Great promo saw it last night during Artic Air. Needs to be about 45 minutes longer don't you think BW. Is it September 23rd yet. Can't believe how time flies it just seems like we were watching the Season 5 finale.

Well, Blog Whisperer, you are over-the-top for this post!! Keeping promises you did!! I love the Q & A thing. I always learn new things. The preview is wonderful. Let's see, Ty's new hair style is attracting, but so is Graham, in general. The loft scene in the preview, is that Ty's loft?? Are those his pictures and award on the dresser?? And when Ty is looking at the engagement ring, is he in the clinic, or in a hospital?? And why are Lou and Peter looking so sad?? I think the titles sure do give much thought to the kinds of challenges the Heartland family maybe faced with. Hmmmm. The anticipation is rising....the clock is ticking......

How many times did Graham have to do the scene where he bumps his head on the cabinet shelf? ..just wondering how he kept from getting a headache if he had to do it multiple times.

I was watching CBC earlier this week and during commercials I heard- "Sundays this fall" and I immediately cranked the volume. So yeah, now every time I hear that, I grab the remote, turn up the volume an tell everyone to shut up for a sec:P

Obviously they have to go through an audition process in some way or another, but do they have to have certain qualifications? I'm curious what the odds are of a normal (non-actor) person being lucky enough to be chosen to be a part of the wonderful Heartland cast. Even if it's just temporary? Thank you :)

This preview is so good and a teaser. Next I will be buying season 4 and season 5 when it comes out! I am so excited! I now a friend who is hooked on heartland...lol! But the preview looks good so far...Lou never quits! I even have my daughter watching the show...she takes my DVDs and say oohhhh, mommy can we watch heartland? or are you watching heartland? I drove in a neighborhood today with her that had some ranches and looked awesome with some horses and the first word that came out of her mouth was "oh look heartland" so funny! Ive just realised something. If it says 7 Sunday's which means 7 weeks then that isn't right. As 24 days is 3 weeks and 3 days not 7 weeks! So where I have have made a countdown for 7 weeks I can dramatically change it down to 3! That's brilliant!

Yes, I replayed this several times too. It was much too short... I love Heartland, and am still trying to find out where I can purchase ALL of the first 5 seasons, along with the Christmas special. I HATE TO BADGER YOU BUT... MALLORY AND BADGER ADD COLOR, CONTRAST AND DEPTH TO HEARTLAND. IT IS NOT NECESSARY AS THE KIDS SAY THAT THEY BE AN ITEM.

Thanks for the preview. I have to be honest though that noting in it really grabs my attention. As much as I still love this show, I'm honestly not feeling anywhere near as much anticipation for Season 6 as I had going in to Season 5. Like most, I also really want to see Amy/Ty engaged, but as a fan I already that is going to happen this coming season...don't know exactly which episode or how it will happen, but I do know it's going to happen; so much of the anticipation is gone. That anticipation was there last season because we had no idea if or when it would happen, but with that cliffhanger last season, we now already know Ty's plan...we already know the Lou and Jack know...and we already know that Amy knows. So while last seasons's finale left a cliffhanger that left fans groaning, it also left this fan with less anticipation for this coming season because I already know it's coming. The magic moment that we had last season is gone now and several months are going to have passed since the finale till episode 601. Personally, I wanted to see what happened when Ty went back into that cabin that night...I wanted to see Amy's actions when she went to bed that night....I wanted to see how Amy acted with Lou and Ty in the day's after she found that ring. But we're gonna pic up 'months' after the fact. So for me, the 'magic' of that moment we had building up to last season is now gone. Sure, they are going to get engaged; but I already know it now and no matter how they do it, for me it's not gonna be the same feeling of anticipation as when Amy and Ty were on the couch in front of the fire in last seasons finale. Now I'm not complaining, I still love the show and I'm looking forward to Season 6...but I just don't feel the same anticipation as I was expecting to feel; I'm just trying to explain why.:)) On another note, it seems Amy is looking a bit more mature....meaning she's looking more like a woman instead of a gal who could still pass for a teenager(my opinion at least)...gorgeous as she's ever looked IMO. As for Ty's hair...not crazy about it; but if Graham wanted it cut then I'm glad they allowed him to do it....really hope it was Graham's decision and not the producers. I disagree with folks saying a haircut shows he's more mature...to me that's basically like saying if you have longer hair it show's immaturity, and I simply don't agree with that. My hair is longer than Ty's was...I don't think I need to cut it show show I'm more mature.;))

I was wondering if the cast who is not in an episode also receive the script. For exemple, Lisa, who's only in a couple of episodes each season; does Jessica Steen receives all of them? Or only the one that she's in it? Beecause they have to follow the storylines!

