Okay, "ages" may be an exaggeration, but given the chance any Blog Whisperer will always employ alliteration, which is the repetition of usually initial consonant sounds in two or more neighbouring words or syllables, as in Time for Tim, Super Spartan, Jovial Jack... well, you get it. Well, last week I gave you a lot of info that has the discussion boards, the blog and Facebook lit up with speculation, which is exactly what I like (alas - Blog Whisperers are all born with a cruel gene that sadly rears itself every once in a while...)
But for two reasons - the first being because production is on hiatus - I'm not giving away a single hint on the upcoming Season 5 in this week's post.
The second reason is because I want to tell you about something cool happening tomorrow in Calgary. Read on...

Hi everyone! I have a little mid-week treat for you all - last August, Amber Marshall and Shaun Johnston attended the Priddis & Millarville fair in (where else) Millarville, Alberta and competed in the elite "Cow-To-Latte Competition" where they, along with Heartland Executive Producer Michael Weinberg, had to milk a cow and get the resulting milk to an espresso machine to make a delicious latte in the shortest time possible! How did that work out for them, you might wonder... well wonder no longer, just watch the video! (Click through to the Blog Post to watch. It's awesome! )

Okay Toronto (and area) Heartland fans! As you probably know, Amber and Graham are going to be signing autographs at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto this Sunday from 12 - 2. As a LOT of fans show up for these sort of events, the RWF is going to be distributing wristbands in the autograph area (Heritage Court) starting at 9:00AM. What a wristband gives you is a guaranteed autograph - not to say that those in line without wristbands won't get through, but with a wristband you are SURE. So come early!
BUT... I managed to get my hands on 8 of these coveted items in advance, and I'm giving them out on The Heartland Facebook page at http://facebook.com/cbcheartland and the Official Heartland Site at http://cbc.ca/heartland/
What do you have to do to get one? It's easy! All you have to do is prove to me that you REALLY want one! The twist?
WITH A PHOTOGRAPH.
The photo is up to you... use your imagination. Is it you on a horse? You holding Heartland stuff? You holding up a sign? Something even cooler?
SO... If you are on the Heartland site, head over to the Community Forum and click on the brand new shiny Photo Board link http://www.cbc.ca/heartland/community/gallery.html and upload a picture that proves to us that you REEEAAALLLY want a wristband. Make sure you have the word "wristband" in the caption, then come back to the blog and tell me that you entered (by commenting on this post.)
OR... if you prefer, you can upload your photo to the wall of the official Heartland Facebook page at http://facebook.com/cbcheartland Again, make sure you put "wristband" in the caption!
ONE PHOTO PER PERSON ONLY!
We will randomly select winners from both the Blog and the Facebook page and let them know by Friday night.
Remember, this is for wristbands only - admission to the fair is still up to you.
Ready... set... GO!!!!
***UPDATE: The Wristband giveaway contest is now closed. We will be drawing names this evening and letting people know by email.
Remember, the rest of the wristbands will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Royal Winter Fair near the autograph signing area, beginning at 9AM! So come early!

Yes, same graphic I know, but now with added information!
Autograph signing details:
The Date: Sunday November 7, 2010
The Time: 12:00PM - 2:00PM
The Location: Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Heritage Court Building in the Direct Energy Centre (100 Princess Blvd.)
Upon arrival fans can head to the main entrance of the Heritage Court Building to the Toronto Star Autograph area.
Every year a LOT of people show up to meet Amber and Graham, so in order to help avoid disappointment, we're doing something a little different this time around. We will be distributing wristbands to the first 200 people that show up. These wristbands guarantee you a place in line, an autograph, etc.
To be clear: if you don't get a wristband, it doesn't mean that you won't get an autograph, it's just that wristband-holders are guaranteed an autograph.
Other Notes:
-While we will try to accommodate everyone, wristbands will be limited to 200 fans
-Fans can get wristbands by visiting the Heritage Court main entrance starting at 9AM on Sunday November 7th. These will be handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis.
-I managed to get my hands on TEN wristbands, so I will be giving them out here on the blog and on the Official Facebook page starting tomorrow! So make sure you check back!
** Last little bit of information: some fans may be under the impression that the following weekend Amber will be signing autographs on November 14th after the Woof and Hoof event she is co-hosting at the RAWF. This is not the case. She will ONLY be signing autographs during the allotted time on Sunday November 7th.
And just for fun, here's a short video of the recent Heartland Cast signing at the Spruce Meadows Masters this past September. Click though to the blog post to watch it!

