The Upcoming Cast Appearance
Next, an important reminder: If you're in Ottawa this Saturday, February 5th, Amber and Graham will be appearing with a whole bunch of stars from CBC Television, Radio, and News at Ottawa's Rideau Centre as part of CBC LIVE. As with the previous events in Vancouver, and Toronto, it'll be a totally fun day, with autographs, giveaways and more!
Starting at 2:00pm, Amber and Graham will be meeting fans and signing autographs along with the stars of CBC's 18 to Life, Republic of Doyle, Little Mosque on the Prairie, and InSecurity!
Wristbands: here's the scoop: 100 wristbands will be given out at Rideau Centre beginning at 1:00pm - wristband wearers will be guaranteed an autograph, no matter how long it takes. Anyone without a wristband will have to take their chances.
So once again, here are the details:
WHERE: Rideau Centre, 50 Rideau St. Ottawa, ON
WHEN: Saturday February 5th. The full day begins at 10am - Amber and Graham arrive at 2:00pm. Wristbands will be available on a first-come first-serve basis beginning at 1:00pm.

A New "On Set With Jessica Amlee"
I hope you're liking these, because they were sure fun to make. This week, Jessica sneaks into the writing room to chat with Heartland's writers. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out, and of course there will be a new one (#4) up on Monday!

It's actually something suggested by Heartland Fan Extraordinaire KMA88, so if you're desperate to know what it is, you might try asking her in the comments. If she sees it, maybe she'll answer. Or maybe she won't. Who knows? Not me!

[Blog Whisperer: It'll either be before noon on Friday, or it might have to wait until sometime Saturday - as of noon on Fridays the Secret Heartland Blog Command Centre is overrun by genetically engineered cleaning mice. There are thousands of them, and it's quite impossible to get anything done while they do their thing. But they leave the place spotless, so I don't complain.
One last thing though: Coconut cake is delicious...]

Amy deserves waaaay better than Chase, and so does Soraya. Chase is a jerk face and he is not even good looking. I hate that he is always cocky and thinks he knows best. Like in "The Road Home" he told Amy that the one horse was a write off, but Amy was able to get the horse to listen to her, haha so there chase, you dont always know everything. Anyways the last time i see chase, wont come soon enough!
Please in "Leap of Faith" get Ty and Amy together, they are just miserable without each other.
We waited two seasons to see them get together, so now they really should stay. And at the end of season three they almost broke up already. Once is bad enough. they need to get back together soon!

Am a big fan of the show even for a 64 year old.Am a bit disapointed in Ty's Character.He made it clear he wanted a breakup and now seems to be crawling back to amy who takes no responsibility for their problems.Her character must be about 20 in the show.She doesn't act very mature. If they get back together I hope Amy realizes how immature she has been.

I had the opportunity to meet Anna Ferguson at the Big Brothers/Sisters Hockey game back in Dec 2010. What a wonderful person she is.
Sugarfoot reminds me of Petey pants that is a friend on fb here. Petey talks about wonderful things he does and likes to eat, cracks me up all the time. :D
The first picture of Chase and Amy, to me it resembles something like where they are about to sing. You remember Hairspray dont you? Kinda like that.
The best thing about watching Heartland is the scenary, it's still what spring/summer in those shots, because the winter here is boring and I can hardly wait for spring.

Finally Chase shows just how devious he can be, poor Soraya and Amy. Jack giving Ty an ultimatum was excellent, maybe Ty will actually realize that this family is truly in his corner. Amy and Ty need to have that dinner and learn how to start communicating, instead of these one line dialogues - where one of them says something to tick the other one off and leaves in a huff. Typical young love but hopefully they will get back together and show how relationships can survive.
Did you know there is a Heartland ranch just outside of Kelowna BC and every year they have a Winter Festival which is an absolute Canadian blast - maple syrup sno-cones, and tons of winter activities - think any Heartland characters could make an appearance there?????

Has it already been written? Or are the writing crew working on that right now? Will there ever be any episodes filmed in the winter? Because, I dont know where in Canada you are, but if you are in Alberta, I am sure you realize that there is lotsa snow here. And it would be cool to see some episodes filmed in winter. I personally think that filming in winter would add authenitcity to the show, because around the globe Canada is known for its winters, and so far i can only remember seeing snow in the Christmas Movie. Just a suggestion:)

[Blog Whisperer: Hi Anetta! Season 5 will start filming in May, and preliminary planning is happening right now but nothing has been fully written yet. As for filming in winter, the show does keep shooting right up until December, so there *have* been snowy episodes, but shooting for weeks at a time in the foothills in the dead of winter when it's -40 might be verging on cruel and unusual punishment, don't you think? ;) ]

And trust me, this winter has lasted waaaaaay to long. I am completely ready for spring. Sometimes i do think we should just get rid of houses and cars and live in igloos with dogsleds. Hello Heartland,
I'm not sure who I should be sending this to or how much the writers consider viewer comments when writing this show but this has been bugging me for some time.
I really enjoy watching Heartland... love Ty and Amy, love the horses, love the family atmosphere. It's a great family show except for one thing: the swearing and use of God's name in vain. It especially bothers me that obviously it's a deliberate choice of the writers to include language like this. Do we really want our children to grow up 'used' to this language and speaking it, or should we think twice?
