Episode 18 - Sunday March 22

Episode 218

This Sunday on an all-new Heartland: THE SEASON FINALE!

This Sunday, March 22 on the thirty-first (and counting) episode of Heartland - a lot happens when Amy and Ty go to help a herd of wild horses starving in the mountains not far from Jack's fishing cabin. Click through for pics and more!

Winter in the Rockies can be breathtakingly beautiful, but it can also be harsh and unforgiving, as Amy and Ty soon discover.

There are other discoveries also, involving not only Amy and Ty, but Lou and Peter, and Jack and Tim. And there is still more you might not have thought would turn up in this exciting episode, entitled "Step by Step."

It has been a wild ride filming these first two seasons of Heartland, and this Sunday we proudly present the season finale to the second season. We hope you enjoy it, and as always please come back to our blog and post your comments, telling us what you thought of the show.

Here are a few photos from "Step by Step," just enough to not give too much away.

Looks really really good. In pic #3 where Ty and Amy are standing beside each other they look really you would thing because they are together but it is because they are looking at the horses. In pic #5 i wonder what jack and Ty are talking about, i will find out on the 22 of March. And in last pic where Ty and Amy are on the couch talking i wonder what it is about. Also Jake is there finally i was starting to miss him. wonder what Mallory will think she might be happy or surprised but i think she might be happy and hug him. But i also want to know what he is saying to Ty and Amy. hhhhmmmm

(=Well can't wait for this episode. you guys are doing a awesome job keep it up i hope season 3 is as good as the last two season's Victoria=)

Oh my god!!! Looks sooo exiting!!!!! I can't wait! Wonder what will happen when "Ty and Amy soon discover how harsh and unforgiving the winter in the Rockies might be!" I bet there's a snow storm and they get stuck up there in Jacks cabin and then they will have to deal with their feelings for each other! Oh my gosh!!!! I can't wait till Sunday night at 7:00! Nice to see the "Little cowboy" Back down at the last picture...but it looks like he came in at the wrong time to interupped something going on beetween Amy and Ty! Who are nicely seated closely next to each other on the coutch! How cute! And I can't wait to see what happens between Lou and Peter and Jack and Tim. No offense to Peter or enything...but he's not really Lou's type....I like her and Scott soo much better! And "discovery's" to happen between Jack and Tim...oh oh.....wonder what's on those two's minds now! And I dunno about all of you...but I have feeling that its gonna be a looong year after this last episode! Soo sad that heartland is over for another couple of months!

Heres what I observed...

Jack & Ty must be having a very 'serious' discussion..but what about?[Photo#5] I have the exact same dishes [green cups] at my house better go make sure they are still here.
Mini COWBOY JAKE is back !! and looks like he is interrupting something...[Photo#6]

The preview says that there is starving horses and then Ty is sick. And it looks like Ty and Amy are alone at Jack's cabin. Hopefully they don't make Amy have to choose between Ty and the horses to help. And what if he is seriously ill and they get him to the hospital and Amy doesn't know that Ty and Kitt broke up and Amy phones Kitt to tell her about what happened. But i highly doubt that will happen. Why is Ty sick? Is it a serious head injury from when Ty was fighting for Amy? Is it hypothermia (cause in pic #3 when Amy and Ty are standing next to each other Ty loos like he is freezing)? Also in that last pic it looks like Amy and Ty were making out when Jake walks in. "There are other discoveries between Lou and Peter, and Jack and Tim" (what does that mean??) "There is still more you might not have thought would turn up." (That obviously means Jake but is there any out else? Caleb? Can't wait till Sunday and Season three!!!

P.S. Is Jake taller now?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I can't believe it. I'm going to go into withdrawal. Sign me up for therapy, I'm going to need it. Maybe I'll even have to institutionalize myself. Alright, that's a slight exaggeration. But bring on the therapy. Because, "season finale"?? How did that happen so fast? Last time I remember, I was watching season 1 finale, and now it's that sad time for season 2?

On the upside, season finales are often the twe-awesomest episodes of the year. They're exciting, cliff-hanging, conflict-resolving, conflict-creating bombs. And this one looks great. Starving wild horses, Lou & Peter, Mallory & Jack, maybe Jack & Lisa, Kit & Caleb gone (or not?), and... did I even mention Ty collapses? Sunday is going to be a long time coming, and gone waaaay too fast. At least, to dull the pain, we do have a hope for a season 3. That's right, TV Fan, you can keep watching your fave show! And TC can keep posting her incitefull comments, Batgirl can make her long-awaited return, the Friendly Freaks can (hopefully!) become regulars, Raychel and Kimberly L. can stay tuned, and other not-mentioned but faithful fans can help keep Heartland's website busy until season 3. And Twe, of course, in its Tweness, will be there.

Now that I've sufficiently recovered from my mood-alteration and confusion over members of the blogging community (expounded upon further in the previous blog topic...)

TC joins the already active blog for the closer for season 2.

So, Ty's sick, and Val's sick. Reasons? It's anybody's guess at this point.

Welcome appearance by young Jake. Waiting to see how post-Goth phase Mallory reacts.

But what are these mysterious 'discoveries' hinted at? Amy and Ty, Lou and Peter, Jack and Tim... and this 'more' we mightn't have 'thought of'. (Hmm... if the writers only knew the things TC thinks of...)

While we're sad and mournful over the prospect of a Heartland-less Summer, we can at least be assured that the series is indeed returning in the Fall. That, and we have an active community of sorts here on the blogosphere where we can all commiserate, er, congregate.

no longer sarcastic,

A couple of weeks ago I saw the commercial for Heartland. I went onto the CBC website and found all the episodes for Season 1 and 2... I have spent the last two weeks in the evenings getting caught up. Now I am disappointed to hear the last episode of Season 2 is tomorrow night. Unfortunately, I am going to be at Retreat Centre in Maple Ridge BC where there is no TV. Will have to watch the last episode of Season 2 on CBC website the following weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed there is a 3rd Season as this is a quality show.

It's a good thing TC wasn't actually yet eating while reading the newspaper this morning...

Otherwise, I would surely have aspirated on my hash browns as I got to the Entertainment section. Either that, or I'd have needed someone to pick up my jaw from the floor. You see, there was this lovely feature on the front page all about our (YES! our blogging community!) on the FRONT PAGE!

What's so jaw-droppingly awesome about this? Well...let me tell you!

The writers of the article actually interviewed a member of our blogging community, believe it or not, boys and girls. I read a name. And then a location. And the wheels in my head started turning...I'm thinking, "Hmm...Could this be the Bear? Is this our Twe?" So I kept on reading.

Saints alive! It is Twe!

TWEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Twe, let me at once congratulate you on giving such a 'Twe-awesome' interview. Your comments (as we've come to expect from your contributions here) were respectful, courteous and mature. You've done us all proud. It must have been practically killing you to keep this wonderful surprise under wraps. For not breathing a word of it, I commend you. Thank you for comporting yourself so beautifully.

All hail Twe, official Heartland Blogging Community Ambassador! (If it's okay with you, I'll still just call you 'Twe' for short!)

We should actually all be proud of ourselves. According to the numbers cited in the article, (80,000 unique views a week!) this blog is the most successful of CBC's television blogs. And don't think the writers and cast-members haven't noticed. A lot of them read everything we write. (Coulda knocked me over with a feather when I read that one...)

So while 'suggestions' we make might not make an impact on story lines we see (scripts are already written in advance) the writers do take notice of them. Remember Badger? Based on the article, it looks like we may see him making another appearance. And that's all because of the positive fan reaction.

But poor Kerry. You guys... a little sympathy. He actually avoids the blogs because of all the negative comments hurled at Caleb. (In my opinion, some of the comments directed at Kerry, personally, probably had a lot to do with it, too). I guess the fact that people are even talking about him and his character means people are noticing him, even if they don't like him. Better than having complete silence.

All-in-all, it really seems that everyone connected to Heartland really appreciates all the fan feedback on the blog. It allows them to gauge how good a job they're doing. So let's keep those cool comments coming in, y'all!

Totally tickled,

-TC

Hope Caleb comes back in Season 3 - there WILL be a Season 3, we hope. This is the best show on television these days, bar none. Great family entertainment. Keep up the good work. keep it on for us!!!

n i'm simply love Graham Wardle since you say his a great photographer can't you post some of his work, if he's ok with that n i have a question for hte actors, isn't it difficult to detach themselves from their characters, n don't people usually see them or adress them by their characters?

well good luck for the rest!

I wonder what is wrong with Val?
Know that Amy and Ty are together, season 3 is going to be even better, I knew that it would be closer to the end, when Ty and Amy finally get back together.

