oommmmggg, I'm so excited!!!!

I can't believe it's already only three days away. Not that I'm complaining, but where did summer go? I am so excited to finally see the season 4 premiere that we've all waited so long to see!!

Oh my, SO excited!

Are the episodes going to appear on-line as well? I sure hope so, I had to get rid of some 'luxuries' while attending school and cable was one of them! eek

Blair? I was wondering if i'd heard right in the trailer. I've never heard the name Blair before (Except for the 'Blair Witch Project' Hmm... i wonder if the writers at HL have seen that movie. Its worth thinking about). Especially not for a girl. I was wondering if Jack said Claire but i guess not. And of course Blair doesn't mean she's very competitive with racing horses. She's clearly competitive in all aspects. Including, i'm betting, competing for boyfriends. She looks like she's going to be one of those annoyingly pretty, charming smart girls who always get what they want. Damn! Amy better watch out! :D

As for me, I'll have to wait until at least Monday morning to watch this... Because when it's 7 PM in Canada, here in France it's 1 AM ! Consider yourselves lucky, canadian people, to be able to watch it the moment it airs ! lol

This Blair girl looks like she is going to be a problem. She reminds me of Kerry-ann. Ty's last "friend" from the group home. I've said this before, but I think that she is from the group home he stayed at. She got out after him and they met up somewhere. She seems like the jelaous type.

I have WAITED ALL summer and I can't hold on until Monday!!!!Heartland is like oxgen to me. I do not answer the phone nor talk while it is on. Only when the commercials are on. I am very, very happy that the series is such a hit. I hope it doesn't fizzle out like Riverdale!! I can still see the last episode of Riverdale where the leading lady landed in the pool face down. She has been in my mind's eye lo these many years. I also want to thank all the behind the scenes people who do everything from sewing the custumes and dig out the stalls for the real horses and those who cook the meals so everyone can sit down both in the scene and those not in the scenes. You are the unsung heros of this series. Hurry up Sunday!! I love Heartland b/c it is so Canadian and it has just the right amount of suspense, laughter, family disagrements, joy, sorrow, Indian tradions, circumstances that happen in life. Please bring Lou and her husband back for at least cameo appearannces or weave them into a story line. e.g. newly weds adjusting to each other and the new country. Love to allXXXXXXXXXX

BW I was just looking at the Heartland calendar, and there is an episode (I can't remember which one) airing on October 31st, which, of course, is Halloween. Is that correct? The only reason why I'm asking is because I know quite a few people will be trick o' treating (I know I won't be, that's for sure!), so not that many people would watch it that night. Thanks!

Here in France, season 2 only started a few weeks ago... And even if I could watch CBC from here, 7 PM in Canada means 1:00 in the morning in France^^ My parents would kill me if I watched TV that late.
Also, translation from English to French isn't really good... so I rather watch it in English^^

In the interest of continuity, when Ty's truck is supposed to be off getting repaired, it shows up in the background of Heartland--in the scene where Amy runs out of the house after Ty. When Blair comes out, it is switched to Jack's old red truck. (My husband notices vehicles.)

So i have just watched heartland premier and i dont know what to think.
part of me loved it and part of me is sad...i think ty should have told amy bout what happened with blair. she is bound to find out and then thats going to cause more problems.
and the other thing is i dont like how ty kissed her back...yes they stopped and he said no but he still kissed her andi dont like him for that.
Oh and chase powers didnt come back yet which i know he will eventually and cause problems of course whichh i DO NOT LIKE!

I dont know why but i dont thik lou and peter are going to last if he keeps going on these trips. i felt so bad shes always alone! :(

OMG! That episode was incredible! Hate Blair, obviously, but it was so good. Heartland remains to be one of the three shows that can make me cry, laugh, and scream at the TV in one episode. I'm so glad that Heartland is back! It was a long and winding road down a dark path of Heartland withdrawal, but it was totally worth it. When Ty says 'This is me, coming home. To you.' I felt like I was coming home for the first time in a long time.

Just watched the episode and it was great. It was nice to see a bit of realistic references to Ty getting into a prevet program. As a vet I was dismayed last year with the references of Ty getting into vet school directly from completing his high school. I hope this realistic slant continues as I hope to see alot more vet related episodes. If need any research help I am sure there are lots of vets willing to consult. Need another country vet to come on to give Scott a new love interest( Women make up the majority of the students in most vet schools in Canada). Keep up the good work. I am a great fan.

