I am very excited for this episode, but I probably won't be able to watch it until after Sunday (TV in the dorms at school are icky) but I'm definitely looking forward to watching it on my computer.

Keep up the great work CBC! I don't think I've been this excited about a show since Gilmore Girls ended. Heartland is just so beautiful, great characters, great acting, great scenery and great storylines. I wouldn't have asked for more.

YIPPIE....Scott is back!! Wonder how he will take the news of Lou’s baby on the way??!! I really hope Ty and Amy start making some progress in the getting back together department. I’m getting really sick of this same storyline. Tho I doubt it will happen that quickly but seeing the light at the end of the tunnel would be nice.

This might sound strange, but I'm wondering if this means Chase will turn out to be the nice guy and be true to Soraya and a friend to Amy. It really seemed like he truly liked Soraya in the previous episode. I just want Amy and Ty back together. Hope the writers take the hint that they can keep Ty and Amy together and people will still watch this show. It has a wonderful storyline with the horses in an absolutely beautiful setting. I haven't been this excited about a show in a long time.

OMG, Scott's alive. I missed him all these episodes. Oh, and I have come to a conclusion. Chase Powers should fall off Niagara Falls. Honestly, I can't stand the guy, especially since he's supposed to be dating Amy's best friend. Like Caleb said last episode, Amy and Ty both need to grow up and realize that they need each other. Ugh, they need to stop being so stubborn! Oh, and BW you broke my heart with the picture of Ty holding the box of things that remind Amy of him. Gah, Heartland is really frustrating me now! You know, BW....I would totally be ok with you if you lost all self control and posted one little spoiler. It would be like a little dose of reality in our Heartland World that yes, even BW loses self control once in a while. As for Chase Powers - can't wait to see what he is up to next ! Love him or hate him - it never gets boring with him around... and the pictures above seem to indicate a lot of "action". I really like the actor (Torrance Coombs) who portrays Chase. I have seen him in The Tudors and loved his work.

Hey! Ok, first, I gotta say, I LOVE HEARTLAND!!! Last weeks show was amazing and I can't WAIT for this Sunday's! It looks awesome! But, I also have a question for the BW. Heartland used to be mostly about horses, and Amy's special gift and closeness with horses. But lately, it's hardly been about that at all. It's been mostly about boys and teenage drama. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy that part too, honest, but I would also like to see a little bit more about the horses again. So I was wondering, BW, are we going to see more of that?

Just some brazilian news: after a month without Heartland here, Boomerang will air new Heartland episodes (in our case, the 13th episode of third season) in February. It will be on Mondays, 8:00pm. Until then, other episodes of third season are airing on Saturdays, 6:00pm.

Chase... why do i hate that name so much.?!

In the past, Heartland has been an extremely entertaining program with good family values. We have looked forward to watching it each Sunday evening. However, recently we feel the show is turning away from its original roots and becoming more of a show about adolescent, dysfunctional, or immature relationships. Previously the show was centered around the importance of family and now seems to be drifting toward the "same old same old" that we see on so many shows - unhealthy relationships. There is enough heartache and trouble in real family relationships without having to bring it in to what was once perceived to be good family viewing. Please return to the theme of seasons 1, 2, or 3 where family bonds seemed to be improving or strengthening rather than disintegrating. Also, we are disappointed that you have gotten away from the dude ranch and an animal focus. To us, the dude ranch provided the perfect opportunity to bring different characters into the show each week, and ways to bring healing to the animal and human guests. We feel, as do others we have spoken to, that continuing down this road will result in cancellation, and we certainly do not want that.

I don't think the box was Amy's idea to be honest. I think this is Jack's method of "leaving Ty at a crossroads." something like take the box and don't come back. Maybe he'll use reference to when he kicked Tim out. I don't think he'll be a jerk, however he will get his point across and leave Ty with some under the radar advice. Like Jack always does. And Amy better not mess this up.... again. She really needs to start thinking about the other people that will be affected by her actions and decisions; Soraya (Chase issues) and Mallory (who really misses Ty) I like the comment of Scott talking to Ty and getting him back in school. Glad he's back!!! :D Can't wait!!!

