In this Sunday's new episode of Heartland, Amy accepts the challenge of trying to take 3 former Mennonite plough horses and turn them into mounts for the police to ride. She knows it's a lot of work and so she asks Chase Powers (recurring guest star Torrance Coombs) to assist her. Now, as you know, Chase is dating Soraya but he still seems awfully intrigued by Amy. So if you saw Sunday's episode you know now that it was Caleb and Ashley I was hinting to you about months ago in here - not to mention a certain fan correspondent (I'm looking at you Macy!) who managed to get Graham to spill the beans a bit - when it came out that there'd be a marriage on Heartland sometime in Season 4. Yes, it was a bit of a trick, because you all thought at the time that they were already married...
Well, now they are - and here are the photos to prove it! Click through to see a whole bunch!

Sadly, there is no new episode of Heartland for everyone to watch this Sunday, because that national tradition known as The Grey Cup - the championship game of the Canadian Football League - takes place in Edmonton. And because so many Canadians are going to be watching it was decided - as it has been for past seasons - to not run a new episode of Heartland.
So instead, at 7:00pm CBC will be running a repeat of "Homecoming," the Season 4 premiere. This will give everyone the opportunity to dislike Blair all over again. But don't despair; there will be a brand new episode next week for all to enjoy (see below).
I'm not going to go into any additional details about the first episode of the season, which most of you have probably seen. Instead, I'm going to take this Thursday opportunity to let you know about some cool stuff, and to also take a little time and answer some of the questions that have popped up over the past few months. Click though to the blog post for TONS of news!

There's a famous quote by Charles Dudley Warner, the American editor and author who passed away in 1900, that goes, "Politics makes strange bedfellows." He was probably playing on a line from William Shakespeare's play "The Tempest," where Trinculo says, "Misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows."
Well, when you watch Jackpot! - the exciting new episode airing this Sunday at 7:00pm (7:30 in Newfoundland!!) - you may think of using the words "team-roping" instead of "politics" or "misery" in the above quotes, even though there's both a lot of politics as well as misery at play when everyone gets involved trying to win a team roping competition... Click though to the blog post for the scoop on this episode, plus more pics!

Roughly every seven years Halloween falls on a Sunday and as you know, that's what's happening in 3 days time. So a decision had to be made: do we run the terrific new episode 406 (which is totally awesome, by the way) or... do we hold off on the new episode until next week to allow everyone who wants to go trick or treating this Sunday dressed like a ghost or a zombie or Amy or Caleb (!) to be able to enjoy themselves, without freaking out that they are missing a new episode of Heartland?
So: Halloween won out, and this week CBC will be broadcasting the popular spooky episode from last year, "The Haunting of Hanley Barn." Click though to the blog post for a video message from Amber Marshall, and some stuff about the episode you never knew!

One of the things I really enjoy when I pore over the ever-growing number of comments on the blog and on Facebook is reading what all of you would like to see in upcoming Heartland episodes. I think everyone knows that the series has taken on a deserved life of its own and now that over 50 episodes have been produced it must be clear to everyone that some things in the excellent series of Lauren Brooke novels upon which Heartland is based are not going to materialize in the television series.
After all, who wants to see Ty go into a two year coma??? Not me!!!
Also, if the television series had copied the books exactly as written then Tim would have vanished to Australia and we wouldn't have a Mallory!
And this brings us to this Sunday's episode - the 53rd 1-hour episode in the Heartland saga - Episode 404, entitled "Graduation." Written by Mark Haroun and directed by Dean Bennett, the same writer/director team that gave us "The Haunting of Hanley Barn" last season, "Graduation" is going to make a lot of you pretty happy, based on what you've been asking for! Click though to the blog post for exclusive scoop on the episode, and more photos!

OMG! Wow!! Yikes!!! No, seriously - ouchamagoucha!!! If I had known how much excitement posting that one little ol' photo of Chase (I'm pretty sure that is Chase) and Amy (At least I think it's Amy) would have generated on Monday I would never have done it.
Oh, who am I trying to fool? Of course I love dropping subtle (and sometimes unsubtle) hints, leaks and whatnot about what is coming later in the season and right around the corner THIS SUNDAY, when another new episode - Episode 403 - Road Curves, written by Heather Conkie and directed by Dean Bennett, is broadcast in Canada on the CBC at 7:00pm (7:30pm in Newfoundland). This Sunday the Heartland saga continues with the premiere broadcast of Episode 402 - "What Dreams May Become," written by Ken Craw and directed by Grant Harvey. Some of you will be saying, "It's about time!!!!" and I for one will echo that sentiment. Across the country everyone has been chomping at the bit (nice horse reference, huh?) for this Sunday to arrive and now here it is, just 3 days away!
Before I tell you a bit about the photos I've posted and tell you a tiny bit more about "Homecoming", the premiere episode of Season 4 and the 50th episode overall of Heartland, I want to take a moment to commend a lot of you for your speculation on the 15 second teaser to the season premiere. Some of you have come somewhat close to guessing what is going on, while others have asked some very interesting questions, some of which will indeed be answered. Maybe not this Sunday... but on a Sunday in the very near future. All in all, you've been brilliant as usual and it's a lot of fun reading what you've posted. Now - in just 3 days - we'll see how right (or how wrong) some of you are! Click through to the blog post for some insider information!