Thanks for the look into Season 6! It's nice to see Amy get back into jumping again! I have just a few questions about the horses of Heartland. Does Amber have a stunt do the higher fences? How do you find all horses?!!!!!! Do the ponies have onsite grooms? Do some horses get scared by all the filming equipment? What happens to the horses when episodes aren't being filmed? Where do you keep them when there are cameras rolling? How do you know which horse is in the scene?

I know, only a few questions. I also noticed that after the snow falls the episodes stop. It's got to be hard to film in the conditions, but shouldn't Heartland invest in an INDOOR riding arena? Just wondering.

Wow, great to see so many positive comments about the upcoming season, looks like Ty's new hair cut caught the attention!

Frisco, your idea that an engagement is inevitable this season, well I take a very different view. (nothing personal BTW).
The way Amy shut Ty down when he wanted to tell her about his post accident revelation, the way she stonewalled him when was looking for some encouragement in those back-of-the-truck/barn moments, and of course in that final hugely romantic scene when she started rattling on about not tying each other down, -its obvious to me that Amy was signaling she is not ready for the kind of commitment Ty wants.

If you look at the preview in that light - especially how Amy goes all wobbly when Ty brings up an anniversary - then its obvious to me nothing has changed, and unless Amy can find a way of overcoming her roadblock an engagement this season seems completely off the map. (I would however be perfectly happy to be proved wrong!).

When does the premier come to the United States? I'm a HUGE fan of the show and I can't wait for the premier!!!

I too am excited about the new season but admit to disappointment to how the last season ended. To have several month go by and Ty has not asked Amy to marry him doesn't make sense and to delay the process, frustrating.
I am also missing some of the old stars of the show that created the tensions such as Val Stanton, Ashley, and the friendships of Soraya and now it would appear Mallory is also out of the picture. Disappointing for sure.
Still the best family rated show on CBC and perhaps television so I will continue to be a big supporter.

Hey BW, I'm new here so I apologize if this question has already been asked, but I was wondering since the horses are "actors" too, how do they make the horses freak out or appear spooked in certain scenes? Specifically when Amy starts working with Alcatraz, I was just amazed at how scary and real that seemed, so I was just wondering how they create that behavior.

I just recently discovered Heartland on Netflix, where I was able to watch the first three seasons. Then I found seasons four and five on YouTube. I watched 85 episodes within about a two week time period and can't wait for more!

Since I live in the US and can't seem to find any channels that carry it, I wondered how quickly after an episode airs does it get posted to the "Watch the Latest Episode" link on this page?

Normally shows keep the main couples apart then the show fails when they get together. this is the opposite on this show. the show is so much better with Amy and Ty together. they have the chemistry that makes this an amazing show, and keeps you watching. after catching up watching all the seasons over again. the only episodes I really dident like was when amy/ty were broke up and they were with kit/calab or that chase. so writers keeping them together is what you should be doing cause it more then works.. just saying :)

Please note that I do agree with your observations of Amy shutting down Ty on several occasions, but maybe if we look at it from her point of view we could understand why she does/says that
1. Post-accident: you should recall how Ty shut her off ever since he found out about the death of his dad. She was even supposed to be on that trip, but he kept pushing her away, so in her mind they are still in that place (although she starts wearing the ring again)
2. Back-of-truck/end scene, I think she was the one who expressed that she 'hated' change, i.e. Ty moving away from her, and at the couch, she is merely coming to terms with the fact that this change is going to happen, so I'm thinking she says 'we shouldn't tie each other down' in view of her not tying him down, not the other way round. In her defense, Ty is about to go away to college, so she would never guess that he wants to propose first. And I think Ty is the one who should overcome his 'trying-to-guess-where-Amy-is-at', and just show her his true feelings; tell her what he wants (Like Lou said, 'she's ready...!)Sorry, I'm on team Lou.
I also agree with what Frisco wrote. Wouldn't have put it in so many words, but, yeah, what he said...

GMC has been playing older episodes here but if they have mentioned it, I havent seen if they will have the new season 6.

I agree, T&T, that's Amy's MO. She's so afraid of change she hinders her relationship with Ty. In the past, She's used anger,stonewalling, and unwillingness to talk things out with him. I noticed in season 2 and season 3 that when Ty wants to talk/share his feelings she uses the above tactics. for example, in S2E09 ,when Ty went to help her with the calf and talk to her she blew him off and refused to talk to him and later in the barn she blew him off again. But when Ty's unwilling to talk to her, she chases after him. Amy puts up walls and flat out refuses to hear him out.Amy at times refuses to compromise. true she's starting to change but she does still pull back. Amy's has runaway from the relationship in many ways as well. Since Ty's realized he can't run away anymore now Amy needs to realize she can't run away like she's done in the past. I think she will in the first two episodes of season 6.