A lie by omission is still a lie. So you were lying to Soraya when you failed to tell her that you planned a partnership with CHASE in return for his bid on Dexter. You lied to Ty when you told him that you no longer had any contact with Chase. Amy, why do you keep lying to your friends and family?

Put your life in order by; putting Amy far behind you; getting your own place; and focusing on school. There is nothing for you at Heartland. Do you still have Kit Bailey's number? Move on.

Getting a job was the first step. Now be strong and stick with it. Look at how easily Jack brushed you off at the cafe -- sulking that you'd got a job, and ignoring how badly he's treated you lately -- don't expect any kind words of support from the Bartlett family. Your folksy charm doesn't wash. You've treated Malorie with near-continuous rudeness. It's high time you stepped up and put the heart back in Heartland.

Note to Ashley and Caleb:
Congratulations. Now show Ty the door; build your life together; and spend less time with any of the Bartlett/Flemmings -- they are terrible role models for healthy, nurturing families.

Looks good, really want Ty and Amy to get back together soon. Took ages for them to finally get together and they were broken up so soon :'( Will cry if the season ends with them apart.

I am ridiculously glad to see Scott again! I was pretty disappointed in him when he rejected Lou, but to be quite honest...I don't care how many babies she and Peter have I'll always thinks Scott is the one.

Love the show, but why would anyone want Ty and Amy back together? It makes no sense. Amy has given Ty the message LOUD and CLEAR that she wants Chase. Plus she's incredibly moody, self-centred, and manipulative. She has literally driven Ty to drink!!!

Hi everyone...I want to introduce myself. I am from Guatemala and I have to say that I love Heartland...:)...jejeje...that's new??...jejjejej...I speak Spanish, so I am sorry for my bad English... :) ...and my opinion about this new episode is:
I think it will be great and one of my favorites and it'll have a lot of drama...gess what...I like drama too...so that is a good combination... :)I'll be waiting for it..

I loved this show from day 1, but I can barely stand to watch Amy any more. Like Ty said, I think we're done.

Looking forward to this new episode. I absolutely love heartland, and look forward to the new episode every week.

However, I do hope that this episode is a little more 'PG' than the last one. I don't mind there being a focus on the characters for awhile, relationships etc is all interesting to watch, but i don't much like all the drinking (NOT a good influence for young kids especially those who love Ty) and the fight scenes etc, because what I love about Heartland is that is is clean and not stupid and 'feral' like most other tv shows which all seem to be about drinking and sex etc. Heartland isn't as bad as most yet but it seems to be heading that way. Please tell me it wont turn and be like that, an honest show which teaches good morals is why i like watching heartland, and why i hope it gets better so i continue watching it!

I hope Ty is only taking stuff over to stay at Caleb & Ashley's trailer so he's close by. After all, they're going to be gone on an extended honeymoon, right? Looking forward to seeing Scott again--We all miss him!

This show is seriously messed up. The only reason I'm still even watching it is because of my undying love and respect for Lauren Brooke and the book series that defined my childhood. Those books made me love reading and you nutty Canadians are ruining the entire vision of Heartland. Next you'll make a show for Chestnut Hill and then destroy that, too. Ty was never meant to be some "bad boy". He dropped out of school because he loved horses. And Lou had a baby with Scott. The whole show is completely turned upside down. I was learning to live with it but now it's all about relationship issues and it's just not right at all. I was also beginning to think Canadian television was less ridiculous than the horrible, over-sexed American shows but I can see now that I was wrong. Heartland has become such a letdown. Not as quickly as it would have had it been made in the States but it's definitely approaching that stage of O.C.-like characters and Gilmore Girls drama. At first I was SOOO glad that the show was made in Canada because Hollywood would have maimed Heartland beyond recognition but now you guys are doing the same thing! When is the world going to realize that horses are a million times better than boys, clothes and makeup?! Fix it before it's too late. :(

i feel like i've grown up with all the heartland people.but now that amy and ty are brooked up, the show is nothing. and they need to get chase out of the show, and amy and ty just haaaaaaaaaaaave to get back together..thumbs up if u agree.

PLEASE get away from your "soap opera" themes & get back to the type of stories that got us to begin watching Heartland in the first place. If not, we feel that more & more people are going to stop watching Heartland! If people want "soap opera" there is more than enough during daytime TV!
And, AGAIN, please let the irratating Mallory character ride off into the sunset. We usually fast forward past the scenes that she's in (whineing, complaining, etc.). Let her go back & live with her parents.............far, far away.