Although we didn't get much of it, but maybe Season Three will give us more Amy and Ty moments. =3
Mmm, Caleb was expecting a really warm welcoming from Ashley. Guess he didn't get what he was expecting.
And not a very horrible cliff hanger. At least not between Amy and Ty. Val yes, Caleb and Ashley yes, Jack and Peter yes... sorta... but no real Amy and Ty cliff hangers. A lovely way to end off Season Two if I have any say about it!
Poor Ty. At least Amy seemed to know what she was doing. Although we never got to figure out what he had... but oh well. He seems to be better and that's all we need to know.
Amy and Ty got pretty mushy-gushy. It was cute. xD
Patiently (-cough-impatiently-cough-) awaiting Season three! For now, online videos of Heartland shall be my best friend! =)

OMGOMG!! I loved it!!!!!!! It was AMAZING! First, I like how devious Amy was, trying to go up to the cabin alone with Ty without telling Jack. Of course Ty automatically agrees. Mallory telling everyone about the diploma was funny. Love how she always thinks she's right. Next, when Jack said they could go up, I loved how excited Amy and Ty were until they heard Jack was going. And like he was just worried about them driving together. Soraya's comment 'Just talk?' was soo funny. Love how Lou just happened to have plans while Jake just happened to be staying over so that Jack just had to stay home. Knew that was coming! Lou tried way to hard to keep Internet Guy a secret. You could just see Amy's face light up when Jack said her and Ty could go. And it was soo more about Ty. Jack really didn't want them to leave, hanging onto the truck door! Tim selling land to Val proved he was REALLY desperate. I like that Ty wants to be a vet. He gave Amy a tough choice though. When Ty fainted I freaked out. I knew it was coming, but still. Amy took really good care of him. You could tell she really cares. Jack really over reacted about Peter. I can't believe Val told Ashley about the sponsoring. I loved the flash backs Amy had about her and Ty. The flashbacks were very dramatic and cute. It was adorable when he said she was beautiful. When they saw Ghost I thought she was going to say the 'just friends' bit, but when they kissed I was so happy! They love each other soo much. Jack looked so happy when he saw Amy and Ty back home. Ashley totally over reacted and it is Caleb's house, well trailer, so she can't kick him out. I loved Ty's face when Jack reminded him about staying away from Amy. And when he brought up 'kiss and run' I laughed. OMG! Jack has a heart! He actually gave Tim money. I'm sure everything will work out with them. I can't believe Val might be really sick. That'd be an interesting twist. Amy and Ty looked so cute on the couch together. And the kiss...eep! I loved when Mallory said "Are we intruding." They both answered yes. And when Mal said 'Don't get what he got.' I laughed. It took Amy forever to say she loved him. And when they were kissing the last time I was screaming at the tv 'Don't end! Don't end!" But sadly it did. All in all it was an amazing episode. I loved the cabin idea. Wish it had been a two hour season finale. Amy and Ty look so great together. I told all my friends they'd be together by the finale and I was right. I won't tell you how I knew though ;) Anyway, I loved it. Everyone did. It's going to be a long wait till October, which is no doubt when it's back, but the wait will be a bit less hard, knowing things are good between Amy and Ty. Loved it! All of you guys are amazing! You made a great season. Can't wait for season two. I know it'll be great because you all make it great. Post when season 3 is coming back soon. LOVE THE EPISODE! Heartland is the #1 show. This is an episode for the record books :D

Twe wrote:

The Twe is a creature of simple pleasures: it doesn't take much to make it absurdly happy. A milkshake. Warm cookies. An absolutely awesome Heartland episode.

First off: What I DID NOT like. Uh.... drawing a blank. At first, I hated how Mallory was the first to see Lou & Pete together. Everyone watching the episode with me let out a collective groan. Why? Well, we were scared that Mallory would blab to Jack, and the whole drama shock thing which the writers had us in suspense for would never happen. But, well, as I always say, I trust the writers, and the writers made this work, and so, long story short, um, I'm back to blank.

So let's go for Twe's top five! (why not top ten? Because the post would be waaaaay to long. If I did top ten, I might as well do top twenty, or top thirty, or...you get the drift. I don't want to torture the poor moderators TOO much. Just a little. Heh heh).

#5: Jack gives Tim a cheque. Wait...did Jack just help out Tim? Yes, yes, he did. And in the most awesome Jackish way ever. So, somewhere deep beyond all that stubble and bad coffee breath, he has a little little liiiiiiitttle soft spot for Tim. Probably very little though. Or maybe this was more about stopping Val. Who knows. Point is: he helped Tim!

#4: Val tells Ashley the truth...and nothing but, for once. What more can I say? That scene was so believable, so strong, and so interesting... Twe-awesome.

#3: PW Morris, aka Peter, aka Evil Oil Guy, aka Precious, meets Grandpa Jack! I'm not going to limit this to one scene. All the shots of Peter and Jack together are priceless. When Jack shakes Peter's hand for the first time, you can just tell he's wishing he could repeat what he did to Wes. I especially liked how nervous Peter looked. Poor Pete was terrified. But he stuck around to help, and we love him all the more for it. Here's to Pete--it's really starting to look like he'll stick around!

#2: Caleb gets thrown out of his own trailer by Ashley. Kerry James gets a lot of bad rap on here. And, ok, his character is a macho jerk at times. But the look on his face when he came back to Ash and she threw his stuff at him...darn it all, it melted my heart. Sure, he took Val's cheque. But can you blame the guy? It was his dream! And... I have the sneaking suspicion that, while he was away, he realized that 'good old Ash' wasn't just a friend. Anyway, I'm glad that it looks like Kerry James...and, yes, Caleb...will be sticking around. He's got me won over.

At 7:37 Canada erupted in a cheer, for Twe's #1 scene for Season 2 finale:

#1: The Kiss. Okay, there is kissing, and there is K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Kit and Ty kissed all the time. But...it always seemed really fake. Not fake, as in bad acting, but fake, as in not completely....heartfelt. But, well, this was another story. Now that was a kiss. That was the moment we've all been waiting for. Finally, FINALLY, Ty and Amy opened up and said what they felt and then showed it! YEEEES!! Now I can see why the writers never let them express themselves fully: when they finally did, it was monumentally more rewarding. I gotta say, that was one of my favourite Heartland moments ever. As in ever. As in eeeeeveeeeeeer--ok, I'll stop now.

So, ie: awesome episode. I was surprised--pleasantly--that it didn't end in a cliffhanger. I mean, Canadian chics have a tough enough life as it is without being left for months pondering the fate of their favourite characters (or, in other words, I'm somehow guessing...Ty). And the last shots, with Amy and Ty by the fire, and then Ghost and his girlfriend galloping through the beautiful Alberta landscape... I can see why I put Heartland with cookies and milkshakes. You can never have enough. Never. Neeeeeeveeeeer. I think I should go to bed.

Wow, this one of my longest posts yet! I'd be happy...except that I've got my first rendez-vous with my therapist tomorrow. Because, no more Heartland until OCTOBER? OCTOBER? Anywho, Twe out.

Congratulations to the cast and crew for a great job - especially the last 2 episodes - filming in -42 degree temperatures is above and beyond. Thank you all and to the CBC for a really great series.

I loved this episode (Sad though cause we have to wait months for the next new episode)

FINALLY!!!!! The thing we all (well most of us) have been waiting for all season has happened (doing my happy dance)!!! I wasn't surprised that Amy said that she loved Ty and he said it too, but they are actually together!!! Has that ever happened before??? I don't think so...
So there wasn't a cliffhanger.... Unless you call Val's medical condition one. It looks like Mallory and Jake are friends (Did something happen that we didn't see between the two???) Cause they are like bff's now...
Happy that Lou told her family about Peter. I used to not like him cause I'm a Lou and Scott fan, but now I think he's a good match for Lou.
I totally thought Ty becoming sick was going to be a cliffhanger (I bet lots of us did) but then during a commercial break i realized that it wouldn't be cause of the pic of Amy and Ty on the couch and before the break they were at the fishing cabin, so i was like "Oh..." So Good thing Ty is ok!
I laughed when Ashley threw all of Caleb's stuff out of his own trailer, I definitely didn't see that one coming!
I think I've said everything i needed to say (this is one of my longer posts)...

Hopefully they do repeats in the summer of season 1 and 2, Cause then I'll still have something to look forward to on Sunday's.

I can't wait to read TC's, Twe's and Nikole's posts (and sometimes TV Fan's)! I always enjoy them
I also Can't wait For Season 3! (Let's try and keep Ty and Amy together okay?)
Keep up the great work CBC!

YAY!! FINALLY!!!!!! The PERFECT ENDING - Ty and Amy back together again, where they belong. Yay, I like happy endings!! :D (And there better not be any messing around with their relationship in Season 3 now!!) Gorgeous horses, absolutely gorgeous scenery. The shots of Amy going into that great lil fishing cabin with the lights on inside and the snow blowing hard through the dark outside was a great capture. Just awesome!!

The only thing that made me sad - Ashley and Caleb! Now, THAT was just plain CRUEL!! I mean, look, Caleb comes back to see her, and Ashley just takes her mother's word - which by now she should probably know better than to trust wholeheartedly - that Caleb only cared about the money and that it only took him 10 seconds to take it without a second thought. That was not true- Caleb didn't want to take that cheque at first, in a gut feeling. He was asking everyone their opinion on it because he really wasn't sure about it. Ashley needed to ask him about it, not just judge him. You should talk to the person about things first before just chucking things at them.

But other than that, it was great - the PERFECT ending between Amy and Ty and an awesome end for the Season Finale!

Well... this was... IT? I was thoroughly dissapointed. I did like every ones story back at the ranch. Peter was right actually in standing up for himself, he's cool.
Ty and Amy, Amy and Ty! I hope all you ppl are happy now!!!!!!! That was the single most tackiest episode yet! What did i predict last week...?
I love you Amy... I love you Ty, I love you Amy, I love you Ty... As someone said last week GAG ME!!!!!!! The whole i love you thing, i thought was kinda innappropriate. First, she's 16! Second, it only took her a whole flippin year to finnaly be nice to him! The first season they weren't really together, just a kiss right? This season she spent the entire time throwing him nasty looks.
I don't know why Ty likes her in the first place. (i know it's a tv show...but still!) I was so dissapointed... It wasn't very dramatic... no cliff hanger for next season, why do i even have a reason to watch anymore?

I liked everyone else, just not Amy and Ty. They were the epitomy of TACKY! I've said my peace.

From a dissapointed fan, until next season, audieu, Raychel

CBC can you hear it......I can.....A collective sigh from the entire blog family, finally, they're together!

It's going to be fun to watch the development of their relationship, everyone knows there's plenty of ups and downs, learning and growth in any relationship, so it should be great fodder for the writers! I can see the new triangle forming with Lou, Peter and Scott! Hoping Scott wins out on this one, looks like we'll be seeing more of him in Season 3!