this show has a good story line but very inaccurate regarding horse handling, horse behaviour, and especially the horse knickering every 10 seconds--this is not real--also a true horse whisperer (which I am in life myself)--would never use a web halter and lead to train--
nore lead a horse at the throat--some of the horse accidents just do not happen in the maner portrayed on a real ranch--natural horsemanship horse trainers and ranch folk get a squeemish stomach at the non real antics of the horse handling and riding==acting is great--story is entertaining--I watch the show but the level of accuracy bugs the heck out of me--would be glad to demonstrate to writers or producers any time on what real horsemanship on the ground to tame a horse at liberty and gain respect-- and what balanced riding is all about--also real ranch riders do not push their horses forward with their body nor use their heels to kick--horses need subttle leg pressure-- and a well trained horse needs only a change of weight in the seat with no leg pressure--this show needs to alter some of the ways the horses are portrayed to keep any horse people audience captive which numbers in the 10's of thousands---maybe they can fool non horse people but realism is needed soon

Everyone has their own way of working with horses and methods to training. You may not use some of the methods seen on Heartland but I myself see many things I have used in my training experiences. It is important to be open minded when working with horses as they are like people and no two are the same.

As far as lunging/training from the "throat", I personally use a similar method (usually includes a burlap bag and rope) but working closer to the centre of the horse can eliminate crossfiring which can cause serious damage to tendons and such. This also gives more control of the body signifying yourself as the "alpha" to the horse in training. I had a mare who would NOT lunge in the traditional fashion. She would drag a 250lb man across the dirt without straining a muscle. This method was the only one that worked and now I swear by it. I'm not sure if you noticed but Spartan isn't exactly a ranch horse so I wouldn't expect him to be ridden in such a way. The show is set on a ranch but the riding extends beyond ranch work. Having been to many shows/races the riding fits with any riding I have seen at various levels of competition. I agree with subtle leg pressure , unfortunately the vast majority of riders use constant pressure and lots of heel.

I don't think it is fair to say there is only one way to work/train/ride a horse since there are many, MANY ways to do so. And who can really say one is better then the other. People use what works for them. And while I don’t agree with all the methods out there, they are out there none-the-less. Will Heartland get everything perfect all the time? No probly not. But neither will I and I am sure neither will you. So while you may not see realism, I do and I have been around horses for about 20 years.

omg the season 4 preamier was amazing i couldn't take my eyes off of the tv. i am so happy that ty dosn't have to leave. i wonder when lou is going to go back to dubi. omg i met the cast of heartland at spruce meadows i was speachless.

So... Ty's truck breaks down after a 3 month trip, not a surprise. But the girl in his truck... "Who is that?!" everybody thinks, well her name's Blaire, and she's the fourth jealousy issue in the Heartland series. That says something eh? It goes Ashley, Kerri Ann, Kit, and Blaire. Do we have enough jealousy issues yet?! Maybe time for some new catches in the series? Hmm?

Now Ty rides in and bursts Amy's bubble with his passenger, a girl (who fits in with the rest of the characters for reasons that are accurate and I'm sure I've mentioned more than a few times). Who has an on and off english accent? It was there for one word and then gone the next, what? First of all, WHAT are you thinking Ty? I nominate you for Worst TV Boyfriend of 2010! Lets bring in some chick you JUST MET back HOME to your girlfriend (that you haven't seen for 3 months) and act like everything is cool? No. A donkey would have more common sense! It's stupid of him to begin with, I mean he just MET these people and he's bringing them back. They could be criminals or something, playing him like a guitar! Moving on... Amy's distant because of Blaire's presence, it seems she's everywhere! On the couch, in the barn, at the table during dinner! Oh no! What will poor Amy do? Oh I know, act all haughty and be mad and stalk out of the room and be rude as usual, what's changed?

Now Amy's working with an ugly Arabian named Simco. Owned by...(drumroll please) Chase Powers! So he kicked Jack in the ribs, yeah...so he escapes with a few bruises? Right, I could go into a long personal story about how that wouldn't happen in real life but I won't bother. I can't believe the NERVE of Ty, "he kicked Jack, put him in a trailer and take him back" horses have bit, trampled, and thrown Amy but all of a sudden Chase Powers' horse kicks Jack and it's time to send Simco back? Ty can bring a GIRL home and Amy can't work with a jealous issue's horse? OH! When he confronted her about Chase being on the tour, I was expecting a dry comment like "Yeah, but I promise you, there's nothing going on". Come on Amy! Throw his words back in his face!

Mhmm ... yeah...boring... just flipping through the rest of the episode, the Caleb and Ashley thing isn't that interesting, I'm just glad they got some real teen drama in Heartland! Lou comes back because things can't possibly change. Then Amy falls in competition...no surprise... then Blaire kisses Ty and says she thinks she's falling in love with him. Now, THIS could evolve into something interesting. Like she becomes a crazy, obsessive, stalker person towards Ty. Yes...that sounds awesome.

Next Episode: Something about Lou and Scott and polo and drugging horses.
