What's Graham doing in this photo? Why is there a repeat of Episode 603 this Sunday? How many more new Heartland episodes will we get to see in 2012?
These questions and many more will be answered in today's blog. Click though for my weekly Thursday blog for all things Heartland.
So because there's no new episode of Heartland this Sunday -- I figure this is a good time to catch up and answer some questions that you've been asking lately.
First of all, I'd like to take care of the three questions I just raised only a few short paragraphs ago.
1) What is Graham doing in this photo?
That's Graham just being Graham. He loves to clown around when a camera gets pointed his way (except when the filming is serious, of course). This was taken last Thursday when he was waiting to be interviewed for the Season 6 DVD Extras. You can see sound recordist Gary Bruckner in the background, smiling at Graham's antics as he adjusts his boom microphone.
Over 20 cast and crew were interviewed by Series Publicist Gordon Imlach and filmed by cameraman Rene Collins, talking about Season 6 as well as their memories of Heartland since the beginning when the series started six years ago. Those interviews will be part of the Season 6 DVD package that will be available in 2013.
Once Graham got down to answering questions seriously, he looked more like this, which is how you'll see him when you add the Season 6 DVDs set to your collection:
2) Why's there a repeat of Heartland this Sunday? Are there any more repeats coming up?
There's around 20 Sundays between now and the season finale of "Heartland" and only 11 new episodes left to air, so there'll be a few more repeats in the upcoming months. Just to make sure we're all on the same page, let's walk through the next few weeks, shall we?
This Sunday (Nov. 18), CBC will run Episode 603, "Keeping Up Appearances," in which Amy taught a weekend rancher's trophy wife how to ride, and Mallory made a surprise return to the ranch from Nashville.
The week after that, on Sunday Nov. 25, CBC will be presenting a special marathon of Heartland episodes for the true romantics out there that can't get enough of Amy and Ty's love story. Three episodes of Heartland that highlight significant moments in their relationship will unfold back-to-back-to-back, so make sure you settle in for an extra-long night of Heartland goodness!
Then, on the first Sunday of December, CBC will air Episode 608 ("Do the Right Thing"), followed by another new episode the week after that, Episode 609 ("Great Expectations") on Sunday, Dec. 9.
CBC then switches to Holiday programming for the last three weeks of December.
3) Tabitha asks, "Is A Heartland Christmas going to air in December again?"
Yes Tabitha, CBC will broadcast "A Heartland Christmas" on Christmas Day. If you haven't seen it, this would be a good time to watch.... And if you've already seen it, well, this would be the PERFECT time to watch it again!
4) Shayla wrote, "OMG! I hate Chase! Why did he have to come back?
Chase Powers, as excellently portrayed by Torrance Coombs, has succeeded in becoming the most disliked character on Heartland -- a title he'll lose before the end of this season!
But, enough about that!
Seriously though, after reading the enthusiastic responses from almost everyone regarding last week's episode... how could they NOT bring him back?
And this is a plea to Kate, who went on a one-week strike, refusing to watch last week's Heartland because of the return of Chase Powers. KATE, c'mon and watch it; you know you want to after reading these comments, and I guarantee you'll enjoy what happens!
Speaking of bringing back disliked characters... the next new episode will feature yet another character who fans distrust. I'll share more on that in two weeks, except I will say that it will NOT be Blair. Nope, season 6 of Heartland is a Blair Free Zone.
5) lychee asks, "Blog Whisperer please give us a hint as to when Ty is going to propose to Amy!!! :D
How can I best answer a question like that? Hmmmmm... I know! A great answer that deserves it's own line...
Oh I crack myself up. But you should know by now, that's BW being BW.
Anyways, moving on...
We have a new feature for you fans who want to get deeper into the world of Heartland -- Lou's Mommy Blog, which you've seen her working on over the course of season six. Lou is blogging all the time, and now you can read what she's writing. I've heard that she shares thoughts that she doesn't share with anyone else on her blog, so don't miss it! You can find it either by clicking on the box to the left, or just click this link.
So that's all I have for this week. There's a lot to digest, and I let a few things leak to give you food for thought. Hee hee!
Have a fun weekend and we'll see you next week when I return with more news! And remember this Sunday at 7:00pm there will be a repeat of Episode 603, "Keeping Up Appearances."
All the best,
