Hey Heartland Fans! It's time for the Monday Time Killer, so adjust your thinking caps and read on...
Last year I posted a whole bunch of different things on Mondays, like the word ladder below, which turned out to be popular with many of you. So why not do it again?
I have some incredibly difficult puzzles and other fun stuff lined up between now and September, but for this first one let's keep it simple. I know for some of you this'll be the first puzzle of its kind you may have encountered, so it's gonna be easy (this time!!)
How a word ladder works is simple: Figure out what word fits in to the space to the left from any of the clues and fill in all the words until you have completed the puzzle.
The word immediately above or below will only have 1 letter changed, and the letters are not rearranged or scrambled (this time!!)
For example, if the clue was "an eating utensil: knife, spoon and _______ ," the answer would be FORK. Then if the clue for the next word was "Chops you get from a pig, you would replace the 'F' with a 'P' and the correct answer would be PORK. One letter will change in forming a new word as you work your way up (or down) the list. Do that for all the words and you'll finish the puzzle.
Today's puzzle is called NO "T" FOR YOU! So named because although the letters you need to solve it are exclusively letters found in the word HEARTLAND, there is not one T to be found in the answers. In some cases there are multiples of the other letters, but no Ts. All words have four letters.
What you do when you detect a noise.
What sits squarely on your shoulders.

Have fun, and post a comment below telling everyone how long it took you!

It took about 5 minutes to get 80% of these words; then another 10 minutes to get the last 3 that I was stuck on. Oh well, now I feel like I almost did a Reader's Digest puzzle or vocabulary quiz.

hiya all!
I'm a huge fan but DEAF fan of the heartland show, I am wondering if there is a possibility of getting a DEAF horse on the show that indicates a great understanding and how length of understanding a DEAF horse in a communicating through other means which requires a sign language since a DEAF horse cannot hear. It would be truly appreciated if a Deaf horse on the show would indicate a lot of viewers to understand how it works and prepare in case of animals may go on DEAF or disabilities. Especially Deaf actors will help to teach sign language on the show too, A communication through Deaf horse and a Deaf character and leading character will be in a lot of depth of understanding better how to act. For example- Switched at Birth Show also show an indication of two worlds-Deaf and hearing culture out there. I'm Deaf and will be disappointed to see if there is no Deaf horse or Deaf characters in the show to succeed once for a lifetime!