Great on you for working Ty getting his high school diploma into the season...all you kids out there..choices come from education! Go get one, doors will open wide!

I have one question, who is the brain behind choosing the music for the episodes. I have to say that the music is awesome, I've been introduced to so many artists that I have never heard of before, and my iPod is filling with some great tunes! So, whomever you are, i'm impressed and bow to your great taste in music.

Finally, my family and I are looking forward to season 3...you guys rock! Great season and CONGRATS to all the cast and crew for putting out such a great Canadian drama.

Basically, I think he is a good person, tryin' to find his way, just like the rest of us. This comes from a blogger that was not too keen on him to begin with.

LOVED IT THAT EPISODE WAS AMAZING FOR THE ENDING. Finally Ty and Amy got together i was so happy and i almost cried when Amy told Ty that she loved him and she all ways has that was so loving an that Ty said he love Amy to and than they kissed OMG!!!!! i was so so so happy.
It was funny when Amy was talking to surraya and Amy said that she wanted this week for her and Ty so that they could talk. Surraya said just talk, Amy said shut up and laugh.
It was so sad when Ty was sick but it was so cute how Amy was taking care of Ty. She took really good care of him.
I was so glad that Ty was all right, when they got back to Heartland jack said you look like hell didn't he know that Ty was sick i guess not.
It was so sweet when Amy got Ty a cup of coffee and then sat down beside him and than he put him arm around her and than they kissed and than Mallory and Jake came in and said oh excuse us are we intruding, TY AND AMY SAY YES!!!. Mallory says to Jake finally. Than Amy says something to Ty and Ty says no and than he says it to her she says no, and than he says just say it, Amy laugh and than Ty says come on in a cute voice and than Amy smiles and than says I LOVE YOU!!! and than they kiss than they stop and look at each other than they kiss again and it goes in to slow mode that was cool good part to put slow mode on when Ty and Amy kiss.
The ending was ok but i didn't really get it why didn't you just end it with Ty and Amy kissing. But i think i know why they had the horses at the end i think they had the horses at the end because to show that ghost had a horse and a kid but that is not why. They probably were trying to say that Ty and Amy are going to be all right just like ghost and his family.

(=I just want to say that i won't be here later this week to come back on to see the new website for fans of Heartland that is going to suck and i also won't be here to see the reason why Graham and Amber were laughing when they were talking about the last episode because i will be in Florida i mean that will be fun but i will miss not coming on here every day and seeing what people wrote and not seeing the new wed site and not seeing why Graham and Amber were laughing. I will have to see all of it when i get back if the web site is still there and the reason why Graham and Amber were laughing=p

(=will that is all i have to say talk to you guys in 2 weeks bye Victoria=b
(=You guys did a awesome job hope you guys make season 3 as good as season 1 & 2=)

O.K. - I have to comment too. How could you not after watching the final episode of the season? So- what a wonderful show. I have to say- all the shots of beautiful Alberta make me proud to live here. The scenery reminds me of how I grew up in small town rural Alberta and it takes me home every episode. Great season finale of Heartland! Really enjoyed it -- and of course, really enjoyed that Ty and Amy FINALLY got together! Man alive, did the writers of the show ever drag out that one!!!! (but in a good way)

I have to say, though, in my opinion, the episode was not as good as it could have been. As I said before, the writers really played out the Ty and Amy drama in a s-l-o-w way ... and just the way they got together in this finale episode was almost, ... anti-climactic. I think they were trying hard to make it into something meaningful, but in the end, I'm just not convinced. I think they should have shown a lot more interactions between Amy and Ty, and a lot more drama in the cabin scenes. It just seemed to come together ... I don't know ... too quickly in this episode. I would have liked to see it played out in a more meaningful way.
And i have to say, I'm also confused about Ty. In a previous episode this season, Amy made it VERY clear to Ty that she wanted to be with him when they were kissing in the rain, and HE was the one who said he could not commit, given his past. So what happened to that? How was that resolved? How did the ball all of a sudden end up in Amy's court?
Ty saying to Amy that it was pretty much up to her if they got together or not just did not make sense. Amy has been pretty clear all season that she likes Ty, and he was the one who was dating Kitt.
All in all, I am just really confused, and frustrated that the writers don't include more dialogue to explain how everything fits together. It's like they have really deep characters in this show, but they often give them shallow dialogue and story lines.

And back to my post from the last episode, I still think they should play Amy's Mom's death more into the show, having the characters talk about it more.

All in all, though, (and I really don't mean to sound like I'm complaining ... I'm just trying to give constructive feedback), I do love this show and will keep watching!! Can't believe I have to wait a whole 6 months!

I never realized until this morning how much I liked Heartland and felt disappointed that it wouldn't be on until the fall again.
Haha Raychel, I also found Ty and Amy way too cute. It kinda seemed out of place. But I can't lie, I was happy with it. And I agree that Amy is only 16 so 'I love you' couldn't mean a whole lot, but since she acts and looks than 16 , I'm not really bothered by that. I guess making her only 16 gives the writers more freedom with her character. It never says how old Ty is though does it? He must be at least 19 if he got his diploma late.
I wonder if Caleb will be back next season.. and if he is willl he try to get Amy. Or will Ashley find out that Caleb didn't use her and her mom just twisted the story. But I really want to see what they do with Ty and Amy, clearly the writers won't let their relationship go on smoothely. Maybe Kit will be back, I doubt that though. We were set up not to like her it seems.
And what about Scott? Is he out of the picture for good?? I really hope not. In the episode with the race he hinted at Lou that he wanted to spend the weekend with her. So why would the writers add that scene if nothing was to come of it.... unless it was to show that Lou really is getting over him.
But anyways, good season! Thanks CBC!

The first day they posted this blog entery I was totally siked. I studied at the photos a few times every day of the week and read all the comments. On Monday I set a timer for the season finale and stared at it every day. I stared at the calinder (which I have coloured every "Heartland sunday" hot pink) And I drove my friends and family crazy.

I woke up sunday morning and my Heartland Timer said "11 hours, 17 muinites and 13 seconds"(till heartland)

Then, I paced the house driving my family crazy. Fineally, They got irritated and sent me outside telling me to go get some fresh air and "straighten out my head"
So i did, taking my Heartland timer with me. I sat down on the grass beside the timer and visualised what the episode would be like.

Finealy,,It was half an hour till Heartland. I was eating dinner wit my family. My heartland timer wan right next to me.
I kept staring at it and fineally drove my parents crazy (again) and they let me go. I sat down infront of the tv and wached the tv listings for like 10 muinites till it was HEARTLAND TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So then I wached the whole episode. It was like being in Heaven!!!!!!!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Some of sarah's favorite episode Hilights♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

-----Lou keeps hideing from everyone,,not wanting to be seen with peter. Mallory calles him 'Creepy oil dude' (or somthing like that)

Season Finale-‘Step by Step’
Just a heads up this post will be quite lengthy. Due to the long track my train of thought is following.I really want to thank CBC and Heartlands Cast & Crew for bringing Heartland to life. You guys work really hard and we appreciate it very much!
I can’t believe we are here seems like I just watched Ep.201 yesterday and now we are going to be waiting until Fall o9’ for Season 3 to premiere. Holy Cows…=P

This season finale will definitely be on Nikole’s more-liked than others list. For many reasons:
A) There wasn’t a huge cliffhanger ending, more of a coming together kind-of ending.
B) Amy confessed that she messed up before and told Ty she loved him. [About time!]
C) Lou let Peter meet everybody [Fleming/Bartlett/Borden/Wells]
D) Ashley learned the truth about the sponsorship money.
E) Jack actually helped Tim out.
F) Amy & Ty..kiss...so sweet and heartfelt.

Soraya & Mini Cowboy & The Stanton Women decided to grace us with their presence in the finale. Wait, did you see it? My word ! Caleb O’Dell showed up, which was somewhat unexpected.=]Glad he will be in Season 3...drama...

It all starts when Amy overhears Ty telling Jack about some horses that are starving up in the foothills and about the weather and how cold his loft is. Immediately Amy complains to Jack about this much to Jack’s dismay and she hatches a plan to go and bring the horses hay. This devious plan involves a road trip and Ty of course. Good on Amy for taking a chance. But there are a few complications. There always are.... Heh Heh.

Bringing horses the hay is probably the best idea in my opinion so they don’t starve. Loved how they brought horses into this episode again. When they were unloading the hay and Ty is coughing and doesn’t look to well. UhOh=[ Amy asks him about Kit, and Ty says things just didn’t work out. He then asks her about Caleb if she’s heard anything, to which Amy replies no. So there that’s done. Now we can watch in peace with hope.

Inside the cabin they finally talked about Ty’s diploma and what he wants to do. Amy asked Ty about the friendship not working out thing. Ty can’t just be her friend anymore and wanted to know where he stood with her and everything. Like Mallory said he is at a crossroads. It’s Amy decision on what to do about ‘them’. Well finally Ty made it more clear to Amy that he loves her. It’s nice to see that Ty might get involved with Scott and the Vet thing. Ty would make a great vet.=] When Ty collapsed after having hallucinations. I of-course being one of those people who are very jumpy, jumped. I knew that it was gonna be up to Amy to take care of him..she cares for him so much anyway…I absolutely loved the flashbacks of Amy & Ty seeing all they have been thru. It was adorable when Ty told Amy she was beautiful. And…Amy & Ty are together! How Amy told him she loved him…the kiss….

I laughed at how Amy was so silent when Mallory spilled about Ty’s diploma to everyone. Mallory obviously hates secrets. I love her out-right honesty.