I honestly can't stand the horribly over sexed, alcoholic, ect, society that we live in today. After reading a lot of comment, I agree. I 100% love this show and will always watch, but I do think that things have to clean up. This world today baffles my brain! I totally do not understand it. And maybe I've been sheltered but when I watch tv, I want to like what I'm watching. Get away from reality and live in my fantasy world that I like to call Heartland. I still feel bad for Soraya, though. And what's going on with the fire? Chase, dude, what is your problem? Do you have some kid of weird fetish for fire that we don't know about? 'Cause this 'ain't the Ring Of Fire tour. And is Ty moving back in? Is that why he has that box of stuff? But i see a canvas. Which Amy kept, right? I'm so confused.....

Well, I have also read Lauren Brooke Heartland books but I don't mind if the TV show doesn't follow exactly like books. The TV series is just based on those books. They don't have to do exactly the same way.
But I agree with some comments about having more healing horses thing and healthy relationships. All this drama thing about Amy & Ty is driving me sick and I really think I'm not the only one.
The other day I watched back the episode "What dreams may become" S04E02 and I so loved at the end of the episode when Ty tells to Amy that he will work hard now to become a vet and then they can start their own business one day.
We all would like that so much. See Ty & Amy working together again with horses and building their relationship mature and healthy.

Amy doesn't deserve Ty. She acts as if she could care less that they are broken up. I have a hard time believing she loved him at all. Talk about bailing when times get tough. In any case, I hope he finds someone who is deserving of his loyalty, cause it ain't her!

OMG........... cant believe she gave him the picture back i remeber how he was so excited to give it to her and it was the thing that gave him hope that someone would find them and he would see amy again. there is no way they are breakin up for good watch in a few episodes theyll probably get back together and i wouldnt be suprised if they got engaged. it would be a waste of the show if they broke them up for good. i thought it was supposed to be vased on the books far as i know they never broke up there and the acident was nothing compared to tys coma in the book. cant wait to see wat happens. luv u guysz. Such a good episode, one of the best, so glad Ty is back, hopefully Ashley and Caleb are having fun. Can't wait for Amy and ty to get back together, I REALLY MISS MALLORY. It's like the show is missing something, even if she doesn't work at heartland she still needs to be part of the show!

If you really loved him(on the show) you would have believed him not Blair. Your attitude get's between you and Ty a lot....

Ty-- Good job on your part for moving back!! I'm so glad you did, heartland wouldn't be heartland without you. So glad you are sticking with Scott, you are a really good vet!! Please get back together with Amy, it makes the show perfect when you two are together :) And when Amy gets her attitude on or gets together with Chase or whatever it is, you should fight for her... Just a tip.

Jack-- Thank you for pressing on Ty to move back, it was kinda what he needed... So glad it made him move back. Could you do the same with Mallorie? I miss seeing her on the episodes, she adds humor to the serious parts, she fills in the gaps at heartland :)

i just got finished watching this episode. it was amazing! i am soo happy ty is back at heartland where he belongs! And Chase is such a creep/player. he had bllinded soraya and now soraya like hates amy now and its chases fault because he lied to amy about the move. and dont get me wrong i was happy to see scott back, but where has mallory been? i love her!! and congrats to lou again! a baby! girl or boy im wonering..

Nooooo!! Ty should have taken that job with the other vet! Now we're back in the boring and tedious soap opera drama :-( Glad Amy is getting into trouble with Soraya though. I would have thought Jack and Scott would have had a longer conversation about Ty. Afterall, Scott was also living at the ranch at one time, taken in by Marion. So he and Jack must have been close too at some point...

