So there you have it... Season Two: 18 episodes to stand beside the 13 episodes of Season One.
We truly hope you enjoyed watching Heartland as much as we enjoyed making it.
A few items that people have been asking about and that we want to make sure you are aware of. Click though!
1) The above photo was taken outside the interior set of the ranch house in Calgary. It was shot on the last day of filming in December, 2008. Most of the cast and crew are in the photo and we know if you are not familiar with the filmmaking process you might think "OMG, what a lot of people!" Every smiling face belongs to someone whose expertise and talent went a long way to making Heartland what it is. So from the producers, the directors, the writers, the cast, the crew, the production office staff, the editors and the post-production staff, the musicians, the wranglers, the people at CBC and everyone else who worked from May through February to ensure each hour of Heartland was as good as it could be - a huge THANK YOU! from all of us - for watching, for telling your friends and for being a fan.
2) We've posted this before, but we will post it again - yes indeed, there IS going to be a Season Three, airing Fall 2009. It will begin filming in Calgary in May. The writers are already coming up with storylines that will make for a great fall and winter of Sunday night viewing.
3) Season One and Season Two will be available separately on DVD later in the year. Keep watching this blog for details!
4) Heartland is now an international sensation. We have to type quickly, because the list is growing all the time, but here is an update on the confirmed international broadcasters and - where we know them - the potential air dates for Season One of Heartland.
FRANCE - broadcast on Canal+ Family, with a DVD release in May 2009
ITALY - broadcast on RAI beginning in May 2009
GERMANY began broadcasting on Passion (Pay TV) in February 2009
Also in GERMANY - VOX will start airing episodes in the Spring of 2010
AUSTRIA - broadcast on ORF, beginning in May 2009
DENMARK - to be broadcast on TV2
SWEDEN - to be broadcast on Channel 5
NORWAY - to be broadcast on SBS
FINLAND - to be broadcast on SBS in July, 2009

I like it that it also comes in The Netherlands. It's a great program. I am 12 jear and live in The Netherlands. I look the program always on thuesday afterI downloaded it. If it comes on sbs6 i can also see it with subtitle, Not that i dot understand it in English, but it is a little bit easier.
I cantwait!!!!!!! At 20:00 im going to downlod it .

WOW! That was an amazing episode. We can't beleive it's over. That was a fast season. To all the actors and crew thank you for keeping us entertained every Sunday. This show is one of a kind. I loved the finale! I'm so happy it's coming to DVD. It's also cool that it's going international. I live in Ontario so it doesn't mean much to me. But the international people are only starting season 1. HA! SUCKERS! I thought they started filming in the summer. Guess not. Well, anyway, you all did and AMAZING job! Omg. I am overly extatic. There's a season 3! I was so worried that there wouldn't be. I would have cried in a corner for a very long time. Anyway, I loved the finale. I didn't expect the part where Caleb came back and Ashley... literally.... threw him out... huh. I sorta couldn't stop laughing. I was thinking of the part where Amy and Ty make up alll day long. It's too bad that we have to wait for seasong three but it can't be done over night. awww.

WOW! That was amazing. I can't believe that Amy and Ty are finally together. I have been waiting for that one for a long time. (haha) I have to say this is the best show ever and also the only show I watch. I don't watch telivision, this seriously the only show I watch. It is great.
A great BIG thank-you to everyone who put their hard work and talent into making this amazing series. You all ROCK, thank you. I love the books and I love the show just as much, I have to say I think I have watched season one about 6 times now and season two twice now. I am putting money aside special for when season one and two come out on DVD. As for season three I am just counting down the days till fall. Yes season three!
I know this sounds sorta sappy (okay really sappy) but having the books to read and the show to watch it kinda helps me keep my dreams alive of one day owning my own place with horses where I can hopefuly one day have a therapudic riding stable. Ever since I was tiny I have loved horses but I never started riding till begining of 2008 and I am now 21 so it may be harder because I myself am still learning to ride and jump but one day I want to open that stable. I know it sounds wierd but it is true. So once again THANK YOU to every one who helped and participated in creating this world of dreams, friends, family and horses.

Wow great show!! It's great to see Amy and Ty back together. If they didn't get back together by the end of the show I probably would of had a nervous break down. But I didn't think Caleb would be back so soon....well I guess it's to keep his fans happy. Next season he better keep away from Amy and just stick to Ashley. Hopefully Kit finds someone that will really like her because she's a pretty nice girl. Lou and (the oil guy) look happy together but everybody knows Scott is the man. As my conclusion for the last show of the season........HEARTLAND ROCKS CAN'T FOR SEASON THREE!!!!!!!!