I just wanted to add to my earlier comment, to be fair, maybe we need to look at Ty's point of view to understand why Ty does what he does as well. He's not the only one at fault for the misunderstandings. It's ironic that in the past when Ty wanted to talk about mom and dad Amy was too mad to listen to him and now she wants him to talk about his feelings and he won't. go figure.

I'm not sure if this has ever been discussed yet, but if not, I was wondering if you could somehow mention to your readers that (at least in the USA), the "Complete Season 1" & "Complete Season 2" are now being released here the label heading "As Seen On GMC" (with different cover art).

It's bound to cause some confusion to those purchasing them (as it has myself) for the following reason, the episodes contained within are how they aired on that channel alone, NOT how they originally aired in Canada (on CBC), and in the order they've been released on DVD (in Canada, and initially in the USA).

Their "Complete First Season (GMC)" contains all of season one, and up to Season 2: Episode 9. The "Complete Second Season (GMC)" contains Season 2: Episode 10 to Season 3: Episode 14 (so it's missing episodes 14 to 22 if a person has purchased the original Canadian set of the "Complete Season One").

This is not explicitly explained anywhere but on the back cover, at the very bottom (last sentence)in very small print: "Please Note: This Package Contains Episodes 23 To 45 Of Heartland As Seen On GMCTV".

Sad to say I didn't note that until after I had removed the plastic wrapping and removed the discs. I have since wrote a review about it under the product page on Amazon US, because I noticed another recent reviewer's notation that it was "missing episodes".

Personally I bought the original release of "The Complete First Season" (13 episodes), so now I'm forced to pick one edition or the other! If I order the "GMC" edition, I'll only have up to half of season 3. It's not known when the other half, and half of season 4 will be released (although the inside of the DVD states the "All New Season 3 Starts Wednesday August 1", so I'm guessing sometime possibly next year?) .

I'm also noticing on Amazon and eBay that the original Canadian releases are slowly disappearing (and if you can find them, the prices are increasing- especially season 4)! My guess is they're being phased out??

Anyhow, I've contacted Amazon and asked which edition they're currently selling, and if it's the "GMC" to please change the cover art to reflect that.
But it would be nice if someone like you, who has an audience of tens of thousands of Heartland fans (in multiple countries), could mention it to help prevent further confusion!

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!! I was one of those people asking about the premiere awhile ago and I bow down to you, blog whisper, you have kept me entertained while I wait for Season 6 to come!!! I am soooo excited!!! I really wish it was on an American Channel tho It takes forever for me to finally see the full episodes, in America were on like Season 3 and I'm like seriously were never going to catch up.
Can't wait & Ty's new look makes him look older in my opinion...I have been hoping for Jake and Mallory to end up together - maybe we will get to see them a little more in Season 6 too, I liked Badger but it seems like its a little too much like the Ty and Amy story, yet he's not as hot (no offense Badger fans) I just would just love Mallory with Jake!!! But I am still in love with Ty and Amy!!!! :)

I think Amy needs a experience like Ty had with the plane crash and bike accident. maybe when in the preview she gets thrown she cant use her legs for a episode. really hope she says Yes. or that he finally asks her. I have a feeling they will drag that out all year. still a great show just the show to me is better when they are together, then when they are apart. maybe if they have a fight next time let them work it out and not run anymore. :)

601 - Running Against the Wind

Obviously its more of a expression often used in situations were it feels like every bit of efford you try has no to little result. How does this fit in a episode?

I asked that myself and i only came to one conclusion, Ty didnt propose its several months later now. Ty got accepted to vet school. Amy is hopelessly trying to give signals to Ty that she knows about the ring, but doesnt confront him. Time is running out before Ty's school courses begins, and it feels like "running against the wind" for Amy to try to make Ty fess up about the ring and falters to one knee asking her. Which she obviously wants to happen!!! ( even mentioning the whole tying eachother down thing wasnt ment like how it sounded )

602 - Crossed Signals

Its nearly that time!! Ty school begins only a couple of days from now!! Amy is getting upset, while Ty finaly made the desicion to ask Amy to marry her. All of this crosses each others paths, but at the end of the episode it finaly happens the big engagement in the only place possible .... The jump course that Ty build in the first season!! ( ofcoarse by now everybody seems to know about the ring, the comming engament and Ty & Amy's struggle )

603 - Keeping Up Appearances

This is going to be the Funn episode were Ty & Amy decide not to tell any one about the engament yet!! And "keep up the appearance" That nothing has bin asked or sayd yet. Obviously our newest member of the family Goergie finds out and blurts it out during dinner!! 0o so much funn!! Mallory who is visiting is stuned ... how come she wasnt the first to find out!! ... did she lost her touch??