It was so nice to have a episode with animals in it. The puppies that Ty found were so cute, it was sad when the one died. But I think it Helped Ty to get back on track. Love Jack for want he did for Ty, he is like a Father. I hope Amy has come to the end of the road with Chase, he is a big Jerk. Hope he is gone for good. Hope that AMy @ TY @ AMY @ Soraya can fix their relationships. LOu is getting bigger very fast, is she going to have the baby this season? Cast @ Crew you are doing a great job. I am writing to express how much my family and I love the "Heartland" series. Keep up the good work.
As we were watching the show on Sunday evening, I happened to notice the crib that was set up in
preparation for the new baby. I am a Neonatal nurse who teaches parents a lot about taking their new baby home and how
to be prepared. Seeing the crib on the set with the bumper type padding surrounding the inside of the crib is actually considered

Awesome episode! I think this one is by far my favorite one this season. It had a little bit of everything horse healing, Scott, Ty and Amy! So happy Ty chose to go back to school and to continue to work with Scott. So happy Amy fired Chase nice to see him out if the picture! Well can't wait fir the next episode too bad it's so far away :(

Do you read the blog at all?? Because there is a tidal wave of comments all with the same message -- the show is in serious trouble and has pretty much become unwatchable.

It is possible to have compelling and convincing drama without the soul-destroying fighting and conflict that currently drives the show.

Hire new writers that have at least a shred of creativity and imagination.

It is really hard to watch a once great show go so bad.

This episode was one of the best! I love all the story lines included.

The baby's nursery is really adorable! I can't help but be suspicious about Peter talking about the future and how things can change. I hope he stays with Lou.
Jack was great like always. He gave Ty the best choice.
I was so relieved when Ty drove up into Heartland. I knew he would come back! I am so happy he and Amy are on a better level now. :) I am so looking forward to the next episode!

OK. Amy and Ty have to get back together in 'Leap of Faith'. Its in the rule book. If they dont, well then I'll be mad! And, wheres Mallory? She better get her but back to Heartland. She now has absolutely no excuse because Ty is back so she cant say she misses him. There.

I am on the brink of stopping my ritual of watching Heartland every sunday night. The show has gone off the rails with all of these whiney adolescents on it! You need to get back to more of the cowboy, ranching aspect of the show with only a little of the relationships. Personally if I were Grandpa, I would kick the whole lot of them off the ranch and tell them to get their own places!! I can hardly stand to watch Lou and Amy anymore with their pouty faces and stupid problems. Ty, you should have kept going on that motorcycle and started a new life somewhere else....heaven forbid if you ever married Amy you would have a lifetime of fighting. I am so tired of watching those two bickering. The concept of the show is great, but I am afraid you are losing me and my family unless the story lines turn around and get more into the animal, ranching, cowboying aspect of things.

I enjoyed last night's show because it was getting back to it's family values, tough love, animal caring, roots. This is why I started watching 4 years ago, but I was beginning to wonder if I was going to stop. CBC this is the Heartland we want to watch!!

I love "Heartland" and last nights show was a really good one, I'm happy to see Lisa in more episodes with Jack and I hope to see lots more of her on Heartland.I also hope Scott and Mallory will be on more too .. keep up the great work!!

Alright, so this was deffinately a better episode than the last few and one of my favouroutes for many reasons.
- for the past few episodes it was as if jack didnt give a crap about ty and though he had a funny way f showing it to ty in this episode it was evident that he loves ty.
- i loved how ty went out and did some soul searching! most of all im glad he went back to heartland
- i loved when amy and ty talked on the phone- it showed that they could still talk to each other even if they are not together but at the same time you could tell they are still in love with each other
- i loved how amy fired chase
- i loved how scott was in it- i missed seeing him around!

Now chase Powers!!! i hate him...i have from the start! but hopefully amy can finally see what a jerk he is. she claims he was from the beginning and yet continues to aquaint herself with him which is so ridiculous.
i feel like amy thinks everything is tys fault when shes the one who did the damage and shes the one who has a little bit of a messed up life! She doesnt know what she wants and she let go ofthe one thing that was real. When ty said evetything was his fault she sort of let him take the blame!

The one thing i would honestly love to see on the show is amy fightig to get ty back...for once instead of him always working on there relationship!
the end of the spidoes was great! i liked the smile but im hopeing it wont stop there...id really like them to get back together.
I also feel like amy wasable to reach the horse at the end because she knew ty was home! she was more relaxed and less edgy! hopefull thats a good sign!!

I agree with HORSEL VR98. Amy and Ty have got to get back together soon! I realize that they need time to grow up and get their lives straightened out, but COME. ON. They need each other!

Ty comes from a troubled past and returning to Heartland will only add to his long list of bad choices.