Hey! You guys did a fantastic job with Heartland. I love the show. It's so refreshing; it's wholesome and lively...and I love that it's CANADIAN! All of you actors are amazing and you each bring a unique element to the show, which makes it that much better. I love the humour and the drama and the horses!! It's nice to see a GOOD show that really brings out the beauty and wonder of horses and people's relationship with them. Great, great job, everyone!! I am really looking forward to Season 3!!
PS: Great idea having the episodes for viewing online - sometimes I miss an episode Sunday night and it's cool to be able to go online to see them. And awesome music too!! Great to see you guys are using Canadian artists!!!

I want you to know that it's not only young people who watch Heartland, but lots of over 50's, people who ride for pleasure, or who have lived in the country, had horses, but had to give them up because of having to work in the big cities, and can,with Heartland, re-live their love of riding, their love of nature and especially the foothills, (And their love of Canada, and CBC productions !) You're all doing such a good job, and we're very proud of you, especially the way you all seem pretty relaxed, even with the sometimes difficult job of getting the animals to play their parts. And the way you manage to work in wisdom and excellent values for all of us, whatever age. We loved the episode with the native healer probably the most, it was transformative for the plot and for the audience. Beautifully done, who was the healer? As was the last episode, (season 2), although we could have sent you a lot more snow (from Edmonton), for the hungry horse scenes. The young actors are all excellent: Lou's role is the most difficult, Amy's riding is amazing and she's perfect for the part in every way, ditto for Ty and Caleb and Ashley, and of course Jack is a major draw. And we love Mallory to bits, she's hilarious, and we hope she continues to stay young and bratty. Very good writers, it often looks like ad-libbing, the dialogue is so comfortable. Please keep the emphasis on the horses, more Sugarfoot!, other animals, rescuing, and ecological issues for the youth of today, and you can't lose. Beautiful scenery, and beautiful theme song. A friend said to me all she has to do is watch the opening sequence (music and credits), to feel transformed. So thanks for it all!

A clue: I'm awesomely amazingly happy. Why? It's called special features, special features, special features!! That would provide enough food for The Bear to hibernate until the coming of spring (aka, October, aka, return of Heartland). And, being able to watch the episodes on a nice big TV without having to fastfoward commercials? ....priceless.

Ty and Amy... together? Impossible, right?
Well, it happened!
Secondly, I have this feeling that Caleb wanted to tell Ashley that he realized... something about them... wanted to tell her... *sigh* how romantic!
Waaaiiit --- REWIND! Ashley kicks Caleb out of his own trailer, throws his stuff at him, and... well, closes the door. Maybe locks it. :s
Was I the only one to realize that when Ty was sick, he looked allot like he did in Season 1...? You know, the parted hair-delinquent-Ty Borden look!
Anyways, THANK YOU Heartland for not leaving us at a cliffhanger. That would suck. :(

First- love the picture, who knew so many ppl were involved in making Heartland..?
Second- episode 217 was great!! I love how Ty and Amy got together, and said that they loved eachother. I was waiting for that forever. I never really liked Kit (or however you spell her name) I always thought Ty and Amy were good together. I'm glad that Jack didnt go to hard on Peter. He doesnt seem to bad, except for the whole oil part, but Lou and him are good together. Ohhh, and almost forgot... Ghost and his little family! SO CUTE! Loved it.
I cant wait to see the finale for season 2, already know its going to be goood. :)
I AM SO GETTING THE DVDS!!! I live in Canada, but i know some ppl who live in the US, who just love this show. Maybe they can still buy the DVD's.

Only one thing,Could you make Amy character a bit happier in season 3.She was very grumpy and overly serious this season; She was always snapping at Ty and wining to Jack.Don't get me wrong I love her character and the passion for life and horses she so well portrays but I missed the fun loving, happy Amy we had in season 1.

Loved the last couple episodes. How everything came together. I love the horses but also the family connections in the show. The relationship between Amy and Ty is the big draw but I would like to see more of the relationships between Jack and Mallory(seeing as he has really taken her in as part of the family)Scott would be great to see again. And of course Jack and Lisa(what ever happened to that?) Everyone seems to be paired off right now so I guess it is time see what happens with Mallory now that she is the next in line.

