Ah, nothing like a horseracing expression to make a point. "Entering the Homestretch!" But that's exactly what you and I'll be doing as we await the Season 6 Premiere of Heartland.

It's been over 150 days from the season five finale in March. And how many days are there until season six? I think you already know the answer to that. It's now down to 10 days. Yep! Single digits starting tomorrow.
I've been reading your comments and questions and although I'm not going to answer anyone specifically as I often do... I'm going to answer a lot of your questions next.
First of all, I started our visual countdown with a few shots of the Heartland production team. You're going to see many, many images of the actors in the upcoming months, so I thought it'd be fun to feature some of the first class crew that works with the actors while making Heartland, and give them a little recognition. Without them Heartland would not be the show it is!
Heartland premieres Sunday, September 16 across Canada (at 7:00pm. 7:30 in Newfoundland) only on CBC Television. Those of you in the United States who get CBC through your provider -- lucky you! If you don't get CBC, you'll be waiting a while before one of your broadcasters airs it. This is unfortunate, but the United States is 2 years behind in showing episodes and the series will be shown in order on stations who do carry it in America.
The day after each episode airs it'll be available online on this website for Canadians only. This isn't the CBC being mean; the CBC only has the rights to broadcast Heartland in Canada, which means they only have the rights to put it online for Canadians. There are rights holders in all other countries who can decide if they want to put episodes on their sites or not -- ask the rights holder in your country to put them online on their sites if you want to see them.
Netflix will carry a full season only after it's aired in the United States OR Canada. Which means after March of next year all of season six will be available to Canadian Netflix subscribers, while American Netflix subscribers will be able to watch up to and including season four.
Moving on...
If you're new to this blog, welcome! I hope you also like the show's page on Facebook at Heartland on CBC and follow our account on Twitter. Following these accounts means you'll be as up to date as you possibly can be about Canada's favourite family drama.
Production on season six continues until December 6 and I'll have many more tweets coming every day from the set. Every Thursday I'll have a blog post with information on the upcoming episode which will kick off next week (Yay!). Come back then and help me count down the last 3 days until new episodes of Heartland once again grace our screens.
That's next week. For now, here's a photo of Amber Marshall as Amy, riding the season six featured character horse, Phoenix Rising. You'll be seeing a lot more of him (and her of course) in future episodes.

So enjoy your weekend and until next week I will leave you with the sound of my soon to be ending countdown...
Tick... tick... tick