Ty has got to realize that Amy is a total non-starter. It's only a matter of time before she drags Chase or some other lowlife back into her utterly confused life.

Lots of folks have said it already: Ty deserves much better.

I have been watching hartland from the beggining and have read the books , i understand why writers have to change certain details about the books to make it more "movie worthy" but i always thought that lou would go through all theese relationships and still end up with scott, their relationship in the book is just as important as ty and amys. with that said amy is turning out to be a completly different person part of her charm is that she is more mature then people her age but now ashley is got more brains then her. SHE IS ACTING LIKE A SPOILED CHILD no one wants to watch that you can see that from all the comments. people want to see people take chances even if it goes against the norm. but on a positive note scott is back that is amazing to bad he isnt together with lou but now that she is having a baby i dont want them to be together it would hurt peter to much.

I disagree with the people who think that Heartland has become unrealistic and a soap opera.
After all, how many teenagers actually find their "one true love" when they are in high school?

Yes, it is nice to see some happy family life but there are 3 generations living under one roof in this family so it can't come without problems. That would be unrealistic.
I think it is great to see how many different ways there are to deal with problems. Every Heartland character has their own approach and this is great to watch. I love it!

i am kind of glad that amy and ty broke up.
sometimes people get the idea that Tv relationships are like reality relationships and that it is always happy go lucky. it just went to show that relationships aren't always happy go lucky. i love heartland and the people writing it are doing a great job. i love the drama.

Finally! We got to see Amy working with horses! It's been so long, I have really missed her "horse whispering"! Where was Mallory in this episode? I really miss her at Heartland! At least Ty's back, so that's one step closer to him and Amy getting back together! I will seriously die if Ty and Amy don't get back together by the end of season four!

I originally thought that Val would surprise Caleb and Ashley with a new house where their trailer was when they got back from their honeymoon! But now that it's certainly too late since Ty was living there most of the time, I wonder if Val will offer them a house, or something. Val certainly doesn't approve of the newly weds living in the small trailer!

I think that Peter is going to tell Lou about the cash flow problems with his job sooner than later.
Lou is probably going to freak behind his back!

I love that Lisa is going to be Lou and Peter's baby's God mother, boy will that kid be spoiled!

I think this part of season 4 it's starting to be like season 2 talking about Ty and Amy's realtinship. Ty leaves, and returns, they are not together and we are all wishing they realize what they feel for each other.I'm I right?

@Germangirl, I agree! I think that all those that say that they would stop watching the show if Ty and Amy don't get back together, are way to wrapped up in Ty/Amy's relationship. Hello! It's not all about them. I don't really care if they get back together or not. Just as long as I get to see them every week. If you would really give up Heartland over a break up, you must not realize all the rest of the amazing things that it has going for it. Heartland is the BEST!

Just wanted to say that I agree with INDRA BRIELLE and LEANNA...Last night's episode was great! It was good to have a bit of a twist in the show--the break for Ty and Amy--but I think the consensus here is that it is time for them to get back together, mature a bit and everyone will be happy. Which, by what happened at the end and from reading the Season 4 resume, I can say that there is hope that this will happen!

This episode was amazing! Confession I literally cried when I thought Ty was leaving, so glad he decided to stay.
I'm excited to see how him and Amy work things out.

I agree with "GermanGirl". Well said. I no that Heartland has veared away some from horses and the dude ranch. I have posted here that I too would like to see more of the horse healing focus. It has to be said, however, that Heartland has always been fueled by Ty & AMy's relationship. Relationships, especially when people are dealing with a personal history like theirs, have their struggles. I think the issue, is more the reason the writers had for them breaking up. From Amy's side especially it seemed petty and immature. They had overcome so much and to end over this seemed false.

As for some of the harsh comments posted here and the idea that the show is now somehow unwatchable, I just can't comprehend. Some detour of storyline, and "off the rails". I don't think so! This show is trying to show the growth and change life brings for it's characters; in life things don't reamain stagnant.

The acting is outstanding! What Graham and Shaun the last few episodes have done especially.

I could go on with reasons to continue to watch.