Since Caleb is off on the rodeo circuit Ash is living alone in the trailer and she gets a visit from Val. Val’s test results came in and all is good. Glad, Ashley didn’t need another burden. She tells her mom about how she missed Caleb and he never calls her. Val then begs her to come home again.

Lou had her weekend all planned with ‘Precious Pete’ to go to Green Mountain Spa. Peter as he should be in my opinion is ticked about Lou keeping him a secret. So they come back home to Heartland, where Peter indeed meets Jack. Jack’s reaction was totally what I expected from him. It was very thoughtful of Peter to get his personal plow out there for Jack.
When Ashley told Caleb to get the hell out his expression was soo funny! I think he might have came to get Ashley to tell her he liked her..But man he had another thing coming. The cowboy boots to the face!=P

Ty’s face and reply when Jack reminded him about staying away from Amy was interesting. I can’t really pin-point if he was disappointed or sarcastic. His face looked shocked at first thinking he might have to actually stay away.

Mallory was hilarious when they intruded. The two Yes’s from Amy & Ty made me laugh=P. Mallory is all finally!

Amy & Ty by the fire at the end. Making sure Ty wasn’t delirious when he told her was a good move, just to make sure. Haha Ty was all were you? Say it? Ghost and his family galloping in the Ah-Mazing Albeta landscape was beautiful.

In the End:No cliffhangers except for Caleb & Ash, and Val’s health. For season three we have to watch for Val’s health, she has to go for more tests. Caleb & Ashley..what the hell happened there…will Caleb stay? Ty will he end up helping Scott and go down that path. Jack & Peter is Jack will Jack warm-up to Peter? Amy & Ty…..many future plot developments can be placed here.
Great episode left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Many future plots developing in my head.
Kudos to all the Actors & Actress’ great job everyone ! Crew members who bring all this together again THANK YOU.
@TWE: I also want to congratulate you. You did us all proud. Our ‘TWE-Awesome’ Official Heartland Blogging Community Ambassador.
So here we have it folks, Nikole’s last post about a Season two episode. With my warm and fuzzy feeling I shall be headed off, until October that is.

With Love,
Nikole.

Safe! Oh, my. I can't tell you the number of scenarios playing through my mind during the course of this episode. Things could have gone in a number of tragic, heart-stopping, hanging by a fingernail ways, but episode writer Heather Conkie instead had compassion on sensitive hearts.

TC's biggest fear while watching this was that Ty, in his delirium, would wander off from the cabin and get himself lost in the snowstorm. Thankfully, this did not happen. Neither did the cabin burn down, nor did anyone get into an accident due to poor driving conditions.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Step by Step, as we all know, concludes Season 2 of Heartland. A hearty congratulations to everyone involved with bringing the series to life on our TV screens and computer monitors. It's rare to have such 'family' fare on television as it is, these days, so thanks for making it so good.

To wrap things up for the season, fans - especially Amy and Ty supporters - had a lot to be happy about. Here's the lengthy recap:

Secrets and Storms

After the usual preamble reminding us of previous plot points (the messy Ty-Kit break-up; Caleb's departure; Val's potential medical problems, etc.), we're treated to some lovely views of the Rockies (I shall never tire of those, even though they're practically in my back yard), and a herd of wild horses, whinnying and getting themselves snowed upon.

In the house, Ty mentions the heavy snowfall that's happened to the west; Jack comments that there have been road closures due to the fact. Ty says that he just about froze to death in the loft the night before, and Jack scoffs at all the talk of 'global warming' and the end of the world... guess somebody forgot to tell Heartland Ranch about it... no melting snow there, that's for sure.

Jack starts to tell Ty if it's getting too cold in the loft, he might want to -

“Sleep on the couch in front of the fireplace?” Ty asks hopefully.

No, Ty. Jack doesn't want your dirty socks messing up his living room. Jack suggests Ty just use some extra blankets. (You're a real pal, Jack!)

Amy comes in, rubbing her gloved hands together because it's so chilly outside. Ty informs Jack that Scott's been getting calls about some starving wild horses up near Fish Creek, and that there are some colts among them. This cuts right to Amy's heart, and she wants to go on a rescue mission to feed them.

Jack nixes the idea right away. “It's not good for them in the long run,” he says, and Amy replies that dying isn't good for them in the long run, either.

In town, Lou runs into Tim, who's just come from a meeting with his banker. She notes that he's looking rather glum, and he tells her about his cash flow problems as well as the huge tax bill he has to pay. But he tries to stay optimistic that things could be looking up. He mightn't have a cattle business, but at least he still has the 'Dude Ranch'. Lou smiles, and tells Tim the business is doing well, and if he needs anything, all he has to do is say so. They hug, and as they pull away, Tim spots Peter coming out of his truck.

“What kind of idiot goes by his initials?” Tim asks, after a couple other put-downs. “I'm surprised that guy shows his face in this town.”

Poor Lou. She still hasn't told the family that she's seeing Mr. P.W. Morris, so she scampers away abruptly, hoping to avoid him. Peter, however, does spot her. He raises a hand to wave. Tim thinks the greeting is meant for him, and just scowls and walks on. Oops. Lou drives away, leaving a bewildered Peter to wonder what just transpired.

Back at Heartland, Amy's not about to let Jack's attitude stop her. She has a plan. She lays it all out for Ty: They take a little 'road trip' to Jack's fishing cabin, just the two of them (ooh, Ty likes that idea, so he's all ears) hauling along with them hay in Ty's old truck for the hungry horses. Ty agrees something should be done, but he's not really sure Jack would let them go. Mischievous Amy says: “Maybe Grandpa doesn't need to know.”

Amy! When are you going to learn that all your clandestine operations are always bad ideas?!!

Cut to opening credits. (Anyone think this might be the last time we see this particular opening sequence for Heartland? Wonder if they'll keep things the same for Season 3...)

“Are you in?” Amy asks Ty. And he's all for it. Happy that her 'plan' is starting to take flight, Amy leaves Ty to his chores. Mallory enters, and strikes up a conversation, as is her habit.

“So! You're a man of many secrets,” she says. She talks about his break-up with Kit and wants him to spill the details.

“Don't you have your own love-life to worry about?” he asks. Apparently Jake will be coming over. Mallory isn't amused by the comparison, since the kid is only staying with them because his parents have an funeral to attend and don't want to leave him alone.

At meal time, Mallory makes an announcement about another of Ty's 'secrets'. But surprise... it's not about his hidden but honest and deep feelings for Amy; rather it's that he's earned his high school diploma. Everyone's quite pleased and happy for him, and Lou wants to know why he didn't tell anyone.

Mallory has a pat answer for that: “Because nobody around here can tell anybody anything, because everything is a big mystery.

Lou says: “Uh, no, Mallory. You just create mysteries where there are none.”

Meal's pretty much over, so folks get up to clear the table. Amy does ask Ty what's up with all the secrecy. He says he was going to say something about the achievement, but “guess who beat me to it?”

They briefly take notice of Lou attempting to be secretive on the phone, since she's just received a call. In hushed but ecstatic tones, she takes the phone into her room to in order to continue the conversation in privacy.

“Internet guy,” Mallory observes. “I think we should stage an intervention.” Oh, she's so amusing.

Ty excuses himself, leaving Mallory alone with Amy. Mallory doesn't miss a beat, and proceeds to rush into her theories about Ty's future, since he's clearly at a 'crossroads' in his life, i.e.: he just got his high school diploma, and he's just broken up with Kit. Mallory wants to know what Amy's going to do about it all. Amy reveals nothing, but simply says: “I'm working on it,” the details of which are none of Mallory's business.

“Well, don't screw it up this time!” is Mallory's parting advice.

Later in the barn, Amy gives Ty the lowdown: they'll tell Jack they're taking the hay up to the 'Dude Ranch', and that they're taking in a movie in town afterwards. Of course, what they're doing instead would make him blow a gasket if he knew. Well, surprise of surprises: Jack walks in and tells them he's been talking with Scott. The vet has said that feeding the horses is the only way they'll survive the winter.

Amy asks if that means they can go, and Jack says yes. Ty says he'll pack the truck.

“We'll leave first thing in the morning,” says Jack. Uh-oh. Weren't expecting that complication, were you, Amy?

“'We'?” she echoes.

“Think I want you two driving on those icy roads alone?” Jack asks. Man, he is so perceptive. Just can't put anything over this guy, no sir-ee. Priceless the look on Amy and Ty's faces. No alone-time for you!

Over at Maggie's, Amy and Soraya (Soraya!! Heavens, we haven't seen her in forever and a day!) dish about the spoiled weekend plans.

Amy feels that there's so many things that she and Ty need to talk about.

“Just 'talk'?” Soraya teases.

“Shut up,” Amy mutters.

Ashley picks that moment to waltz in. “Hey girls,” she chirps, and grabs the stool next to Soraya.

Amy asks if she's heard from Caleb. Ashley says she has, and says he's doing great. “He hasn't called you?” Ashley innocently asks. (A little too innocently...)

Amy has to admit he hasn't. Ash gushes on that Amy's lucky, because it seems Caleb can't quit with the text messages, and when they do actually talk, she can't get him off the phone.

“So, what's this I hear about Ty and Kit? Drama, drama, drama!”

Ehhhh... touchy subject, Ash. And Amy is back to realising that she really, really needs to have time to talk with Ty about things.

Back at the house, Jack has a chat with Lou about the weekend trip to the cabin to feed the horses. He'd like her to mind Mallory and Jake, prompting Mallory to declare that they'll be fine on their own. Lou protests that she already has plans.

“Is this still the 'Internet Boyfriend'?” Jack asks, looking rather irritated that he still doesn't know anything about the guy – his face, his name...

“Probably an alias,” Mallory puts in.

