things stand - and what we might expect in the week ahead - was Councillor John Parker , formerly the mayor's designate on the TCHC board.