Heartland fan KMA88 just sent these in some pics of Amber at the Calgary Stampede parade, along with this note:
"The parade was fantastic! I had to walk 12 blocks to find Amber and even walked past her once. How did that happen? Amber did a terrific job. I was able to chat with her after the parade. She's a total sweetheart! Goldie, the horse, was pooped by the end of it though!"

Last Friday the parade for the Calgary Stampede kicked off bright and early on a hot sun soaked day and the national television coverage was provided by the CBC. After chatting with co-hosts Nirmala Naidoo, Kristina Barnes and Doug Dirks, Amber saddled up on "Goldie," a gentle palomino, and together they rode up and down the 9th Avenue parade route, interviewing celebrities and guests of the Stampede who were riding in the parade. [UPDATE: That's all folks! Comments are now closed. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions, and I'll let you know when Amber makes her choice!]
Well, now that Season 3 has ended, Amber has some housekeeping to do before she and the rest of the cast return to the ranch set in May to begin filming the first of 18 new fourth season episodes of Heartland. Season 4 will begin airing in Canada on the CBC in late September or early October. The date has yet to be determined, but when I say "in the fall" some of you reading this are uncertain when that is, so I'm giving you approximate dates. And of course the 2-hour Christmas movie that was recently shot is now being edited and will be broadcast in December. But I digress... Click through for the REAL reason for this post!!

Well - as expected - we were kinda overwhelmed with the questions sent in for Amber to answer, but because she's awesome, she's going to answer twice as many! Since she's hard at work every day on the Heartland Christmas movie I didn't want to take up ALL of her spare time over the weekend, so the questions have been broken up into two batches, the second of which will be posted next week.
As for the first batch... here they be!!! Read away and enjoy!!!

Amber Marshall talked to the London Free Press about season two, fans and Facebook:
Marshall said from her London home that the show resonates with viewers because it is so true to life and there is no other family drama like Heartland currently on TV.Read More »"I know so many of the fans love the show as far as it being so wholesome. The problem with a lot of TV shows now is the story lines are almost unrealistic."
Marshall has heard that CBC wants 18 episodes this time, five more than the season which just ended.
In preparation for filming, which starts in May, the 19-year-old has been doing a lot of horseback riding as her character handles horses a lot in Heartland. (On Heartland's website, each horse has a character description.)
"I've been riding quite frequently and training my mom's two-year-old (horse). (I'm) getting back in shape for riding all summer."
Right now she's enjoying communicating with her viewers through a facebook fan account she stared. Marshall said every day she gets about 40 messages.
"I get questions about my personal life in general. I like them to get the information directly from me instead of all sorts of different (rumours) starting and not knowing what's true."
She said unfortunately that kind of fan interaction will come to an end soon when she starts work on season two.
Marshall will likely be filming right through to December. "I'm going to have too much of a working schedule to maintain that (the Facebook site)."
Marshall said her fans range from eight-year-old children right up to seniors.
"It's such a huge range because we've got so much to offer for every age group. We've got the different story lines that everyone can relate to." Link

Well, the reviews are in, and they are good. Heartland debuted last week to an eager audience, and we've had tons of comments saying the show was great. We're glad you like it.
This week's episode explored the idea of 'second chances.' Ty getting a second chance with Jack, Amy getting a second chance with Swallow and Lou getting a second chance at proving she's able to run the ranch. We also saw Soraya, who urged Amy to give show jumping a... you guessed it, second chance.
So, with all this talk about second chances, we're asking this: Which character do you believe most deserves a second chance, and why? You can post your answers in the comment section for all to see.
What did everyone think of Jenn Grant's song? Great eh? Just goes to show that there are amazing Canadian musicians everywhere, waiting to be heard, and it's great that Heartland is featuring them. We're going to be posting more in coming weeks so stay tuned.
Later this week, due to overwhelming popular demand, we're posting some videos taken behind the scenes. We have hours of footage, and we're going through to pick the best stuff to post here. Does anyone have any requests?
Here's a link to an interview Amber Marshall (Amy Fleming) did with Jam!Showbiz: http://jam.canoe.ca/Television/ Be sure to check back later in the week to see the videos we're posting. You never know who is going to turn up!