Lou says they will get to meet him, and that he's a real gentleman and a good person, and that he treats her right.

“As long as he isn't an axe murderer,” Mallory says.

“Or worse,” Jack says, “an oil man!” Heh-heh-heh...ohhh, and poor Lou looks like she just wants to shrivel up and die as she leaves to meet Peter.

When Lou joins Peter in his truck, he insists on picking her up at the house the next day for their weekend getaway. Lou tries to protest, since she still isn't quite ready for him to 'meet the folks', even though she'd promised him she would tell them about him. But Peter won't budge. He also calls her on her avoidance tactic the previous day when she bumped into Tim. She tries to deny it, but Peter's not a fool. He knows she didn't acknowledge him because Tim was in the vicinity. She claims that when it is the right time to reveal that he's the Internet Boyfriend, she will. Amy picks that precise moment to come walking out of Maggie's. Lou does a hasty 'duck and cover' so as not to be seen.

That evening, Jack tells Amy that because Lou has planned to be away, he'll be staying to watch Mallory and Jake. Amy tries to be sly by saying she guesses that puts an end to the rescue mission.

Jack doesn't miss a trick. He asks if this is really about the horses, or if it's about Ty.

“It's about helping the horses,” Amy states, “what else?”

But Jack's not buying a word of it. He says he knows about the break-up with Kit, and that a person would have to be blind not to see what's going on – Amy and Ty circling each other for months.

Amy's about to completely drop the whole plan to go to the cabin, when Jack says they can still go – he just worries about the foul weather and poor road conditions. He offers them the big truck, because it's much safer than Ty's old piece of trash.

A relieved and grateful Amy gives him a big hug.

They set off early next morning. Jack gives Amy a battery for the radio he has up at the cabin, since they probably won't have any cell phone reception.

Mallory and Jake keep themselves entertained playing Wii games, breaking things in the process. Lou is about to explain to Jack about Peter when he intervenes in a little tussle between the young 'uns. He offers them lunch at Maggie's, and they jump at it. Lou seems relieved that they'll all be out of the house by the time Peter arrives.

In the meantime, Tim has asked for a meeting with Val. He offers to sell her some of his land, and she mentions she's always admired the piece between the river and Heartland...

Ty and Amy arrive safely at Jack's cabin with the load of hay. There are no horses in sight, but Amy believes they'll come.

Val takes a spin out to visit Ashley. She tells her that the results of the tests came back, and that everything looks good. A very relieved Ashley gives Val a hug, and they go off the the club for a celebratory lunch.

While unloading the hay from the truck, Amy broaches the subject of Kit. Ty says there's nothing to tell, except that it didn't work out. Ty asks if Amy's heard from Caleb. She admits she hasn't, somewhat grumpily adds that Ashley has.

“Apparently, he calls her all the time.”

Ty's response to this is a series of nasty-sounding coughs. He unzips his jacket, an odd response to the freezing cold temperatures. Amy comments that he seems to be really working up a sweat. Ty teases that he could use a little more muscle out of her.
“I'm keeping up!” she replies with mock indignation. Playful fighting ensues.

The way these two tease each other, episode after episode, is indicative of how cute and compatible they are. It happens so naturally, it's easy to believe that Graham and Amber are really in character during these moments.

Peter shows up on schedule at Heartland, wondering where everybody is. Lou says she had everyone waiting to meet him, but that he was late.

After their lunch, Val returns Ashley to the trailer. She asks if Ash is really going to be okay in that “thing”. Ashley says she doesn't mind the cold, but that it gets lonely without Caleb.

“I miss him,” she says. “Who knew? But, typical guy. He doesn't call...” Ashley says she was sure he'd be calling about all the stupid belt buckles he'd be winning, but nothing.

Wow... and to think I actually believed her in the beginning when she was gushing to Amy about his bothersome (non-existent!) texts and calls. Shame on me for thinking she was being honest. Now we know Ash was just stringing those lies together to make Amy miserable. But, like mother, like daughter. We haven't seen the end of the deplorable behaviour yet, oh no! Bad Val is back, and Ashley will soon be on the receiving end of her venomous strikes. More on that later...

Back at Jack's cabin, Amy toasts Ty's academic success. She notices he's hardly touched his food, but he claims he's alright. She then asks him about what he said to her when he picked her up from her visit with horse healer, Victor.

(The whole 'friendship thing' that wasn't working out for him...)

“I can't just be your 'friend',” Ty says. “I just want to know where I stand. Not just with you, but with everything.” He tells her he has to start thinking about what he's going to do with his life. With his diploma, the significance of attaining that is not lost on him. For the first time in his life, he finally has choices.

“I know that sounds lame,” he says. But Amy gets what he's saying, and doesn't make him feel ashamed or uncomfortable about it. She asks him what he wants to do. Ty says that he's been exploring the possibility of an internship or apprenticing with Scott. Amy thinks it's an awesome idea.

With talk of Ty's possible professional future out of the way, Amy tackles the personal: “What do you want to do with us?”

“I guess that's up to you,” Ty answers. Some meaningful looks are exchanged across the table...

Then, the horses arrive. Alerted by their whinnying, Amy and Ty step outside to see the wild horses starting to feast on the hay they've provided.

On the way to their destination, Peter makes a pit-stop at Maggie's to grab some coffee for them. Lou spots Jack's truck in the parking lot, and insists they get coffee somewhere else. He looks at her like she's a little off her rocker, and she stays in his vehicle while he goes in on his own.

Inside Maggie's, Jack spots Val, and asks if she has any news. We know he's referring to her test results, but she instead talks about her potential business with Tim and his land.

(I don't know if this was intentional on Val's part, but I wouldn't put it past her.)

Mallory sees Peter getting coffee, and tells Jake who he is, and how Lou totally destroyed him during their earlier dispute over the seismic testing.

“Jack, am I getting into the middle of some nasty family feud here?” Val asks.

“Tim's not exactly family,” he informs her. Val comments that once the deal goes through, Jack will have a nice buffer between himself and Tim.

Funny, Val. I don't know which Jack detests more: having you owning the land, or keeping Tim as a neighbour.

Peter leaves with the coffee, and Jack gets Mallory and Jake to pack it in. As they're backing out of their parking spot, Mallory sees Lou in the passenger seat.

“The oil guy is the internet guy!” she exclaims. “Jack is gonna go nuts. Everyone is gonna go nuts.”

Jack barks for her and Jake to get into the truck. Mallory wisely holds her tongue for the time being.

Ty and Amy stand outside watching the horses. “They're amazing,” Amy marvels.

At that moment, Ty's vision begins to swim. He squints to clear his eyes, but he keeps having trouble focusing. Amy notices his discomfort and asks if he's okay. He says he doesn't feel good, but looks up again and through blurry sight thinks he sees a horse he recognizes.

“It's Ghost,” he says, referring to Amy's wild ghost horse she'd seen at the beginning of the season.

“Ghost? Where?” Amy asks eagerly. But she doesn't see him.

“Right there,” Ty says, pointing. His vision turns blurry again. Ghost trots off, and Ty loses consciousness. He falls to the snowy ground, and a shocked Amy tries to rouse him.

And I'm leaving off right here, since we're about half-way through. As usual, I'll return with Part II later!

Thank you writers, producers, cast, crew, everyone involved, and of course CBC for the best show ever!!

I love the respect, and the relationship between Jack and Ty. When Jack reminded Ty about what he told Ty when he first arrived ("You stay ten feet away from my granddaughters any part of you that crosses that line will be removed") then practically saying i want you two to be together was an awesome moment ("... no kissing and running this time").

To the actors who play Caleb and Kit. I want to say that you are amazing actors and the main reason why so many people don't like your characters is because they stand in the way of Amy and Ty getting back together. But that in the fault of the writers. So don't blame yourselves for fans not liking Caleb and Kit. I wonder what Caleb was going to tell Ashley before she started throwing his stuff at him. I hope that Kit comes back in Season 3, not to try to split up Ty and Amy but she deserves an good guy in her life (not to say that Ty isn't a good guy cause he is).

Ideas for Season three:
1) Val dies, Ashley is a mess because she didn't get to tell her mom that she forgives her about Caleb. Caleb comes to the rescue. Ashley's brother comes back into the picture and tries to run Brier Ridge. (Quick history on Jesse Stanton: Season one, episode one: Amy and Jesse were going out, at Ashley's pool party Jesse gave Amy a cellphone the same one she uses to date, Jesse wanted to drive Amy home but he was drunk. Ty beat up Jesse cause he thought that Jesse was hurting Amy. Amy and Jesse broke up. Later Ashley said that Jesse went to boarding school.) And maybe Jesse tries to get back together with Amy.
2) Ty debates about on going to university (aka vet school). Can Amy and Ty's relationship last long distance? Or maybe he waits till Amy graduates so that they can go together. But then what would happen at Heartland?
3) Tim gets engaged? Or maybe he moves to Calgary? Or Whats her name moves to live with Tim?
4) They need more hot young guys for the girls to fight over, cause in season one Soraya, Amy and Ashley fought over Ty. In Season two we met Caleb and Kitt. So now we have four girls Amy, Ashley, Soraya, and Kitt, and two boys Ty and Caleb. Amy and Ty are obviously together, and Ashley and Caleb well who knows. So the next guy who comes along Soraya and Kitt will fight over him, like when Soyaya and Ashley fought over Ben.

Things the writers CAN NOT DO for Season three:
1) The writers can not kill off any main character like Jake or Ty
2) The writers can not break up Amy and Ty until about halfway through the season, but you better have a very good reason for them to break up (not cheating cause every tv show uses that and i wouldn't be realist) and if it is a misunderstanding you have to put them back together by the end of the season.

