Time keeps on ticking away, doesn't it?
Although we can't officially start the countdown to when Heartland's Season 6 premiere airs, I can tell you that the first two episodes have now been filmed, and director Steve Scaini is now working with editor Ken Filewych to get the episodes closer to completion so they can be brought to you in a little over three months time. Read on!
I still don't have the exact date when CBC is going to start season 6, but it's looking more and more like it will be in late September, and that means there is only one thing between now and then - SUMMER! And that's not a bad obstacle to have, is it?
You all seem to be enjoying the Monday time killers and I have a pile of new and different puzzles and fun stuff to be presented for you to tackle every Monday over the next three months. And I note that many of you thought this last one was too easy. Well I can fix that! :)
And for true Heartland fans there is another great time killer, and that is when a repeat performance of an episode is aired Sunday evenings on CBC. Now that we know there are only a maximum of three more hockey games to this NHL season, I can confirm that Heartland will not preempted for a hockey game for a long time, so then why not have a rerun in three days time?
That's exactly what is going to happen, and this time it is going to be an episode from Season 5. Episode 507 - "Over the Rise" will be shown across Canada at 7:00pm (7:30pm in Newfoundland!) and instead of rehashing old material, I'll instead link you to the blog post from Thursday, November 10, which went into detail on that episode and had six photos from it!
The photo at the top of this post is also from that episode: the one where Tim takes his three kids on an overnight trail ride where something --as it always seems to with Tim-- goes awry.
The following four photos are from that episode as well and show Caleb training to be a bull rider. I posted them on Facebook back in November but thought I'd put them up here for those of you who have not yet seen 'em.
Next week I will have some details about a cast appearance in High River on Saturday June 16, as the Alberta town that plays Hudson in Heartland celebrates its connection to the series.
And of course there will be more news, information and hints every day from set for those of you who are following production on Twitter - and it's not posted anywhere else, so if you aren't following Heartland on Twitter, head on over!
We're less than two weeks from the start of summer, which officially begins on June 20, and I for one can't wait! In the meanwhile and all through this upcoming summer I'll try to ease the burden of waiting for Heartland with these Thursday and Monday posts. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you can tune into CBC Television on Sunday and also enjoy the repeat broadcast of "Over the Rise."

I sure do hope Heartland is going to start up soon...I miss it on Sunday nights...and it is the BEST Show on TV.....a very good family show and there is not many of them on any more ....so please keep the best show on!!!!!!!

Been there, done that... the barrel riding that is but now that I have lost my legs it's only a memory of days gone by. But I am going to start horseback riding again and Heartland is my motivator to do so. More episodes of diabled guys or gals would be cool. And more episodes with Lisa would be cool too.

Totally love Heartland. Don't get it here in Florida, but I first found it on Netflix, then became a fan. Just a small comparison. When you have watched Heartland on Netflix, they suggest the U.S. TV show "Wildfire." Just to be able to make a fair comparison I watched all the episodes of Wildfire. They had some very good American actors (some in minor roles like Amanda Seyfried), but there is no comparison. Wildfire lacks the moral strength demonstrated in the Heartland characters, especially the main female characters. It's main characters all display a moral decrepitude that seems totally acceptable to American viewers today. While I could recommend Heartland with the highest rating possible, I would have to say that I "hated" Wildfire. Go Heartland...I can't wait for another season! I wish American TV would pick you up.

Thankyou for the music download "The Bridge". I like it. Shaun is a pretty good singer. Amber sounds pretty good with him. I think, if they were willing and able to put the time in they could achieve a degree of excellence, but with the other things they do and the demands on their time, it wouldn't be easy. I just say that they could really do it if they ever have the time.

OMG, I just have to say, I had never even heard of Heartland until a month ago and it was a fluke to even run across it or should I say fate.
I also, have to say I have never commented on a blog before.
What a great show. I have 3 family ranches and we have so much in common with Heartland. I wish we could see it here in the States.
Everyone has done such a great job.. it looks like tons of work but you can tell everyone enjoys it.
I had the opportunity to watch all 5 seasons in a row and I am so hooked. It is so refreshing to have a country family tv series, with good values instead of all the reality shows, and all the cop shows.
I love every character and their stories. One request... Just let Ty and Amy progress together but also as individuals, please. Enough breakups. It's exausting as a fan..lol And many thanks for leaving us hanging regarding the engagement. lol.

It would be so wonderful to have the opportunity to download all the seasons of Heartland from Itunes in the US. Just season 1 & 2 are available on itunes in the US and just season 1 on amazon. All five are available in Canada itunes. I had no idea there were separate itunes in different countries. But that would make sense.

Thanks....that was a sigh of relief. Every Sunday i'm like is a NEW episode of Heartland on!! and every sunday it isn't. I am sooo glad Heartland is returning..i'll be busy the summer with no time to watch ANY tv so the producers r doing me a favor by waiting till September to start Heartland.

Hey i have been trying to find out when season 5 comes out on DVD in the U.S.? My mom and me love this show and are lost without! We live close to Canada in Michigan but cant get CBC and GMC only shows old episodes! Ive been getting the DVDs from our library so Im sure they will get season 5 once it comes out(they already have seasons 1-4). Would really like to know, thanks!

I found Heartland by accident and what a wonderful accident it was. I was recording all the shows on GMC here in the states but wanted more so I bought the first 4 seasons. I am so addicted... and now I have 3 more friends addicted as well. But I'm a little bit afraid of what will happen to me when i get to the end of Season 4 !! :) Is season 5 on DVD? I haven't found it.
I hope this show never ends. I have my own horses and I love everything about this show. It's superb!

Why is Heartland no longer broadcast in the U.S.? My local TV station that carried it,WKYT,Channel 27 carries the CW Network which carried Heartland.I talked to the VP for programming,she told me it was Genisis TV that was causing the problem.They had decided to put the show on "hiatus".Not real smart of them.A lot of US dollars will be lost the longer the show is off.When it does return to the US(If ever)the audience may be gone,moved on to other programs.Genisis TV might just be headed to US Bankruptcy Court!
