Yes, we're down to 24 days before the Season Premiere of Heartland Season 6 airs on Sunday, September 16 across Canada on CBC. So let's start this blog post off with a bang! And for this time of the year it couldn't be any bigger!

So then, as I posted on Heartland on CBC's Facebook Page yesterday, here's something many of you have been asking for... and by the response on Facebook I can tell many more of you have been wanting; the Official 30-second Season 6 Preview.
So without further ado:
I'll bide my time while some of you watch it 2, 3 or 4 (or more) times...
Okay then, how was that? I look forward to reading your comments below when you get around to posting them!
I did say "promises kept," and last week Maddy asked for the titles to the episodes of Season 6. So I placed a call to the writers and they said they would give me the names to the first eight episodes, as long as I credited them in today's blog, so I thought, "Why not? At least they are not asking me to ship some of my baked cookies as they have in the past." They said if I gave them their credit next to each episode they just might give me the titles of additional episodes in the very near future.
Now, I know this is going to have many of you going wild trying to figure out where this season is heading. Good! That's what we're all hoping for. So speculate away, cause here are the titles for each of the first eight episodes coming up on CBC Television.
Episode 601: Running Against the Wind | Written by Heather Conkie
Episode 602: Crossed Signals | Written by Heather Conkie
Episode 603: Keeping Up Appearances | Written by Ken Craw
Episode 604: The Natural | Written by Leila Basen
Episode 605: Trial Run | Written by David Preston
Episode 606: Helping Hands | Written by Mark Haroun
Episode 607: Life Is a Highway | Written by Leila Basen
Episode 608: Do The Right Thing | Written by Mark Haroun
Those of you who recognize the names will see that it's the same core group of talented writers who've been working on the series since Season 1. Heartland is in good hands, fans.
The famous director Alfred Hitchcock once said, "To make a great movie you need three things - the script, the script and the script." Much in the same way the best jockey in the world can only go so fast on a mediocre racehorse, no director and talented cast can do much if they don't have fabulous stories and words on a page. Give them that amazing story... and you'll see magic! Like you, I'm very much looking to see what Heartland's talented writers have come up with for season 6.
Well, there's not a lot more I can add to that preview, so I'll sign off after answering a few more questions. But first, I would like to congratulate the many of you who correctly found and posted the answers to Monday's Time Killer. I'm not sure what this Monday will bring in the way of a puzzle, but it'll be something that I hope you enjoy.
Now some questions from the past week...
Teresa4 wrote, Will Heartland seasons ever be released on Blu-ray?
That's a great question, and I'd heard and subsequently posted that they would be, but I've asked my source again to see what sort of an update I can get on that. As soon as I'm aware I'll let you know in here.
Ashley asks, Is this new girl Alisha/Georgie a recurring character, almost Mallory-like, or is she just in a couple of episodes while Amy works on Phoenix?
Another good question. I've written before that Georgie, played by 11-year-old Alisha Newton, is a series regular this season, but perhaps you should wait until you see the Season 6 artwork, which will be coming out soon. If Georgie is there alongside Amy, Ty, Jack, Tim, Lou Peter and Katie you'll have your answer!
Michaela asks about why the DVD release in Australia is so behind.
We do know that Part 1 of Season 4 is coming out in September, and I know the artwork was just approved for Part 2 so it'll be coming your way down under in the very near future. The release dates are set by the Australian license holder. The owners of Heartland and the CBC have no control over when a season is released on DVD in another country, other than to insist it cannot be ahead of the Canadian release.
Danny asks, Do you know what other American stations will be playing Heartland?
No, but that info can be found on the Official Heartland USA site here:http://theheartlandranch.com.
And many of you asked when the Season 6 preview would be available for viewing and you now have the answer to that at the top of the page.
So as I wrote earlier, we all (cast, crew, writers, producers, the CBC and of course yours truly) want to read your comments about the preview. Let us know below what you think/thought of it.
And please continue to enjoy your summer in a safe and riotously happy fashion! That's what I plan on doing this weekend.
Until Monday's new Time Killer, and until next Thursday's next post, here's your faithful Blog Whisperer, signing off with the summer signature you have come to know me by -