Things the writers should do for future seasons:
1) Ty asking Jack and Tim for Amy's hand in marriage
2) Amy and Ty getting married
3) Amy and Ty pregnant, Ty thinks he will be the say as his dad, Amy is worried that Ty is going to leave like her dad did

@TC: Thank you for writing what you did on the 20th about the news article. I had the same reaction as you when i read your post. What newspaper was that article in?

@TC; hey, thanks. ;) Glad you enjoyed the article--I guess the Twe has been officially unmasked. Darn!! At least they didn't publish a photo or anything. Actually, it was a fairly easy secret to keep, as most people in my social circle hate/don't care about Heartland. I've actually only told three people; my mum, sister, and, of course, my buddy batgirl. Anyway, it was a really fun experience!! Anyway, I was looking forward to seeing if you read the article, and thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Heh heh, glad I didn't accidentally murder you with your breakfast.
@hunterjumper: aah, everyone's favourite question it seems: what does Twe mean?? The answer..... well, that's my deep dark secret.
@The Friendly Freaks: Yo, freaks, don't leave! I want more of your comments, you're freakishly funny.
@TV Fan: Hey, where are you? I'm missing Heartland's resident critic.
@Batgirl: post, girl, I know where you live.
Wow, I'm getting a long list of people who want therapy! Maybe HEARTLAND could add another section to their website: Heartland fan therapy. Awesoooooome...

Part II, like I promised:

Ghost of a Chance

Amy manages to get Ty inside. He's feverish and delirious, and she forces him to lie still in bed as she covers his shivering form with a blanket. She goes right to work filling a basin with water to help bring the fever down.

Cut to Tim's property where he's doing some repairs on his gate. Jack pulls up in his truck, and the two start to discuss Tim's pending land sale to Val Stanton. Jack's quite livid about the whole situation, sputtering that the plot being offered to Val just happens to butt right up against Heartland.

“I either do this, or I sell the whole package,” Tim says, after admitting to Jack he's on his last legs, financially.

“Then sell her something on the other side!” Jack bellows. Heh. Guess it really is about the prospect of having Val owning the land next to Heartland. Jack will do favours for Val, but there's no way he's going to let her near his property. He must really subscribe to 'Good fences make good neighbours'. In this case, he doesn't want Val for a neighbour at all!

Out on the road, Peter and Lou come to a standstill when more road closures are announced on the radio. Lou wants to continue their little getaway somewhere else, but Peter doesn't seem too happy.

He spells out his concerns: “This whole thing; us: I don't think it's really going anywhere.”

Lou feigns ignorance. (It's got to be feigned ignorance, because we can all see he's getting pretty fed up with all the secrecy).

“What am I to you? I'm an oil man. A parasite.”

Lou tries to protest, but Peter points out that she can't even bring herself to tell her family about him. He wonders if he embarrasses her with all their skulking around.

“Honestly? I'm done,” he says, and his face shows it.

Lou is rather shocked at this development, and flounders around to salvage the mess she's made of things. She desperately tells him they can return to Heartland where she'll inform everyone about their relationship, and that Peter has never embarrassed her, ever. She claims she does that all on her own. (Yup, same old self-deprecating Lou...)

Peter relents, and they start the drive back.

I'm of the opinion that Peter issued that ultimatum of sorts, all the while praying Lou wouldn't call his bluff. He needed to force her hand, because I don't think Lou would have ever been comfortable revealing his identity. At least not with the present climate.

In the kitchen at Heartland, young Jake tells Mallory he wouldn't tell Jack about the latest relationship discovery if he were in her shoes. (Heheh... I spy another 'I ♥ Alberta Beef' pictogram. This time it's a fridge magnet.)

“Yes, but it's in my head,” Mallory says, “and once things are in my head, they come out of my mouth.”

Well, lovely little self-analysis there, Mallory. I'm amazed she held her tongue this long!

Just then, Jake spies Peter and Lou pulling up in front of the house.

“Okay, things are about to get ugly,” Malloy says.

Lou and Peter step inside, and asks Mallory if Jack is around. “Grandpa?” she calls out.

Listen... d'you hear that?

...

I don't, either! No shrill telephone jangles or cell phone ditties! Confrontation not averted!! There is no escape. Peter and Lou must face the dragon. Jack pointedly ignores Peter's proffered hand. If this were a cartoon, Jack would have steam blasting out of his ears, but he actually maintains his cool in those first few moments.

“You remember Peter Morris?” Lou asks.

“Internet Guy,” Mallory whispers to a stunned-looking, eye-ball-twitching with unexpressed rage Jack.

In case we were still worried about Ty and Amy, we're now taken back to the fishing cabin, where it's a full-scale snowstorm raging outside.

Ty believes he can drive, and Amy gently, but firmly informs him he can't. His own spinning head convinces him he's in no condition to be upright. Amy tries in vain to get a cell phone signal. She places a cool cloth on Ty's forehead, and tries to get Jack's ancient Viking Ranger transmitter radio from like 1958 to work.

Back at Heartland, Jack tries to keep calm, but his ire rises as he counts down all of Peter's faults and indiscretions (among them property damage and trespassing).

“Of all the people in the world,” he gripes to Lou, “you bring him over my threshold?!”

Peter tries to calmly defend himself. “Hold on there, Jack,” he breaks in, “we can talk about this-”

Mister Bartlett to you!” Jack snipes back.

Lou wants an opportunity to explain. Mallory, not helping matters says: “At least he's not Jack the Ripper!”

(Don't think I need to tell you folks who Jack the Ripper is, right? Good.)

Jack sends Mallory and Jake out of the kitchen. He then turns to Peter and makes it clear he's not welcome in his house, amid Lou's protests.

“You and him can do whatever you want, but not under this roof!”

Lou can't stand his pig-headedness, and calls for Jack to stop yelling.

“What the h*ll is that noise?!” Jack suddenly notices his radio is producing whines and static bursts.

A thoroughly frustrated Lou tells Peter that little performance by Jack was exactly what she was trying to avoid, hence her ambivalence about telling him about their relationship in the first place.

At the radio, Jack pulls in Amy's signal. She informs him that Ty is really sick, and that she's afraid to drive because of the awful conditions. He tells her not to worry; that he'll come get them.

Peter advises him it won't be possible to drive to the mountains due to the road closures. Amy tells Jack that she and Ty will just stay put, but she does sound worried.

Over at the O'Dell-less O'Dell-Stanton trailer, Bad Val pays her daughter another unexpected visit.

Val claims she's worried about Ashley's attachment to Caleb, and that she hardly knows anything about him. Ash insists that she does.

“He hooked up with you because he saw an opportunity,” Val says.

“Money, right?” Ashley says snidely. “You have this strange, twisted view of the world. Not everyone is motivated by money, Mom, especially Caleb.”

Bad Val has a good hoot of a laugh at that one. “Is that right?” she chortles. “Then why did it take him less than ten seconds to accept my sponsorship money?”

Oh...oh, my. Ashley's face just turns white with shock. Val truly is a manipulator par excellence, but a different adjective was running through my mind. But this is a family-friendly forum, and I won't write what I was actually thinking at the time.

“Oh, he didn't tell you? Well of course he didn't!” Val sneers. “I gave him a cheque so he could go on his little rodeo circuit.”

“You paid him to go away?” Ashley asks in a broken little voice.

Val, sensing she still hasn't got Ash on-side yet says in an almost soothing voice: “No, uh-uh. He wanted to go away. I just made it possible.”

Whoops. Wrong step. Ashley demands that Val vacate the premises. Val wants to know why Ash is angry with her, when Caleb took the money. Ashley counters that Val only gave him the money to get rid of him; to buy him off.

“Yes, sweetheart” Val admits, and goes for the jugular: “and he was bought!”

Arrrrgh!! I wanted to claw out her eyes. After telling Caleb all that nonsense about keeping the money a secret, because she didn't want Ashley to 'take it the wrong way'... Gah! Conniving, mean-spirited, venomous... If I go any further, my words will no longer be G-rated...

Ashley still tosses Val out, but the damage has been done. From now on, we know she's going to be second-guessing everything that's happened with Caleb.

That entire sequence was sheer brilliance, and perfectly acted by Wanda and Cindy.

As night falls, it seems the storm still rages. Amy keeps her bedside vigil beside Ty, continuously swabbing his head with a cool, moist cloth.

Meanwhile, Peter has called his workers, trying to get them out with some snowploughs to clear the roads in order to mount a rescue mission.

Lou tries to convince Jack that Peter is a good guy, as evidenced by his attempts to help.

Jack says that it's pretty much in his blood to hate oil guys. Lou says she used to feel that way, too, but that since getting to know him, she's changed. Jack says it will take some time for him to get used to the idea she's dating 'the enemy'.

She's not thrilled with the euphemism, but at least Jack's no longer on a rant. Peter informs them that one of his guys will be out ploughing in the morning, and bids them goodnight.

Back at the cabin, Amy's returning with fresh water. She stokes up the fire, and gives Ty some hot liquids to keep him hydrated. He eventually falls asleep, and she takes up a spot near to him.

This is followed by a really beautiful montage of scenes while Amy remembers Ty's return from his lengthy absence, and the appearance of her ghost horse. She also recalls the tender and playful moments they've shared – the ones where they were tentatively 'circling each other', as Jack put it.

Morning breaks, and with it, the storm, and Ty's fever. He still looks rather pale, but the worst of it is over. Amy gets up to get the fire started.

Ty observes her and says, “You're beautiful.”

His words catch her off-guard, and she just turns to look at his scruffy, pasty face, squinting at her in the morning light.

“You are,” he says, as if to confirm she wasn't imagining what she'd heard.

She walks over to him and looks like she wants to say something, but something catches her attention through the frost-covered window pane.

“Ty,” she says softly, with a smile, “you have to come see this.”

