Windows 8 and IE 11

If you are using IE 11 and are being prompted to download Flash, even though you already have it please try the following.

  1. In IE click the gear in the top right corner.
  2. Select Compatibilty View settings
  3. Make sure:
    • Use Microsoft compatibility lists is checked
    • cbc.ca is not listed in the Websites you've added to Compatibility View window. If it is select it and click Remove.
  4. Select Close

ALERT for former CBC TV analogue users

*THE FINAL OFFER HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 30, 2014.

On July 31st, 2012, CBC/Radio-Canada shut down its national analogue over-the-air television transmission system. Viewers who are not within the range of our 27 digital transmission towers can no longer watch CBC over the air. However these viewers may still apply to Shaw Direct's "Local Television Satellite Solutions" program, which offers FREE satellite service of a limited number of local television channels for those who qualify.

Shaw Direct's offer definitely ends NOVEMBER 30, 2014. For more information please call 1-888-782-7602.

If you are having problems viewing our videos or you are getting the message "content not available" please go to our Video Help page .

"Content Not Available" indicates being out of the country. If you are in Canada you may be receiving this message because your service provider has servers in the United States. Please check with your service provider to make sure your IP address is Canadian.