I usually don't leave comments here but when i see how much people are criticizing around here, i had to.
Just like GERMANGIRL said Heartland is about a family and a family business. So it abviously means troubles and, yes, a part of drama cause that's what families are about.Doesn't make Heartland a "soap opera".You can't expect to whatch some kind of fairy tale in a show which wants to be realistic! This is a family show but i think most of the watchers are teenagers and young adults and the show is working because it's about problems we, normal people, can face every day.So, if you think it's violent, whiney, soul-destroying and everything... i don't know maybe you should go watch some fairy tale and Disney movies, no one is forcing you to watch it.

BTW I would love too to see more horse scenes (it seems to be the case in the next ep) but Heartland is also about characters, i bet a lot more people would stop watching (and wouldn't have started to watch it at first) if it wasn't the case anymore.
So to all the Heartland team (and Heartland blog): you're doing an amazing job, you make us travel every sunday to a better place, but a realistic one, you make us believe, cry, scream,smile, laugh...There's not so much show doing it as well as you do. Keep on doing such a great show.

It was great to see Scott, when is Mallory coming back too? Amy and Ty are going through a rough time but they truly love each other, so I'm confident, they're goona be back together. I like the Jack-Lisa relationship more everytime,they're good together.

OK, "Horses".............who died & left you queen/king? We ALL have a right to express our opinions & you have NO right to say what you did!!! We have watched Heartland since the 1st ep in the 1st season & have ALL the seasons on DVD that are available. So..........we HAVE the right to express our view that we DON'T like the direction the show is going!!! And, that IS constructive critisism!!!
We don't believe that the original intent of Heartland was to be a show of teenage angst!!! It's supposed to be about a horse ranch (with action, scenery, etc.).....NOT about teenagers & their love lives. Go watch daytime soaps if this the type of entertainment YOU want!!! first, don't be mean and complain.
second, re watch season 3, it has amy with Ty and since they are together, their is little drama. I know some episodes have it, but most are about horses and all that other stuff. You can ever re watch season ! and 2 which is also about the horses. Everything has drama otherwise it would be too fake un not normal. aka it would be too perfect.

Gosh is it not obvious? Amy misses Ty. I mean why else would should she have to think for so long beofre putting the picture of them in the box? Or the painting? They should just get back together!!

Hey everyone So happy Amy fired Chase and Glad Ty came back!! Now ty has amy all to himself without Chase in the way.I totally agree with GermanGirl i mean it isn't like they can make everyone happy because some people like drama others like it dealing with horses and others like Amy and Ty perfect as a couple with everything in it! I am so thrilled to watch "Leap of Faith" I know it will end good because if something happens and they can't make season 5. So i have hope that they will be together. Also i wonder what it will be like when Lou has her Baby? I love the episode "Man's Best Friend" Thanks everyone just know that they can't make evryone happy and don't get your hopes up.

This was by far the BEST episode I have seen on Heartland. I so appreciated Jack's tenacity in bringing Ty to a crossroads - getting him out of his self-pity and pointing out to him with sternness about how he is affecting others as well as his future. Jack really showed a part of him we rarely see - his love for Ty. This was what I have heard coined "tough love".

I really enjoyed the scene when Lou and Amy are in the arena and Amy comments that life is just out of control and Lou says that feeling you have is "called growing up". Right on Lou!

This is the Heartland I remember. Amy back with her horses and Ty returning to the only true family he has. Thanks writers for bringing us such a great episode!

Also, so glad that Scott is back. I have missed seeing him on the show.

Hope Mallory returns soon. She adds such spice to Heartland.

Thanks again for producing a fabulous episode. I am all smiles.

My 2 cents on drama: Go to the Heartland facebook page, on the left it says, "Genre: Drama". There has been lots of drama since episode 1. It only seems like too much when things are going wrong. Which only proves how much we love the characters.

It is going to be the longest two weeks ever! Loved the episode. Such a relief that Ty is home now just to find a new room for Mallory!

I've always pegged Heartland down as a family show. Interestingly enough, I still do. I strongly believe that Heartland is an excellent family drama, and I think that as a series its going down the right path. Why? ...well, let's take this episode as an example. What life lessons can we find in it?

1. Lou and Lisa: while we often make mistakes and blurt out things we shouldn't, never underestimate an apology. The loving gesture of making Lisa the future baby's godmother was beyond words in kindness and consideration.

