THE OFFICIAL HEARTLAND BLOG

The Heartland Hourglass Word Ladder!

Happy Monday! Here's a little twist on the word ladders I've posted in the past... Click on through!

This puzzle starts with a 9 letter word that I think even my horse Bloggy knows the answer to.

After you solve that first rung, you subtract 1 letter and the answer to the following rung will be an anagram of the remaining 8 letters, all of which are contained in the previous word you just answered with. Then each following rung of the ladder loses 1 letter until you get to a 1 letter word (which again even Bloggy could solve, I bet).

Then the answer words on the following rungs add 1 letter each time, until you finish with the same word you started with. Simple? Well, some of the words are terribly easy, but I hope some of them might present a challenge! Bloggy gave up on several (like the Shakespeare ones), but then again, he's more familiar with George Bernard Shaw, so I understand his frustration.

Can you unscramble the words in the Heartland Hourglass Word Ladder?

An awesome show! The Season 5 Premiere is September 18 at 7:00pm on CBC.

I am a US viewer and we have not received any new episodes since Jack or dad got shot.. can we expect any new episodes? We have the the first six or eight about that many times over and over.

[Blog Whisperer: Hi Edie! The first 22 have shown (that all of season one and part of season 2). That group ends with the event you mention above. The next 22 Episodes (the rest of Season 2 and the first bit of Season 3) start up in the U.S. in September.]
