Hi everyone,
So... I just wanted to let you know that there's a press release going out on Thursday about something new --and big-- in the world of Heartland. Remember that illustrated image of Amy I posted a while back? Well, I'm going to tell you what it's all about RIGHT NOW!!! BUT... if you hate spoilers, don't read any more of this post! REALLY!

Okay, I guess you're still here! Yay! Here's the scoop:
On Thursday September 15th, Heartland is launching "The Heartland Ranch" - a brand new game on Facebook that allows you to build up your own ranch, tend to and heal horses, and share the experience with friends. I, along with a few dozen other hardcore Heartland fans, have been testing it for the past couple of weeks and it's awesome. PLUS --and I'm not going to give anything away here beyond this-- the game will evolve, improve, and get even better and richer throughout the season. There are a LOT of surprises in store.
I can't say it any better than this quote from Jordy Randall, one of Heartland's Executive Producers:
"We're thrilled with the opportunity to expand Heartland beyond the borders of the television screen. Our fans are very passionate about the show and this game will give them an entirely new Heartland experience,"
And you know what? I'm thrilled too. A lot of work has gone into this - from the Heartland writers and producers to the genius game designers, to the folks at the CBC, and our hardworking beta-tester fans, all the way down to little ol' me!
And like I said, the best thing about this is that it's not "what you see is what you get" - The Heartland Ranch will continue to grow and expand as the weeks go by, and you might just see some familiar faces from time to time!

Lastly, there's is one housekeeping note: This site is being updated over the course of September 15 - so if it's not available for a while, or not looking right, be patient - it'll be back soon! The regular Thursday blog post will go up pretty late in the day, probably.

ok...so I am just getting use to FB - I am 60 this year and really working hard to learn and be part of all this incredible technology....still would rather be riding but hey the barn is 40 minutes away and i got to go to work...just dont make it too confusing for those of us who are not 17 and total teckkies!!! thanks and I will definitley give it a try....

Love the game and the look of the new site. One question though since I'm not sure the site design is totally finished. On the old site when you went to any particular blog post there was always a 'Previous' and 'Next' link for us to quickly get to the next or previous blog post. We no longer have that so if we want to go to the next blog we have to go back to the main blog page and then click on the blog we want to go to. No big deal but just an extra step we have to go through. Just wondering if this is how it's going to stay or are there any plans on putting those links back. Also noticed the number of comments aren't listed on the main blog page so we have no idea if there are any more fan comments to read unless we actually click the link.
Looks good though.

I am trying to play the game on Facebook and it's not loading properly. I can't even start the first quest of placing a stable. I wish it would work!!

Don't know if it's just me, but I can't read any fan comments on Thursdays's blog post now. 2 hours ago that one was up and this one was down.....now this one is fixed and the new on is down.

Well, thanks for fixing Thursday's blog post BW. Unfortunately now there are several others that are not formated correctly. Seems like everytime I visit the blog and check them there are different ones that are acting up. For example now the blog with the first promo from 501 is acting up so there is no video and no comments....it was up an hour ago. Not complaining, just hoping you are aware of what's happening here....and hopefully you know the reason.