She pushes the snow-laden door open, and they see her ghost horse prancing about. “You did see him,” she says happily. What's more, 'Ghost' is accompanied by his mate and colt.

“Looks like he has a family,” Amy marvels.

“Hey, Ghost,” Ty says affectionately, and approaches the wild creature. Ghost trots forward, and Ty and Amy enjoy a brief close encounter with him before he returns to his family.

It's just a really sweet little magical moment that I'm sure they wish lasted longer.

Ty and Amy hold each other as they watch the horses eating. Amy breaks away and says to Ty that he mightn't think they can be friends, but she thinks they can – but that they can also be more than that; that they need to be more than that because she loves him.

“I always have,” Amy admits. She also tells him she knows she's screwed things up between them more than a few times. “I love you so much.”

“I love you, too,” Ty replies, as he looks her in the eye. From there is the inevitable lip-lock for the pair, and Ty and Amy fans rejoice!

Back at Heartland, Jack's grumpy because he's only getting static on the radio, but Peter advises that his guys have cleared the road to the cabin. They're about to head off when lo and behold, Amy and Ty pull up.

Jack wants to know how they got there, and she explains that a Bedford Oil plough, of all things, cleared the road for them. Mallory expresses her concern for Ty, and he assures her he's okay.

Lou calls out for Amy. Amy looks up and sees Lou with Peter. “Internet Guy,” Mallory says under her breath. Lou asks if Amy's okay. She is, of course, but asks Lou if she's okay, obviously referring to Peter.

“Yeah, I think so,” Lou says wryly. “I'll tell you all about him.”

“You'd better,” Amy replies, and the two head into the house.

Back at the O'Dell-Stanton trailer, Caleb makes his not-so-triumphant return. He calls out for Ashley as soon as he's out of his truck. Instead of the warm welcome-home he's probably expecting, he's greeted by something much worse. See, after he's done hugging and twirling her around, and telling her he missed her a lot, he says: “There's something I gotta tell you.”

But Ashley says there's something she wants to tell him, too. She goes back inside the trailer, picks up a garbage bag full of some of Caleb's belongings, and tosses it at him. “Get the h*ll out of here!” she shouts, much to Caleb's surprise. “Leave!”

She keeps chucking his stuff outside like a madwoman, then slams the door shut. As an afterthought, she throws a pair of cowboy boots at him. Don't think he's gonna be able to live inside those, Ash...

Hmm...There was a young cowboy who lived in a shoe...

Back at Heartland, Jack comes 'round (a little) and thanks Peter for his help. They shake hands firmly, much to Lou's relief and delight.

“Just give him twenty years or so,” Lou says to Peter. Yeah, that's probably how long it'll take him to get used to the idea. She apologises that she didn't tell the family about them from the start. “If there even still is an 'us',” she says. But Peter's such a sweet guy... of course he doesn't want to call it quits, and they go off into town for a lunch date.

Ty's taken up residence on the once-forbidden couch in front of the fireplace. “It's just temporary,” Ty explains, when Jack teases him about dirty socks lying all over the living room.

“It better not be,” Jack says. Ty looks surprised, so Jack leans in closer to explain. He reminds Ty about the time, long ago, when he warned him about getting close to his grand-daughters.

Ty thinks Jack's talking about what might have transpired up at the cabin, but Jack doesn't exactly mean that. “No kissin' and runnin' this time. You get my drift?” Jack says, obviously very aware of just how close Ty and Amy have become.

Ty gets where Jack is coming from. Nice to see Ty has Jack's approval to 'court' his grand-daughter, and he knows he's a lucky, son-of-a-gun to have it.

Tim's just finished the repair job on his gate when Jack drives up and presents him with a cheque. Jack advises his former son-in-law that it ought to tide him over for a year. Tim doesn't want to accept, but Jack insists, saying he wouldn't be able to tolerate being boxed in by Val Stanton on two sides. They agree that it's beautiful country that Tim really doesn't want to sell. Jack does let Tim know he doesn't have to be in too much hurry to pay him back; he's planning on gouging him on the interest...

Bad Val. She pulls her Range Rover off to the side while she takes a call. Apparently her doctor wants her to go for more tests. Looks like everything wasn't as fine as she thought they were. Ooh, my feelings are so mixed! Can you really have compassion for someone so maddeningly frustrating?!

To close out the episode and the season, Amy joins Ty on the couch when she brings him a hot drink. He puts his arm around her shoulder, and they lean in to kiss. Mallory and Jake walk in. She asks if they're intruding, and Ty and Amy reply in tandem: “Yes!”

“Don't catch what he's got, Amy,” Mallory warns, and she and Jake make their exit. “Finally,” Mallory says under her breath, giving voice to a lot of fans' hopes and expectations this season.

“You weren't delirious when you told me, were you?” Amy asks Ty.

“No,” he answers honestly. “Were you?”

“No,” she says playfully.

He prompts her to say those three words again.

“I love you,” she says, and they kiss again.

Closing images are of Ghost and his family, running free across the countryside.

And so ends Step by Step, and Season 2. But they'll all be back, boys 'n' girls, in the Fall.

In the mean time, we'll have to just content ourselves with re-runs. Only crazy people want the Summer to end, but a speedy Summer means a speedy return to Heartland. And that can only be a good thing, right?

So, bye-bye (to the recaps), so long, farewell... See you in October... See you when the Summer's through...

SOB! SOB! SOB! I have to wait forever, or what it seems like, to see Heartland Season three. Oh well, I thouroughly enjoyed season 2 finale. I'm not gonna do much criticing because that would mean I analyze a bunch of stuff and considering i told all my friends I wasn't emailing anyone cause I was to lazy to use that much effort right now, i'd be a hypocrite. What I will say is WHAT ON EARTH WAS AMY THINKING!?!?!?!?!?! Does she really want to get sick from kissing Ty! and it's not even its like a cold, it's a fever that's so high it made him hallucinate...and collapse! ARGH! that honestly drove me a little insane, but I won't complain about it more cause then I'll drive myself as well as anyone attempting to read this crazy as well. Mind u I already am and can confirm Twe is too so meh. I enjoyed watching Ashley throw Caleb out, cause if I ever throw a guy out of my home that's exactly how I plan on doing it. On a side note

@ Kerry James and since it was mentioned that he avoids it if someone can pass this on to him that would be great, hint hint nudge nudge, I can only speak for myself but without Caleb the show would be much less intresting....not only would we lose a cowboy who is rather easy on the eyes we would lose A wonderful character. And a realistic one at that. I personally think that Caleb is probably one of the most realistic characters on Heartland because he makes decisions and some people hate him for them, but during those moments, I love to hate you! and not in the bad way, the good way if that makes sense. At any rate this little note is to tell you that you are appreciated and I hope you never feel discouraged or anything else from what is said! So keep up the wonderful work, I thouroughly enjoy watching your sences!

@Twe I'm posting happy?!?!?!?!?!? I still have to Nuke my pop tarts.... if u don't get the reference you tube Brian Reagan Pop tarts, u'll get it then. BTW u may know where I live but How you gonna get here????? hahahahahaaaaaa Oh and when I started screaming when u told the article stuff over the phone, apparently I literally scarred the slim thing out of bed!

Anyway, I now have started my count down to season three. Time : too long

Well, not bad for a Season Finale. But I did think overall Season 2 kinda blew. I liked Season 1 better. At least there were no out of control twist endings, unless they meant Val or Ashley and Caleb. That would be dumb.

I can only think of one word for this episode...... FINALLY!!!....... Finally, the roof collapses with Ashley and her Mom....... Finally, we get to see the inside of Caleb's trailer......... Finally, everyone finds out about Lou and Peter........ Finally, Jake is back........ Finally, Amy and Ty admit their feelings........ Finally, the ugly Appaloosa "Ghost" returns......... And Finally (You guessed it) Amy and Ty get together.

First is Ty's High School Diploma drama. Mallory just can't contain her large mouth as she blabs about it when Ty asks her not too. It was surprising when Lou was the most enthusiastic about it, Jack in 2nd. And all Amy said was "That's awsome". Oh come on, just a little tiny bit more supportive? And his chosen career is to be a vet. I mean, lol, a vet? Ty? Better then being a New York Buisness person like Lou and leaving Amy again.

Then it's Ty and Amy heading up to the cabin. Everyone is keeping a careful eye on them, getting a bit concerned over them being alone in Jack's cabin for a bit. LOL. And I seriously do wish that once they would use some good music, I mean the only things I've heard that's good is both songs by Hey Rosetta. And the stallion returns.... Okay wild stallions would have gathered a herd by then, not just stuck with the one mare that Ty released him to. But man that was an ugly foal, ugghhh.

I'll review Part 2 soon! And congrats Twe

@TWE...First, i'm also a Gatineau resident...I just want to Congrat you on the interview...it was interesting! I also don't think that this blog truly dislikes Kerry, it's the character he plays so convincingly that folks online have a love hate relationship with.

@TC/Nikole - love the recaps...keep up the good work (especially your own personal insights...I don't always agree but I truly enjoy them, sometimes they make go hmmmmm, wow that's an interesting way of seeing it and I would DEFINITELY miss them if you didn't comment).

@The Friendly Freaks...come online and play more often. I find your input quite interesting and entertaining.

@Writers...come on...give us a Xmas episode...Alberta would be a wonderful place to have such an episode, you know, sleigh rides and hot chocolate...lol..that kinda of stuff.

@TV Fan...eventhough I never truly agree with you...you're fun to read! Deep down inside you really like what's happening...but like to play the antagonist with a poison keyboard (or so to speak).

Looking forward to season 3....Take Care All!!!