This is a really great series! I'm a horse nut, and I also love the fact that it's based in good values and situations that many can relate to.
It's also not an over-sensationalized, overdone 'reality' show. :)
The cast is also wonderful. I'm very proud of this Canadian show, and how well it's doing around the world.
Keep up the great work, and I'll be looking forward to tuning in on Season 3. :)

Yeahh, I get that feeling all the time. I've been riding for about 4 or 5 years now... and it is so much fun!! For those of you who have not rode before.... i suggest you try it! It is so much fun! Especially when you get into the higher levels and you can canter and get close to a gallop... i haven't been able to gallop yett... but i have cantered.. and its so much fun! I want my own horse, but i dont think it will happen anytime sooon :( but... yeahhh.... if you have't tried riding.. you should.. i think if you like Heartland, you will like riding too. :)
P.S. I CANT WAIT FOR SEASON 3!!!!!

OMG! I can't believe Amy and Ty got back together I thought that they were going to leave us in suspense!
Anyways when Amy told Ty that she loved him (Just about cried by the way) I started jumping all over the place! I phoned my grandpa to tell him because we had a bet. My grandpa thought that Amy and Caleb would get together(Yuck!) and I thought that Amy and Ty would get together. So I phoned him and I was seriously hiperventilating as I talked! I told my grandpa that he owed me $5!
I love Heartland it is my favourite show EVER! I got all my friends hooked on it!(including my mom) so I have watched the show 5 times or more.
I do think that Amy and Ty do so belong together! I mean if they didn't I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. So surprised at how Ashley treated Caleb when he got back! I laughed so hard at that because its his house!(LOL) I wonder whats going to happen with Kit she wasn't on the season finale?
Then again the main part was at the cabin so I guess she wouldn't be there. But I haven't seen Lisa for a few episodes now. Did her and Jack break up?
Anyways that's all I have to say so keep making the shows as good as they are now!

Man, I just found this site in my panic to find out from CBC if Heartland is part of their cutbacks. I'm so happy to find this site & I haven't slept for 2 days just watching Season 1 & 2 all over again & again - absolutely first class job from all involved with Heartland. I love this show and I love how it is Canadian made. It is better than most US TV shows. It is even better then the books. I love how Heartland does such a great job showing life in Alberta right down to the battle between landowners and oil and gas. I hope I have many more seasons to look forward to. Thank-you for making such an awesome show.

Ahhh, this season was very epic and full of suspense. i either heard, or read that there heartland was going to be renewed for a third season before this was posted, but it is still great to hear either way! i am looking forward to watching the new season, and i will buy the season for my ipod. oh, and i have seen all of the books that heartland is based on, but... is the third season going to be made up completely? after 31 episodes, i think all the books are done... right?

Thank you once more for 18 (+reruns) wonderful Sunday evenings. I grew up in Alberta, but my own family is all about Ontario. They have come to love this show as much as I do, and watch it with me every Sunday night.
My daughters are the same age as Graham and Amber and rather admire them as young Canadian actors who are making a difference on a very important show. The ecological themes, stories about effort, accomplishment, and of course, honesty in relationships are relevant for fans of any age.
Thanks for letting Ty get his high school diploma and talk about the choices he has now. Now it's his own decision to depend on Jack and Amy and Heartland. That's a really important message for young people.
I hope to see more of Soraya next year. I missed her this season. Will something good happen for her? And Mallory seems to be left alone so much...what's going to happen to her? Scott? Lisa? Callie? We need to know!
one question...where is the music from the last episode? I do love the Heartland playlist! Please post soon!

You all did a great job on the show - followed the story line so well.
The Actors did GREAT jobs, everyone totally suited their characters.
Only thing I wish could have been different is if Lou were blonde, oh well.
Just...amazing, you gave me something to look forward to on Sunday nights.
I can't wait for Season 3! I will definately be buying the first two seasons.
Oh, and I also think it's really cool that we can watch the episodes online, in good quality-for free!

This is a great series......very well written and directed. I would like to ask tho if there will be more of Mallory in season three, it's fun to see her growing up on the ranch and dealing with tween and teen stuff like boys etc......
keep the show going for as long as you can, whether CBC likes it or not....

Gram and Amber youre Great at acting, As is everyone else I think Heartland is the best show i read all the books when i was in middle school and everytihng..lol I was freeking out when i saw season finial i was like ahh there has to be a second season because i love this show my friends all think im nutts i dont say a word when im watching the show they love it...Ha Well Im Glad theres going to be season three and looking forward to see what Amy and Ty end up doing. It's been a little more than a month without my favourite show. Stanley Cup play-offs are good,but not as good as Heartland!

i really like this show alot. it has hart .alot of shows now dont have half the hart this show has. its A great show i hope it will last at least up 2 season 6 or 7. cross my fingers in hope. this is my faveorite show right now. my old faveorite was everwood and that was cut short. keep this show around for along time. i am from i was born in that are of calgary and its cool its made in my home city area all the people in it are great cant wait for season 3 and much more too come.