2. Jack and Ty: sometimes, tough love is necessary. It must have pained Jack so much to tell Ty to "shove off", but it was what the guy needed. Everything Grandpa said was out of love... and because he cared.

3. Amy and Chase: not every guy or gal in this world is on the up-and-up. You're gonna meet some downright backhanded nasty (though hot) folks. And when you do, you may fall for it. But when your realize, do what Amy did: come clean, tell your friend the truth. It may be difficult, but it's worth it.

Need I go on? I don't really want to, because I don't want to sound like Twe McPreach. Heartland is a family drama. It's not the horsie-version of "Dog Whisperer". So maybe some of us want more horses; that's fine. Maybe some of us don't; that's fine too.

And let's cut the character of Amy Fleming some slack. If nothing else, she is an honest girl. She can pout, scream, and stalk away, but she's honest. Yup, she drives me bonkers sometimes with her immaturity. But while those around her don't, she always says the truth, even when it costs her dearly.

But seriously, what's with all this animosity on the blog? It's a free world, last time I checked (that is, unless it comes to not using your recycling bin correctly). I love it when someone points out an alternate viewpoint to my own. Heartland is a family show; this should be a family blog. A good rule of thumb is... don't say anything you wouldn't want traced back to you. Its the internet, not the inter-untracable.

Okay, enough from me going bla bla bla. We don't want BW to send in his alien minions to control our posts.

This was the best Heartland episode!!!!!!! Was it just me or did Ty look like super handsome in the last part???????? And the song at the end...deciphering me by brooke fraser is my all-time favorite song! They are so perfect together sometimes I wish it was real...:) Haha fave part "Chase? How's that going?" *annoyyed look* "I fired him" "Really?" *adorable relieved hopeful look* This ep was gooooooood cant wait to see the next one! How come theres only one in febbb??????

@Sask Girl I don't think hes gonna die but i've had a feeling for a while now that somethings gonna happen with his business and then they'll be dirt poor or something like that. lou's not gonna be happy about that :):)

I loved this week's episode!! :) I'm happy Ty is back Heartland! I thought it was so sweet when he said (about the picture) "This doesn't belong to me" I also thought it was so nice of Lou and Peter to make Lisa the baby's godmother. Well as always, I can't wait to see Leap Of Faith. It looks amazing! I can't wait to see what Amy has to do to stop him from sueing Heartland!

General comment:

Of course we all have the right to post our ideas and opinions about Heartland on this blog. I do this frequently. I've been critical of the writers from time to time, and I've also been positive about their efforts.

As for the recent 'soap opera' that's been going on, I want to voice my opinion that some folks are being overly critical.

Two episodes of bad choices being made by the characters does not constitute a trend towards '90210'-like stories.

I think Heartland's track record ought to speak for itself. The 60 episodes or so that came before were full of family (drama) friendly content and clean fun.

But I suppose the adage is true: You can't please everyone, all the time.

I, for one, do not for one second believe that Heartland will descend into an O.C. knock-off. What is going on is known as 'growing pains'.

The show cannot be all sunshine and lollipops and rainbows week after week. Real life is rife with conflicts, heartbreaks, unwise choices and consequences. I'd grow rather tired of the 'girl and her horse' premise if that's all Heartland was. It might be enough for some, but not for me.

That is not to say that I'd watch 'Heartland 90210', either.

It is a fine line to walk for the writers, who know their audience - because they actually do (or have been known to) read these comments we write here. Firing the lot of them and hiring new ones isn't the answer.

A two-episode 'deviation' from the norm does not a soap-opera make.

If I can ask for one thing from the viewers, it's for a little trust, and a little patience.

Trust that the writers know what they're doing and that they won't alienate the ones who want clean, family entertainment; and patience that the problems plaguing the characters will be resolved.

omg i haven't posted for ever and i have so much to tell my heartland crazy buddies!

this was like the best summer ever (only amy and ty broke up :(
first of all because i'm getting a western saddle! and my horse (like spartan) is well on his way to being broken in! i got a belt buckle! (barrel racing one!) my cat had kittens and our dog had puppies!

sad news is floods and cyclone... amy and ty broke up and ty might be leaving... i don't know when heartland is on in aus... and my horse got seedy toe:(