Wow! Congratulations everyone on a fantastic final episode of season 2. It was incredible. I loved it. The script was amazing, the acting was amazing, and the shooting was amazing. I spent the first half laughing at Mallory, Jack, and Lou. I never really like Peter before this episode, but he really grew on me as he started to take charge and make Lou do things. Then the whole part with Amy and Ty in the mountains was so well done. It was all so beautiful from the scenery, to their little talks, to Amy nursing Ty, to him saying she was beautiful, to the horses. It was such a relief of tension when they both just got out that they love each other. I also loved bringing back the stallion. Oh, and I was really excited to see Soraya back even if just for one scene. The thing with Peter calling his snow plow while Jack freaked out was pretty awesome, and when Amy said they followed a snow plow from Bedford oil, that was pretty great too. As always Mallory was there adding her little humor to everything. I do have to say poor Caleb...yeah it sure took him a LOT longer than 10 seconds to accept the check..way to lie Val. A very excellent episode with just the right amount of humor, tension, beauty, and drama. I loved it. I shall be eagerly awaiting season 3. Keep doing such a great job! Enjoy the summer everyone.
(A special thanks to the hero...fireblaze)

I think Heartland Writers should consider some Taylor Swift songs for Season 3, I think they'd really suit the mood.

All in all. Awesome!!!!!! Cannot wait until Season 3!!!!!!!

Part 2

Sorry it's taken me much longer than usual with Spring on the way to pos my review. And once again congratulations Twe!

Then of course Ty gets sick, he gets sick.... With what? Did they ever take him to a doctor? I mean since he was so delerious (Maybe Amy's the crazy one, not seeing "Ghost") Then he faints... Lol, okay that was just funny, because people do NOT faint like that. He just closed his eyes and flopped backwards. Then Amy's little un concerned questioning, she didn't even sound panicked. "Ty? Ty?". And how can she haul him all the way in there when he's out? She could I guess if it took her an hour. Then he awakens, determined he's fine and that he can drive..... HA! Then he's just tossing and turning and moaning in his sick bed. Okay that only happens in movies, I mean come on!

Then Val comes to confront Ashley, instead of continuing to sweeten the pot from their last lunch date, she gets impatient. Val then proceeds to telling Ashley that "It took 10 seconds for him to accept my sponsership money. Oh he didn't tell you?" and then during further argument she calls her raged daughter "Sweetheart". Okay crazy lady, why bother? But hey, we got to see the inside of Caleb's trailer! It wasn't as bad as he said, well mostly because Ashley was there, pretty small though. And if your old heater conks out, ever heard of buying a new one? I honestly do hope Val gets sick and maybe she'll see there's way more to life than switching tracks in her kid's.

Then Caleb returns. Obviously VERY happy to see Ashley. Then he says he has something to tell her (Most likely "I love you" or some other Gag me's we saw) She says the same thing then walks back into the trailer. "Get the HELL out of here" she yells throwing a garbage back at him, then a box, then a pair of boots and slamming the door in his face. Honestly Ashley, you believe your mother, how stupid can you get? But uhhh, Ashley? You just kicked him out of his own shack. If he wants he can knock on that door and drag you out. Then where'd you go? It's not your place and you CANNOT kick him out. Learn a lesson in life you unruly cow.

Back at the fishing cabin, oh Amy's bringing in bucket after bucket of water. Then crawls into the bed with Ty to try and get a wink of sleep. Then she remebers the most memorable moments between them (Oh god, that wasn't even a quarter, you look on Youtube there is lots of moments together). She wakes up in the morning, Ty's fever was broke. Oh yippe ki yay! Then she gets up to see the fire started. Okay no one except a freaking dragon can get a fire started that fast. and with what? Then Ty says "You're beautiful" (LOL. Still delerious there buddy?) she gives him a look obviously checking. "You are" he protests. Then she announces he has to come and see this and leads a sick guy outside, well that's smart. Low and Behold! It's Ghost (Surprise, surprise) with his ugly little mare and ugly little foal. Of course he lets Ty pet him, the guy who he believed in and the guy who let him out of that prison. And no that Ty and Amy are together, he lets Amy approach him as well. Then she gives a blubbering speech and then the "I love you" and "I love you so much" (Okay Caleb, try and beat that!) And then an "I love you too" and a lip lock. GAG ME!!!!!!!

Those are the terribly interesting parts, and I do hope you film the episode "Darkest Hour" in Season 3. But anyway, I felt like hurling at the end. But hey, that's Heartland! Horrible actors and storylines that just plain suck! Lol. See ya in the fall everyone! Have a great year. And have fun filming during the summer cast and crew! We'll be looking forward to Season 3...

To all the folks wondering about the newspaper article about the vibrant Heartland blogging community (featuring our very own Twe), an on-line version is available if you don't subscribe to the Calgary Herald. I also believe a truncated version appeared in the on-line version of the Edmonton Journal.

If you do subscribe to the Herald, check out the Saturday, March 21st. Entertainment section. If not, Google this phrase: "Hearts of the fans", but make sure you narrow it down to 'News' results; not 'Web' results. (You'll note that those options are available to you on the top of the Google page). The first result should be the on-line version of the article, written by Eric Volmers, dated March 23rd. I'd post the URL, but I think the moderators frown on that sort of thing... I'd also post the contents of the article, but then I think the Herald would frown on that sort of thing.

Hope you're all able to find it and read it!

TC, I also saw that article in the Herald and pretty much screamed with excitement! I think it's so great that Heartland is getting so popular. All the episodes have very good morals to them, and I think that's why a lot of families like watching them cause they're kid friendly, and don't have the usual junk in them that we see now a days in so many movies. The acting is outstanding! When I saw it the first time I wasn't too sure about it cause I thought it was going to be some cheap movie, but then when I watched it I was amazed at how fantastic it is! The actors are SUPERB, the locations are so beautiful - Alberta couldn't be a better place to film it :) - and each episode has such a great meaning and purpose to them. Thank you to everyone who works with and for all the Heartland crew for giving us such a great family film!

Congratulations Twe!!!! I think that's so awesome that you were interviewed by the Herald. Congratulations again!!!

Wishing everyone a great spring (if the snow will melt in Alberta...) and summer!

@ Batgirl: Uh, ok, you're back! (and believe me, EVERYONE has noticed.... ;) ) Nuking poptarts, are we? No, didn't get that reference, I'll have to go check it out on good ole youtube. Hey, randomly: very amusing video on youtube is "Pyro Buddy", with none other than Graham Wardle starring! Absolutely hilarious in its horribleness. Ok, everyone else found it boring, but it kept me amused, along with "Making of The Trove" or whatever it's called. And to answer your question, how will I get to where you live: duuuuh, it's called my twehelicopter. I shall come and squish the slime thing! Bwahahaha!

I completely agree with Mariah. But you know what would be better? If they got Taylor Swift on the show to play herself or a character. The writers could make her character a new singer who's songs are just starting to come out. And they need a place to film a music video for her new song. So Taylor asks Mallory's dad (aka Gorge Strait) if he knows of a place and cause the song is centered around horse he suggests Heartland. And in the end Taylor and Amy or Soraya become friends. IDEAS IDEAS I am always coming up with ideas for the writers (look at some of my earlier posts mainly in episodes blogs). Maybe I should become a writer? IDEAS. IDEAS.

I am wondering as to when they are going to post the finale show, I have been watching with great anticipation!!
I am so missing Home , I came from Calgary in '89 just after the Olympics in 1988,
it brings me back to Cochrane and all the places I lived and the beautiful world there that I knew.
ITs a great show, I love the Jack and Malery combo, they just kill me, just too comical!! and its going to interesting to see what happens, I haven't seen Lisa much so I wonder how that angle will come out and plus to see how Heartland grows for the next year?
I just hope that there becomes to spoiled cast members internal battles etc Too many good shows that are great for faimilies end up turfed do to internal issues!!
This is one happy committed fan, so much so I re watch your shows on line every two days no mater how many times I've seen them,
as I seem to get more out of them every time I watch, and depending on what goes on with in my own family.
Thanks to you staff and crew for the hard work and the best end result!

Just watched the season finale 2 months late.

I think 90% of the comments are the same: Yoo-Ooh for Amy-Ty Booo Caleb, which I totally don't get. As I wrote before, am I the only one who believes that Amy-Ty are more like Bro-Sis, Best-Buds caring deeply for each other? They've basically been living in the same house for 2 years now. Caleb? What did he do wrong in his first season to deserve so much 'hatred'? Don't you see Amy's reaction every time his name is mentioned? I call this unfinished business. This being said, I don't Amy belongs with Caleb either. But please don't turn Heartland into a big soap opera ...

I wasn't a big fan of Caleb's in the early parts of season 2. Then I asked myself, why? Some of the best scenes of the season was he and Ty when they got along (remember the rodeo episode or when they saved Spartan). They could do good things and fun things together, probably driving Jack crazy. Ty has become too much of a sweetheart.

I like the Oil Man (This guy still looks the same as his character on Street Legal, doesn't he?; BTW, whatever happened to the actor who played Cynthia Dale's boyfriend, David Something?) with Lou. I miss the vet though. And Tim's girlfriend needs to be a regular. Kit? Keep her aboard. She's a neighbor.

I think Val's illness will be a (THE?) major story line of season 3. Pretty heavy stuff. Good to balance that out with some humor.

Ashley became a more lovable character in season 2.

Hopefully, the writers will incorporate other issues ranchers out West have to deal with on a daily basis. In a realistic way please.

Wouldn't be bad to introduce a new character or two from school.

All in all, great show. Scenery is awesome.

2nd Be an early bird and a late bloomer. Never be late. In one case in ten minutes, before Fake Handbags In China get going, and the ten minutes are the moments of real gold. So I come 15 minutes earlier and stay 15 minutes late.