604 - The Natural

This could mean anything and everything, i Guess were going to see a lot of lovebird scenes here Jack & Lissa, Amy & Ty, Peter & Lou, Tim & Miranda, and ofcoarse the big farewell between Mallory & Jake!!! 0o i am going to miss her

605 - Trial Run

So hows this going to work out planning a wedding, Ty going to school Amy running the Ranche! Living together and the likes, Maybe even trial of the wedding day!! who knows??

606 - Helping Hands

Apperantly its all going to be to much, and just when Amy feels she's losing controll over the whole situation, there she is ... Soraya!! Lucky for her now her BFF can go and help her plan the wedding ..... or is Soraya back to anounce someting special of her own??

now i placed a update on trial run as a tweet came in: seems that episode 605 "trial run" might hold up someting else then i originaly thought. It literally means "trial run"

They were filming at the race track yesterday and monday, basicly meaning that they try out there new racing horse Cisco!! Since the actrice playing Janice has bin spot on set. I take it there is going to be some fireworks between the miranda/Janice/Tim triangle!!

Since Tim thought he would never see Janice again he hooked up with Miranda in 1 of the previous 4 episodes ..... the question is .... why is Janice there .... Is she there only for racing Cisco??? Or is she going to declare her love for Tim .....

Episode 607: Life Is a Highway

Its true not many other things can be sayd about life, it has its ups and downs but usualy it goes with the speed of light and it all goes to fast!!

Its obvious this is the episode were Ty will begin his school courses. Exactly the thing Amy was afraid off beeing left at heartland she ponders .... why did time go by so fast??!! Well simple answer time flys when you are having funn! Amy will have to make a decision once more ... will she stick at heartland and does what she does best ... care for horses.

Or does she believe now is the right time to pickup her own study again ( seeing Ty go off to school )The thought only gets stronger as she holds he niece, and plans for a wedding are beeing made! Georgie comes in and performce that role in the fam that we all came to know so well by Mallory. And just blurts out someting that puts the finger on the sore spot, enhancing Amys feeling that she had bin "left behind". Time is standing still for her while "life passes her by on the open lane of "the highway" of life

Episode 608: Do The Right Thing

Obviously leaving the other episode open the right thing to do would be going back to school isnt it? So Amy goes back to school as well. But what other right things are there to do? Maybe Tim is going to tell Janice the truth and tells her his heart belongs to Miranda! Jack finaly asking Liza to move in now that the house is so empty because Lou & Peter moved! Mallory is nowere inside, Ty is away all the time studying in Calgary. Id say the old Jack might just be ready for Liza as a permenant resident of Heartland ( even though Liza is on bussiness trip all the time )

So there you have it guys my update for the titles. BTW awesome trailer doesnt give to much away and still wants to make you watch it again

I dont normally watch that much TV. but this show is awesome writing, well except when you break up Amy and Ty (the fact that im even saying that says alot about your show). I hope you dont drag out the engagement all season, or do yet another breakup by throwing love interests in the mix for them both. if Amy was with calab or chase I wouldent care if you broke them up constantly, but the fact that we care at all about amy and ty characters, says alot about there on screen chemistry. for me the 99% of the shows work only when you do the will they wont they relationships for the leads. this one is the opposite, it is a much better show with amy/ty together. I hear in the books they dont get married. I hope that you dont follow the books to exactness. it would be a shame to ruin what you have here.

I am Rita, the 'last year and this year during the summer I saw the Italian television RAI 1 of many beautiful episodes of the various series of Heartland. I was very impressed by the extraordinary landscapes of Canada, in the region of Alberta, the wonderful cast of actors from Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Graham Wardle, etc., the grandfather, the father of Amy, the vet, all the players who participated in and are participating in this wonderful Seire are very good. I was struck by the feeling of the characters, their love for animals especially horses, situations always so calm, fair, dialogues always very fair, done with feeling. I'm sorry not to see more for this coming winter episodes of Heartland. I hope that the RAI Italian TV this summer will see the season to number 6. Luckily I recorded some episodes of Heartland so when they suffer from nostalgia and I'll look them will cover several times.
I love the characters of Heartland, all those who love the countryside and I love horses. when I was young I took some riding lessons, and rode horses lipizani. Wonderful experience. Thanks to those who conceived and made ​​Herartland, thank you with all my heart.

OMG i can not wait any longer for the season to start. I love Ty's(Graham) new hair cut. I hope that he asks amy to marry him i really want them to be together. I hope she also says yes to him. The preview for the new season looks really good. Even though i can't wait i am happy there is only a few days left of it to air. Since i am done of school and taking a year off to figure out what i want to do, I won't be as bored just working, I can look forward to heartland and all the other shows i love. I can just watch them no homework in the way of my shows. hahaha =P
